WHERE’S THE PUCK?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

You can never have enough of Me. You can never spend too much time in My presence.  Our time together prepares you for My purpose – bringing souls into the Kingdom. Your destiny is to bring many into the family. That is where My heart lies.

WHERE’S THE PUCK?

Because God is consistently upgrading my life and bringing me from darkness to life, I’m going to be about the same business. I’m talking about a culture of hope – not blind optimism or a “hope so” kind of feeling.

I’m talking about knowing where the proverbial hockey puck is going to be and fighting your way there before anybody else does. You and I need to plug into that. We need to ask the King of Kings, “Sir, what is Your heart toward this?”

When we know the answer, our response should be, “That’s where the puck is going to be and I’m going to start fighting to make that happen now – way before I get man’s approval.”

Everything in the Kingdom is relational. Because of this, everything is developmental.

Religion has taught you that everything is about you being saved, like that’s the end-game. Salvation is the beginning. As a saved individual, you’re supposed to work to make every area of your life – relationships, finances, ministry – look more like heaven than hell, and not for your glory, but for His.

Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop–a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. – Matthew 13:8

You bear good fruit in varying degrees. Jesus said some are thirty-fold, some are sixty-fold, and some are one hundred-fold.

I don’t want to be a thirty-fold Christian, and I don’t want to be surrounded by people who are OK with thirty-fold. I’m like, “Where are those hundred fold folk? They are drop dead, sold-out Jesus-freaks who see the goodness of God in the land of the living.”

Don’t you want to hang out with people who constantly walk in transformation – who constantly walk in freedom? They are as “wells springing up” – not as people barely surviving. Is that you? Are you a well? Do you walk in freedom? Go after 100-fold. That’s where the puck is going to be.

UNDER THE INFLUENCE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Just as I have shown you the way to live a righteous life pleasing to God, it’s your turn to teach your children. Trust yourself to lead them well. Follow Me. I will lead you, and them, in the way everlasting.

UNDER THE INFLUENCE

God has given you an ability to reach your kids. He has. I know it doesn’t feel like it, but remember, your feelings are liars.

The heart is desperately wicked; who can know it? – Jeremiah 17:9

Your feelings are often controlled by the enemy, as well as the in-a-me, which can be worse. When you feel like you don’t have an impact on your kids, you’re wrong and that’s the truth.

But here’s the deal: you’re not going to reach them by the same methods delivered to you. Some things are timeless and some are not. The truth is timeless. The way you deliver it and the way you apply it, is not.

While the truth of the Gospel is the same, the way you reach your kids is unique to each generation. There’s a way you can communicate to your kids now that you couldn’t communicate to them in years past.

There are certain things you need to communicate to your kids in this generation that no generation before has ever had to deal with. So it’s important that you and I are all about bringing the Kingdom into our families. Remember, the kingdom is when the King has dominion – when we let Jesus rule and reign.

Now that doesn’t mean you have to make your kids learn a bunch of Scriptures and attend church every time the doors are open – though there’s nothing wrong with doing that. Please do that, but it doesn’t mean you force your kids to do church stuff. That’s not what the kingdom is.

The Kingdom is for you to be submitted in a way that Jesus can operate freely in your home. When you talk about problems at school, on social media, television, and movies and they see the Kingdom – or lack of the Kingdom – in this those things.

They need to see Jesus in you. In the way you talk, treat people and deal with your finances. They need to see Jesus in you when you’re stuck in traffic, and when the doctor gives a bad report. They need to see Jesus in you when they fail and when they succeed.

They need to see that you love them because you’re madly in love with the Lord Jesus.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” – Deuteronomy 6:6-7

You have the power to influence your children for Jesus through your everyday dealings with them and others. So talk about Jesus – and if necessary, use words.

HAPPY HUNTING!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I love seeing you hunt for treasure in My word. Don’t stop. There is so much more I want to tell you. Continue to listen to My voice in scripture. I Am leading you out of your wilderness and into your Promised Land – your destiny in me.

