ALL MY EXES…

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Today is the day to put away things that have been holding you back. Open your grip and move forward with open hands. God can’t fill hands holding on to something else.

ALL MY EXES…

If you are going to have an exodus, you will have exes within your life, and that’s not always easy. I’m talking about things that used to be a huge part of your life, that no longer are. If you don’t have any of these, I’m worried about you!

I used to cuss, smoke dope and ride bulls. Those things are no longer a part of my life because I grew up. Those things are no longer profitable – not that they ever were – and if I were still into them, they would hold me back and most likely kill my testimony.

You see, I’ve had a transformation. Jesus saved me. I follow Him and answer to Him. There is a huge contrast between my before and my after.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

– 1 Corinthians 13:11-12

How about you? Have you seen a huge transformation because of Jesus? If you have, there will be people you used to connect with that you no longer do. There will be ways of thinking you no longer think and things that owned you that you are now free from. There are places you used to go that you no longer want to darken the doorway.

I call these things “trophies of grace.” If you don’t have a few of these babies mounted on your wall, you’ve not truly had an Exodus. Jesus changes things. He just does. If nothing’s changed, you are still in bondage. Break the chains. Ask Jesus to save you.

When Jesus saves you, He changes you. Embrace that. Go after that! That’s the start of progression and progress always leads to good and better things!

Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

– 1 Corinthians 15:51-52

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO MOVE FORWARD. TAKE STOCK OF YOUR EXES. IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANY, ASK JESUS TO SAVE YOU AND TAKE YOU OUT OF BONDAGE TO SIN AND DEATH THROUGH SATAN!

LET’S GO CRAZY!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

It’s time to step out of the box that has held you captive and worship Me in a new way. Hear My whispers about what I want you to do. Don’t worry about what others think. I love to see your passion for Me. As you arise in worship, My glory will fall!

LET’S GO CRAZY!

We could learn a lesson from the tripped out angels eternally circling the throne of Jesus.

The cherubim – often called seraphim – are crazy cool creatures with six wings, eyeballs on all four sides of their bodies and four faces: a lion, an ox, a man and an eagle. They see forward, sideways and backward, and as they circle the throne, they see something new about Jesus.

They see what Jesus is doing right now, that nobody else knows and it blows their minds. They see something Jesus is going to do in the future and they’re amazed. They circle the throne, and every time they have their minds blown – past, present and future – they say, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty who was, who is and who is yet to come.”

It’s a good gig, and they’re loving it. They just can’t get enough Jesus. There’s an energy that comes from them circling the throne, and it puts energy out into the universe. Really! It’s in the Bible.

Bet you didn’t know heaven was that fun. If you think heaven is this quiet place where there are little people who play harps, sing hymns with a piano and quietly say, “We’re just here to bless the Lord,” you’re way off base. There’s none of that.

There’s craziness going on up there – thundering, screaming and hollering and all kinds of craziness. All of heaven is going nuts for God. He’s that awesome.

Meanwhile, down here, we worry about what people think if we sing a little loud, raise our hands or, God forbid, dance around a bit. And shout to the Lord or cry out? Not in front of the kids!

Go crazy! Go nuts! This is a good gig and you should be loving it. Why? Because right now, Jesus is working in your past, present and future. Working out His awesome plan for your life. Now that’s mind blowing!

Then David danced before the Lord with all his might…

– 2 Samuel 6:14

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO DANCE LIKE DAVID. GO WILD ABOUT JESUS! HE DESERVES YOUR UNRESTRAINED PRAISE SO SHOUT TO THE LORD!

MOB RULE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

God speaks of a day when offense will increase, but that day is not for you! Forgiveness trumps offense. Think about who you need to forgive and start down that road today. Don’t let offenses destroy you.

MOB RULE

I believe America is the greatest nation the world has ever seen. That’s why it’s so hard to watch the moral decay of the last eight years. In my opinion, we have replaced truth with drama and our once great society has been replaced by the mob.

The mob doesn’t care who is right or wrong. To the mob, all that matters is who has the biggest bandwagon, the most popular celebrities, or the loudest mouthpieces in the “lame stream” media. This is a demonic spirit you need to recognize and make certain you don’t partner with.

You see, the mob is a cruel master. The mob must be entertained. There is no reasoning with the mob. The mob turns on itself time and time again, wreaking havoc on all in its path, and to what end? Justice? The mob doesn’t care about justice, only about destruction.

