REDEMPTION AND PASSOVER

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

When you’ve watched and prayed, waited and listened, sought and not found, lay it all down and follow Me to what’s meant for you.

REDEMPTION AND PASSOVER

The Hebrew word for season means “prophetic appointed time.”

There are three specific seasons where God said, “If you stop what you’re doing and seek My face – if you make this a time of consecration, there will be a heightened elevation of how you can hear Me speak. There will be an open window of heaven.”

You and I as Gentiles, or westerners, have dismissed those things. We think, “Those crazy Jews! They are the only ones God Almighty instituted those things for.” You would be wrong. There are three times God said we all can find Him in a much more accelerated time than others: Passover, Pentecost, and The Feast of Tabernacles.

Today, let’s look at Passover. We all know what the feast of Passover remembers the blood of the lamb over the doorposts in Egypt. Ruth tells us the Feast of the Passover, which is in April, is at the time of the barley harvest.

So Naomi returned from Moab accompanied by Ruth the Moabite, her daughter-in-law, arriving in Bethlehem as the barley harvest was beginning. – Ruth 1:22

Passover represents redemption. Redemption is harvest. Where the blood is applied to shame, now there is honor. Where there was once loneliness, there is oneness with Him.

Where there used to be poverty, there is abundance. Where there once was history, now there is destiny. Orphans now have family and the lost have a home. All of that is redemption. If you need any of that in your life, you need a harvest.

Harvest doesn’t just happen. You have to work toward it by breaking up the dead, dry ground in your life. You have to plant seeds and water them so the Lord of the Harvest can say, “Your dead marriage is now bearing fruit. Your lost children are found, and your forgotten purpose is now being fulfilled.”

He wants that for you and from you – a Passover harvest in your life where dead, useless, lost things are redeemed and made new. Do you want that too? Apply the blood of the lamb to break up the fallow ground of your life, and watch God show up in that season!

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO CLAIM A PASSOVER HARVEST IN YOUR LIFE. LET THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB REDEEM HIS LAND SO YOU CAN PRODUCE FRUIT.

WITHOUT A VISION?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Come under His Cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. Follow the Spirit who is full of all wisdom, power and truth. Focus on Him. Let go of the old and receive the new.

WITHOUT A VISION?

Progression is a Kingdom thing. Since I don’t like to mess things up, I look ahead 20 steps to see what’s coming so I can meet the challenge.

That’s a good way to live your life. Take each aspect of your life. Ask yourself, “If I keep doing what I’m doing now, where will I end up in 10 steps? Fifteen steps? Thirty steps? If you don’t like what you see, stop!

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. – Proverbs 29:18

The Bible is very clear: without a vision, the people perish. Without looking ahead, you end up in really bad places and wonder, “How did I get here?”

I can tell you. You neglected to look ahead. As you move forward through life, you will always have crossroads. If you don’t see those crossroads coming, if you don’t plan for that intersection, you’ll be forced left or right by circumstances. That’s not a good thing.

While life, especially life in the Kingdom, is a forward progression, it’s not a predestined straight line. Your Father God gave you free will to make decisions. He let’s you and I choose the life we want to live.

That begs the question, “Can I go backward?” The answer is a clear, “Yes!” and that’s not a good thing.

Many people are out of timing. They go backward or stubbornly stay put, not wanting to change. Ever meet an old high school friend stuck in the past and can’t enjoy life or find their purpose? They’ve never put away childish things.

Pain and loss can also cause you to stop progressing. While it’s OK to stay put for a season to process your heartache, there is a time to get out of the rut.

Just as you like experiencing every new milestone your kids reach and every stage of their growing up, your Father God enjoys watching you progress. He has good things for you at each stage, but you have to move forward to find them.

Stuck? Looking backward? Call out to Jesus and take that first step forward. If you’ve never purposefully looked ahead to see where you’re going, do that today. Map it out. You can change direction as long as you’re still going forward into better things!

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO LOOK UP. TAKE STOCK OF WHERE YOU’RE GOING AND CHANGE COURSE IF YOU NEED TO FOLLOW JESUS CLOSER.

THE FACE OF JESUS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I love variety. I do not speak to everyone the same. Don’t let others force ideas upon you, and don’t feel condemned because you are unique. I find joy in you just as you are!

THE FACE OF JESUS

What does Jesus look like? I can tell you how I recognize Him. Jesus looks like goodness. Goodness is a hard thing to make into an idol.