HAPPY HUNTING

After 40 years hiding in Midian, Moses had become the thing he hated most – a shepherd. He was surviving day to day in a place he never wanted to be. He needed an encounter with God, and that’s just what the brother got.

“And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” – Exodus 3:2-3

It’s not clear how many days Moses saw that bush burn and refused to go look at it. It could have been months or years. However, there came a day he had to go look. In fact, he said, “I will now…”

This took some real guts. Remember, Moses tried something different before and it blew up in his face. Just like that, there comes a time when you have to look into something that could cost you dearly. You need a God-ordained time when you turn aside from normal routine and seek something out because you want to know if God is in it.

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.” – Proverbs 25:2

The same God who made human beings made gold and hid it in a rock so you have to seek it out. Gold represents the divine nature of God Himself. Let me tell you something about God’s heart: it’s there for the taking, but you’re going to have to search Him out.

Have you ever been on a treasure hunt, played hide and go seek, or perhaps enjoyed a bit of geo-caching? The thrill and excitement can get intense when you find a prize. Searching out God’s heart can be exhilarating, exciting, and down-right fantastic! Don’t ignore your burning bush. It will lead you out of your wilderness. Happy hunting!

GO WITH THE FLOW

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Just as My thoughts and My love flow to you, you were made to return that flow. Look for Me to bless you in miraculous ways when you continually seek My face.

GO WITH THE FLOW

In Promised Land living, God’s goodness is flowing with milk and honey. Did you catch that? The important word here is “flowing.”

Why is “flowing” a game-changer? Because it means “continual” and “far-reaching.” It means it’s for every single season – for all time – and you’re free to multi-task. Remember the wilderness where you did one thing –  get through the day? Not in the Promised Land.

Have you ever had a wilderness experience? If you haven’t, you’re going to. A job will be lost, a child will rebel, a loved one will turn away, or a doctor will give a bad report. You find yourself surviving the day and you realize, “God is good to me, and God is not my problem. I’m so glad I know me some Jesus.”

Then you move into the Promised Land where the goodness of God is flowing – flowing with milk and honey. Milk is what you need. Honey is what you want. You get both of those things there, and one of the things you notice is that flow is not just day by day. It’s for all time.

In the Promised Land, the goodness of God is flowing all the time. Why is that? Because for milk and honey to be produced, a lot of things have to go right for a very, very long time.

You don’t just get milk because you have cows or honey because you have bees. There are a lot of working parts to the production of honey. The same with milk. A lot of factors have to go right. That’s why it’s flowing. Aren’t you glad for that?

Where is God flowing in your life? Look at your marriage, your kids, your finances or your ministry. Do you see the continual blessing? Continue to chase the Lord. Follow Him and give Him the Glory, then go with the flow.

That you may live long in the land the Lord swore to your fathers to give to them and to their offspring, a land flowing with milk and honey. – Deuteronomy 11:9

THE WILDERNESS KILLS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Before you knew me, I pursued you. Looking under every rock. I chased you down and you willingly surrendered your life to Me. Search for Me as you did in earlier times. I’m still right here.

THE WILDERNESS KILLS

When we find Moses in Exodus chapter 3, he’s a totally different man than 40 years earlier. He’s been living among the goat farmers in Midian. To Moses, civilization meant there’s infrastructure and rivers with pretty green stuff all around. There was always stuff being built.

That was before Midian. They don’t build much in Midian. They live in caves and tents. There are no rivers, and nothing is green. Everything he had ever known – that made sense to him – was gone once he sat down at the well.

Moses is in a new world. He’s hooked up with a brother by the name of Jethro – a rich ruler – and married into his family. There was a day when Moses had hope for his life, but not now. He was just living to get through the day for his second 40 years on earth.

“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.” – Exodus 3:1

Now, I’m going to show you something you may have never considered. The Bible says Egyptians hate shepherds worse than anything. A goat farmer the lowest of society.

“…for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.” – Genesis 46:34

Moses became the thing he hated most. Sometimes as human beings, we have a major malfunction and we don’t deal with it very well. We make one bad choice after another. We wake up one day and we’ve become the thing we always hated – only Moses had been there 40 years.