Like a swarm of locusts, the mob will consume and destroy at its pleasure until there is nothing left. It’s primary target? Jesus. The Bible. God. You. Me.

The Bible warns of a day when good would be called evil and evil good. Thanks to technology, you and I have the ability to be offended 24/7. Being offended is easy and it often feels good. Heck, being offended is addictive, just look at the mob!

Easily offended? Find yourself jumping on the bandwagon of politics, social agendas or just pointing out the sins of others? God has something to say about that.

Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!

– Matthew 18:7

We could be offended all day every day, but that would turn us into angry hate mongers. Don’t comment on that Facebook post or forward that email. Put down your picket signs and petitions. Why? Because it’s the devil’s distraction. It keeps you from focusing on the only thing that matters: bringing people to Jesus in these last days.

So stay out of the mob. Rebuke the collective. Get off that bandwagon. Testify to God’s goodness and saving grace. The days are short so don’t lose focus!

A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.

– Proverbs 19:11

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO DROP THE DISTRACTIONS. FOCUS ON FINDING THE LOST AND OFFERING THEM JESUS.

WILDERNESS LESSONS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

You were designed to be with Me. I love it when you seek Me. Just like a good daddy playing hide-and-seek, I will let you find Me and laugh with you at your discovery.

WILDERNESS LESSONS

If you want to go to the Promised Land, there are some things you should have learned in the Wilderness. Lesson No. 1 is who God is to us and who we are to Him.

Here are some of the most important lessons you should have mastered.

You learn to be completely dependent upon His presence.

You learn to be completely dependent upon His Word.

You learn to stay close to His manifest presence.

You learn that whatever the problem is, God is not your problem.

You learn to worship Him no matter what the day brings.

You learn to look at God instead of your circumstances.

You learn to let His presence dictate the environment you live in.

You learn to be OK with inexplicable things and supernatural experiences.

You learn to value His voice and His manifest presence more than anything else.

You learn to stay separate, not to fall prey to the frenzy of the mobs of this world.

You learn to march to the beat of His drum and in His light.

You learn that God is really, really good and that it’s really, really good to know God.

Through these many lessons, you should have a personal experience with Him in the Wilderness. That personal experience becomes your testimony, and the Word says it’s your testimony that makes you an overcomer, so overcome!

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

– Revelation 12:11

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO OVERCOME THE ENEMY. TESTIFY TO THE LESSONS LEARNED IN THE WILDERNESS – THAT GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

I DON’T WANNA

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

You are an overcomer! Don’t let the roadblocks the enemy sets in your way keep you from My work. Together we will find a way around the roadblock into your destiny!

I DON’T WANNA!

Well, in the midst serving – in planting and watering the plot of ground Jesus has given you – be prepared to deal with the “I don’t wanna’s.”

It’s a spirit of laziness where we say, “I’m not willing. I’m not concerned. I’m not going to get caught up in that. My schedule and needs come first.” Face it – laziness appeals to us.

If you’re so lazy your idea of a two-income family is your wife has two jobs, that is a major malfunction. You need to have a swinging vision. If you can’t get off the couch because Game of Thrones is on, or you have a mani-pedi scheduled at 3 p.m. and your polish won’t be dry in time to serve, you’re a loser. Yes, you heard me – a loser!

God expects a harvest out of you. When you don’t have any passion or ability to overcome, you’re being rebellious. When you have no vision, no motivation, no calm, and all you need to know is comfort, you’re thumbing your nose at the Creator of the universe saying, “You can’t make me!”

Oh, He can make you. He loves you enough to let you choose because the consequences for not bringing a return on His investment in you are steep. He calls the lazy servant “wicked.”

‘For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

– Matthew 25:29-30

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO HOE A ROW IN YOUR FIELD. IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE, YOU’RE NOT WORKING. BRING IN A HARVEST!

BAGGAGE VS. LUGGAGE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

It’s time to let go of the baggage weighing you down and let God carry it. Jesus already carried your baggage to the cross so you wouldn’t have to. Let go and let God!

BAGGAGE VS. LUGGAGE

When Leanna and I first got married, she’d cry and say, “I don’t really have a testimony. I’ve been good all my life…”

Of course, you know me. I’d says, “That’s horrible! Why don’t you go do something bad?”