How do you recognize Jesus? Is there a way He’s appeared to you in your life? Be careful that you don’t carve that in stone in your heart and tell others that this is exactly what God looks like, because it’s not. You need to let people discover Jesus for themselves. He doesn’t show up to you the same way He shows up to somebody else.

Once you chisel out God’s image, once it’s in the stone of your heart and mind, it’s no longer personal. It’s no longer relational. It’s also taking the Gospel out of who Jesus is.

This will really bake your noodle. There are 31,171 scriptures in the Bible. John 5:36 says, “the scriptures testify of Him.” Even though the scriptures are screaming about Jesus, there’s no description of Him. None.

Why doesn’t it say, “And Jesus stood 6′ 3″ having darketh jet black hair, browneth eyes and olive skin, which is natural unto the Jews of that region”? Do you know why the Bible doesn’t say that? Because we would call that Godliness!

We’d all have to have black hair in order to be Christians. We’d all have to be brown-eyed. We’d all have to have olive skin because we tend to worship an image. We conform our lives to images whenever we do not conform our lives to Jesus.

We don’t get out our mallet and chisel and go to town on a big piece of stone to carve out an idol. We don’t have to. We carve out images of God in our hearts and minds. It’s time to stop! That personal relationship with Jesus goes both ways. Even for your neighbor.

Those who make an image, all of them are useless, And their precious things shall not profit; They are their own witnesses; They neither see nor know, that they may be ashamed. – Isaiah 44:9

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO KNOW HE SPEAKS AND APPEARS TO YOU IN A UNIQUE WAY, ALL YOUR OWN. CHERISH IT AND LET HIM SPEAK TO OTHERS IN THEIR UNIQUE WAY.

MY CHURCH IS BETTER THAN YOURS!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

God is building up His body and you are a part of it! Be open to the direction of the Holy Spirit. Your place is to encourage the body. The Holy Spirit will show you how to serve.

MY CHURCH IS BETTER THAN YOURS!

We are the House of God and “a house divided against itself will not stand.” The Word of God says that in Mark 3:25.

Infighting and petty jealousy are the kryptonite of the church. God hates for us to fight the wrong enemy. We need to have a value for the church in the United States. Any time we see a church doing anything good, we need to make a big deal about it.

I get letters from smaller churches saying now that our church has blown up, theirs are dying because they can’t compete with us. Get this – we’re not in competition with each other.

In Johnson County, there are 131 churches and 180,000 people. If all the seats were filled, we can hold 26,500 people. That means 153,500 souls don’t even have a chair. Do not tell me churches are in competition against each other.

Newsflash! Our competition is the world. You have no idea the spirit from hell you are partnering with when you badmouth the church.

Yes, sometimes it’s hard to stand with other Christians. I try to find the one bit of common ground and plant myself there. We’re better when we serve together.

I love our tribe. I love our church and our weirdness. I am not mad at the other tribes for not being as cool as us. I’m not mad at any church for how they do church. Do not join the wrong team or kill the church’s efforts with “friendly” fire.

Know this: our tribe will not be known for who we stand against, but who we stand for – Jesus – and who we stand with – the church. We’re not all the same, but we follow the same King. To the keep!

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teacher, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

– Ephesians 4:11-13

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO LOVE THE CHURCH. CAST DOWN THE SPIRITS OF RELIGION AND DIVISIVENESS BY STANDING FOR JESUS!

I DARE YOU!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I am building courage and boldness in you to move into places you never dreamed. I have not given you a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. Open your heart and let me fill it with My desires. Then you will succeed, be fruitful and multiply!

I DARE YOU!

My whole life, I’ve never felt like a very successful person. The Lord has made me to be a successful man and I’m just now realizing that.

God’s been telling me, “Troy Brewer, you need to repent of that! I’ve called you to be successful. I’ve called you to be fruitful. I’ve called you to be victorious. Troy, you are.”

Cool! How did that happen, by the way? When did stuff that never worked before, start working? It comes from being faithful and God always giving me a green light, saying, “I dare you. I dare you.”

I say, “Don’t be daring me, ’cause I will.” And then I’ll be dipped, because I get in that place, and there it is, God gives it to me.

That’s how the Promised Land works. You believe God is saying yes, and you say, “OK, I’m going to make it happen because God says yes.”

God empowers you to make it happen! There’s not anything you and King Jesus cannot achieve.

The question is: Are you willing to take Him up on His dare? Because you know there’s something He’s daring you to do for the Kingdom. Whether it’s going on a mission trip, starting a ministry, building a business, going to college or kicking a money sucking habit so you can be a crazy giver – whatever He wants to you do – jump in!

I double dog dare you!

“When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you.” – Deuteronomy 20:1-2

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO GO AFTER SUCCESS. KNOW GOD WANTS YOU TO BE FRUITFUL AND VICTORIOUS. HE SAYS, “YES!”

REAP WHAT YOU SOW

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

If you see yourself as being incapable of doing good in any area of your life, you haven’t given Me everything. Until you do, I can’t show you how good I am. Trust me today.

REAP WHAT YOU SOW

We humans tend to make God in our image. Since we’re so bipolar – loving Him one minute, mad at Him the next – we presume God is bi-polar. That He is pleased with us one minute and angry the next. He’s not.

I can hear it now, “Pastor Troy, are you telling me God does not judge?” No! God is a world-class judge, and He is a righteous judge. But know this: judgment is always out there working.

Judgment is all about, “If this happens, then this is the price you have to pay for it.” You can also call that “consequences for actions.”

You need to understand that redemption is also working! The body of Christ is supposed to stand where redemption is. You’re supposed to point people to the blood on the doorpost – the Blood of the Lamb. You don’t point people to the death angel.

What will you harvest if you sow seeds of distrust in God, then water them with judgment? I’ll tell you what you will harvest – enemies. God did not call us to harvest hell. He wants fruit – people who know and love Him.

If you are truly about the Father’s business, you will be planting seeds of goodness – His love and His word. You’ll be selflessly serving to water those seeds. See, it’s all about the fruit and the harvest. What are you planting?

Let the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is Judge.  Selah    – Psalms 50:6

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO KNOW GOD IS NOT MAD AT YOU. HE’S JUST NOT.

MINING FOR PROSPERITY

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

As you stay firmly planted in His Word, you will not be up rooted. In fact, your roots will grow deep and your branches will bear fruit. Your storehouses will be full to overflowing.

MINING FOR PROSPERITY

There is so much hidden in scripture. It truly is a gold mine, which means you have to dig for its treasures. Like this little gem from the book of Exodus, which the Jews call the book of Names:

These are the sons: Reuben, Simeon, Levi and Judah, Issachar, Zebulun. and Benjamin Dan, Naphtali, Gad and Asher. All those who were defendants of Jacob were seventy persons, for Joseph was in Egypt already. And Joseph died and all of his brothers and that generation, but the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly. They multiplied and grew exceedingly mighty, and the land was filled with them. – Exodus 1:2-7

While it may look like a meaningless accounting of names, it is anything but! There is a promise here to dig up. What we know is the sons of Jacob moved to the land of Goshen in Egypt. Along with their wives, children and servants, their number was a scant 70 people. Add in Joseph’s family and you have 75.

Those 75 Jews multiplied like jackrabbits and the Bible says they became “exceedingly mighty and the land was filled with them.” That’s prosperity!

The Bible tells us Jacob was so honored by the Egyptians, they even gave him a name that meant “savior of the world.” They cherished his family as their own. Isn’t it cool how God can make an enemy into family? That’s also prosperity!

Up until verse eight, we have a picture of God prospering the Jewish people in the midst of another society, just like He wants to prosper you and me. Then the curtain falls.

There arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. – Exodus 1:8

Boom! Despite God’s blessing and prosperity, the enemy worms his way in to do what he does best – lie, steal, kill and destroy. It has been that way since the fall and it will continue until Jesus comes back and kicks some demonic backside.

So what do we do until then? We let God prosper us! We welcome His blessings and chase after Him to get all the blessings we can. Then, when the devil stomps around in our lives, we are not easily shaken and have blessings and prosperity to share with others. Prosper me indeed!

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO PROCLAIM YOU WILL BE SO PROSPEROUS. THE DEVIL CANNOT KEEP YOU FROM BLESSING OTHERS. MAKE HIM MAD TODAY!

WORSHIPPING IDOLS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I call you the temple of the living God. I will dwell in you and walk among you. I will be your God and you will be My people. Therefore, come out from among them and be separate. Be holy as I am holy.

WORSHIPPING IDOLS

I’ve been to India many times and seen giant monkey statues with sixteen arms holding swords and I think, “That’s just ridiculous!” You know what? It’s real to these people. I saw a mama bring her sick baby and lay that child at the foot of that idol and weep. It absolutely broke my heart.