My wife really does live a consecrated life. She doesn’t even say damn, and that’s in the Bible! Where does she come from? She’s just a good girl and she used to be concerned with that. Because she never drank, did drugs or rebel against authority, she didn’t know what her testimony should be.

I tell her, “Sweetie, your testimony is that you fell in love with Jesus at an early age and God kept you from those things. You didn’t have to get all dirtied up and go through the pain and consequences the rest of us did.”

That’s a good testimony and it doesn’t mean she doesn’t have ongoing, drastic revelations in her life. I can tell you, she’s not the same as she was five years ago. She’s growing and progressing in the Holy Spirit.

Heck, I’m not the same as I was five years ago. I hope you aren’t either. I hope you and I are going to continue to grow because we continue to fall in love with Jesus in new and more awesome ways. When that happens, there will be another Exodus in our lives.

Things that were, are going to exit because they are no longer part of my testimony. There will always be attitudes, ways of thinking, habits, people and places that need to go away if I’m going to move forward. I don’t want any baggage. I just want luggage!

That’s my prayer for you. That old things that drag you down and are heavy to carry would fall away. May Jesus give you luggage – light and ready to be filled with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and a list of souls you’re taking to heaven with you! Now that’s traveling light!

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

– Revelation 12:11

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO BE A TRANSFORMATION JUNKIE. SHED YOUR BAGGAGE. GET RID OF OLD WAYS AND PICK UP THE LUGGAGE JESUS SO FREELY OFFERS!

FOUR FACED!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I am preparing revelation to blow your mind! Dig into My Word. You will know Me in ways you’ve never dreamed. I am multi-faceted. My desire is to show you a facet of Myself that can’t be denied!

FOUR FACED!

Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and the apostle John all write of cherubim – or sometimes they are called seraphim. Make no mistake! These are not chubby babies floating around on clouds. Far from it!

These angelic beings are unlike anything in the Bible. They have six wings and all four sides of their bodies are covered with eyeballs! Now, this is a really big deal.

As they circle the throne above Jesus, they see things He’s done in the past that nobody knows about. They see things in the present and things in the future, and it blows their minds!

What’s even cooler is that cherubim have one head, but four faces that face north, south, east and west. The first face of this tripped out creature is a lion. The second is an ox, the third a man, and the fourth is the face of an eagle.

Why is this significant? Because the four faces relate to Jesus.

The Lion is Him as your King – your ruler and warrior. When Jesus shows up as a lion, He’s passionate, untamed, majestic and powerful. This is the face of Jesus in the book of Matthew.

The face of the ox is Jesus as a servant, wonder working, docile and practical. He’s there for you – faithful, hardworking, intentional and a burden bearer. That’s how the Book of Mark introduces Him.

The face of a man is all about the human side of Jesus that can relate to us in all our joy and suffering. It’s the side of Jesus that is your friend. He’s emotional, personal and family. The book of Luke describes Jesus like this.

Then there’s John. John experienced Jesus as straight-up God – the face of the eagle. That’s the supernatural, all-powerful, eternal side of Jesus. He’s mysterious, up there, above the clouds.

Do you know Jesus like this? If you don’t, open the Book and go after that intimate knowledge of His four faces. It’s the honor of Kings to search out a matter. He wants to be found!

The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!”

– Revelation 4:8

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO BEGIN SEARCHING OUT THE FOUR FACES OF JESUS. HE IS ULTIMATELY COMPLEX AND UNDENIABLY PERSONAL!

HATED FOR JESUS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Stop pleasing man and start pleasing God! God is looking for those who have a heart toward Him. God’s thoughts toward you are good and they are all that matter.

HATED FOR JESUS

There’s no more blatant example of Matthew 10:22-24 than Tim Tebow.

Heisman Trophy winner, tremendous leader, athlete, and drop-dead, sold out Jesus freak, Tebow has earned legions of haters inside and outside of the arena of sports. Why? Because he openly celebrates and honors Jesus.

This really breaks my heart. I know he’s not a Dallas Cowboy, but as a bad motor scooter for Jesus, we should be glad men like Tebow are on our side. I’ve had the great privilege of meeting his family. They are some of the finest people among us. Yet they, like me, are bad guys because we come in the name of Jesus.

I can tell you, being a pastor or being in the spotlight today, in the name of Jesus, is a lot like a disciple running for office. Look out!