While we don’t find many statues of monkey gods, Vishnu, Ra or Odin here in the United States, we tend to be idol worshippers too, especially at church. What?

When we put God into one image or one place, and say He only acts in this certain way, we’re putting him in a box. Nobody does that better than religious folks who tell us how God is going to move because the last time He moved, “it looked like this.”

Even we non-denominational folks are whack! Who else could make a religion out of not being religious? We tend to worship the way we worship, and often the place we worship, rather than worshipping Jesus.

There was a time in my life when I was part of a fundamentalist denomination. It was pretty strict. All the men had the same haircut, sideburns and wore ties. The women didn’t wear makeup. Their hair was in “bundage” and they dressed like June Cleaver on Leave it to Beaver. We looked the same, dressed and acted the same. We were worshipping the image of what we thought godliness was.

And I’m going to get hate mail for this, but here goes. Your Bible is not God! It is God’s word and it is good, but it is not Jesus! The Bible testifies to Jesus. Oh, I just pegged a few cringe-meters!

Let’s not carve images in stone! Let’s get back to what worship and church are really about – chasing Jesus. Being in His presence. Strengthening each other and lifting up God’s name. It’s all about Him!

‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me,Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’

– Matthew 15:8-9

RACISM – A SPIRIT THING

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

The Father is ready to show you His heart for others. Don’t harden your heart, but remain pliable and teachable and let God show you things you’ve never imagined before!

RACISM – A SPIRIT THING

There’s always been racism in the United States, especially in the South. I grew up in the South, and I remember getting slapped on the back of the head as a little boy because I drank out of the wrong water fountain at the Fort Worth Zoo.

I remember being shamed and crying, and people yelling at me to never drink out of that water fountain again. That did not happen 1,000 years ago. It happened within my lifetime.

I can remember pumping gas at my grandfather’s gas station. A black family pulled up and I ran to pump their gas. The manager said I could not pump gas for them. This was in downtown Alvarado, Texas in the late 1970s.

I also know what it’s like to run a rental store in a black community and be called every racist name you can possibly imagine day in and day out. I’ve even been shot at because I’m white.

One time, I was in the projects in LA giving out food. There were 52 pastors and I was the one white guy in the crowd. Somebody threw a brick at me, which dang near killed me. I was there feeding people!

Racism is not a black thing. Racism is not a white thing. It is a spirit thing!

The demonic spirit of racism, and the mobs that feed off it, have been stirred up by Satan himself and it belongs in the pit of hell. For those of us with an eye to see, we know God loves and created the races – all races. Do not partner with the spirit of racism!

Partner with the Holy Spirit. See others through His eyes. He wants us to be one in spirit because that’s where we are made in His image.

And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.

– John 17:11

FIGHTING FROM VICTORY

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I am preparing you for upgrade. Do not despise the day of small beginnings. Trust in My perfect timing and I will make your path straight and clear.

FIGHTING FROM VICTORY

Once you cross into the Promised Land, there’s a whole new way of doing things. People who don’t get with the new program, die. Upgrade is serious business. Everyone likes the idea of upgrade, just not the application of it.

You say, “I want to be a nurse.” OK, you have to go to college, work two or three jobs on the side, and be big time in debt for decades. Do you really want to give up your social life for several years to become a nurse?

If you want to be a nurse, you have to pay the price. You have to walk away from some comfortable things and the manna ceases. How you’ve done things every day in every part of your life, stops the moment you cross into your Promised Land.

That’s when you say, “God, tell me who I am supposed to be in this place and I will conform my life to that,” and God says, “Awesome. Have courage because I’m with you. I don’t want to baby you anymore. I want to anoint you and wipe some things out. We are going to partner together in a crazy, cool way.”

Together, you will fight from victory instead of for victory because the Promised Land is about empowerment. The Wilderness is about provision from God, and while that sounds great, it also means you are stuck in a rut where God has to treat you like a baby.

That’s not you! Grow up and live within God’s presence. Learn how to fight your battle for upgrade and He will back you up! To stay in the Wilderness where He bottle feeds you because you refuse to change or move forward is a huge waste of a life!

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

– James 1:2-4

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO EMBRACE CHANGE. GO AFTER UPGRADE AND WATCH GOD REMOVE OBSTACLES!