However, if I’m being honest, a big reason why I’ve had a hard time dealing with my haters is because I have an incredible burden to represent the heart of Jesus well. You and I have the potential of being a church that misrepresents the heart of Jesus.

Not on my watch.

The church and its people certainly haven’t gotten everything right, but I want people to know God is the good guy. And if God is going to be known as the good guy, then the people of God need to represent God’s goodness. It is the goodness of God that leads men to repentance.

Tebow is a missionary kid. He’s served in the field and continues to feed, clothe, house and bring Jesus into some of the darkest places on the planet. For this, he is despised. Jesus told us that in these last days, people will call good “evil” and evil “good.”

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil.

– Isaiah 5:20

When you are attacked for his name be just like Tebow, do good anyway! Feed and clothe people anyway. Do it in the name of Jesus because you and I are not ashamed of the Gospel. It is the power of God to salvation.

No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper, God’s Word says it and I believe it. While Tebow may be hated for a short time by small minded people here, he is loved eternally by a good God and celebrated in heaven as an overcomer. Are you?

“You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.”

– Matthew 10:22-24

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO CELEBRATE BEING HATED FOR SERVING JESUS. PLEASING GOD HAS ETERNAL REWARDS SO GET AFTER IT IN THE NAME OF JESUS!

THAT’S NOT YOU!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

My plans are for your good and not to harm you. I am not a tyrant. While I teach you to trust me in your Wilderness, yield to My ways. Be comforted and grow strong. Your upgrade is My expected end.

THAT’S NOT YOU!

Sadly, there are many people who die in the Wilderness and never learn anything. They are so perturbed at God because they’re in the Wilderness, they never learn the value of His presence. Is that you?

The immature part of you throws a wall-eyed fit every time you get into a place that’s uncomfortable, so you rage against God. I think sometimes we forget God can be with us in painful places, so we decide He can’t be with us at all. Turning away from His presence kills your testimony, your faith and eventually, your relationship.

It doesn’t have to be that way! You don’t have to bail. If you’ve never let Him be your provider, stop that tantrum and let Him meet your needs. Need a comforter because you’re run everyone else off? His Word says He’s really good at that.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

– 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

The day is coming when you will stand before God. You will never suffer, experience pain, bawl and squall or spend all night rocking back and forth in desperation again. Trouble is, you’ll never, ever, have the opportunity to serve God in your Wilderness again. You need to imagine that.

On that day, you will say, “I wish I could be in something terrible again so I could stick with God one more time. I bailed the last time and I regret that.” Know this: that’s not you!

You are an overcomer. You are faithful and true. You do not bail on Jesus because He didn’t bail on you – and He could have! You will stick out your Wilderness experience, whatever that entails, and learn to depend on God for your needs. Pitch your tent in His presence and be comforted.

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO GROW UP! UNCOMFORTABLE? DON’T PITCH A FIT. PITCH A TENT AND CAMP AROUND GOD’S PRESENCE.

FEAST FOR THE SPIRIT

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Today is the day to feast on My Word. Listen with the eyes of your heart, then open wide your mouth, and I will fill it. This is a day of harvest!

FEAST FOR THE SPIRIT

To many of us, harvest time is of little consequence because in our modern lives, we are so far removed from the actual production of crops like fruit and grain. There was a day, not very long ago, when everybody understood the importance of harvest.

Because we no longer have to grow our own food and we can just go to the Walmart down the street, I want you to know the three principle feasts on the Jewish calendar correspond with harvest season. These are not Jewish feasts. They are Kingdom feasts.

The Bible says these things belong to God and His people.

For seven days celebrate the festival to the Lord your God at the place the Lord will choose. For the Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.

– Deuteronomy 15:16

You may think Jews are the only ones who can observe these special times of consecration. It’s true they’re the only ones doing it, but we can too!

God Almighty created the sun, moon and stars for signs, seasons, days and for years. The feasts are special prophetic markers in those seasons, days and years.

These feasts are times when God asks us to stop what we’re doing and seek out what He is doing. It’s a heightened time of hearing His voice. Are you seeking His face and listening to Him? Make harvest a big deal because Jesus is the Lord of the Harvest, and you are His fruit!

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO COMMIT TO THE HARVEST IN YOUR LIFE. LET JESUS BLESS THE WORK OF YOUR HANDS AND MAKE YOUR JOY COMPLETE IN SEEKING HIM!