Is that you? Feel like a huge malfunction and don’t know how you got there? Don’t stay in that Wilderness with the goats. The territory may be familiar, but the Wilderness kills. It kills dreams, promise, and your destiny.

Learn to depend on God and go after your Promised Land. It’s one encounter away.

YOUR INNER CRAZY HORSE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

There is a very real enemy to defeat in your life. The only way to destroy this giant is to partner with Me – the Three In One. Together, we are unstoppable, you and I. There is power in unity with Me. Be strong and courageous.

YOUR INNER CRAZY HORSE

You don’t have to agree with everything another Christian does to be unified with them. You just have to be not against that person. We lose when we are divided. Israel fought amongst its tribes and it was brutal. It was not God. Instead of advancing, the tribes of Israel fought amongst themselves.

The Native Americans were here for at least 4,000 years before any Europeans showed up, and when they did, they couldn’t believe that people on this side of the world were still in the “Stone Age.”

There were no technological, societal or scientific advances here. It wasn’t because they were stupid or bad. They weren’t. But because every tribe fought against every tribe for 4,000 years, they never advanced. When an enemy showed up that was unified, the American Indians were defeated over and over again.

The body of Christ can learn a lesson from the American Indians.

There is one time that they won. It was June 1876 at Little Bighorn. The 7th Calvary, led by the arrogant George Armstrong Custer – the name “Armstrong” speaks of his own pride, died a prophetic death in a place that represents the antichrist – “Little Bighorn.” Custer came in the name of the Lord, but represented His name in vain.

Do you know why Custer lost? Because a brother by the name of Crazy Horse was able to, for one battle, get multiple tribes to stop fighting each other and start fighting the enemy. They actually won – one time.

Just like that, Lord, help the church because we need unity. We need to stop competing and put an end to the family feud. We do not have the same territory or the same methods. But we do have the same King. That is enough.

We are the house of God and a house divided against itself cannot stand. It’s not that God doesn’t love a good fight, because He does. He just hates competition between His tribes. It only leads to defeat.

How good and pleasant it is when people live together in unity. – Psalms 133:1

TRUST HIM FOR A HARVEST

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I am Yahweh. I have never changed and I never will. Place your trust in Me. I will be with you until the end of time. You may not see the big picture, but I do. Partner with Me, for My ways are higher than your ways.

TRUST HIM FOR A HARVEST

The harvest is the fulfillment of God’s heart toward us. We need to see what God wants done in our lives. We can’t leave it up to the world, our financial status, friends or someone’s opinion. No matter, what we’re going to partner with God to see a harvest.

“But Pastor Troy, the Bible says if God wants it, done it’ll get done.” To this lie from the pit of religious control, I say, “That is baloney! That is what the Pharisees say.” Jesus does not say that. He says,

When you pray, pray like this, Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. – Luke 11:2

God doesn’t get His way on this earth. If He did, we would all love and worship Him. Remember, He says in 1 Corinthians 13 that love…does not demand its own way. God is a gentleman. He may want you to believe in His Son and follow Him, but He’s never going to force you to love Jesus.

I want Jesus to have His heart done in my life the way it is in heaven. To do that, I have to partner with God in diverse ways to see His will done in me – to see His heart made manifest toward us.

The harvest doesn’t just happen. It is not guaranteed, yet it is expected by God. You’re supposed to guarantee the harvest. It’s not God’s job, it’s yours. Here’s how you do that: repeat after me, “I will not bail. You can trust me to steward this thing. I’m going to see it happen. I’m going to do everything I can to partner with You.

I’m going to remove weeds, I will not sow among thorns. I will break up the fallow ground and sow good seed. I will run the devil out of this battlefield in the name of Jesus Christ and I’m turning this into a vineyard. God, I’m guaranteeing You a harvest out of this.”

Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the world. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)… – Ephesians 5:7-9

This is a clear warning not to partner with sons of disobedience. The word warns us repeatedly to watch out for who we partner with because bad company will keep you from your harvest. Partner with God. You can trust Him for a harvest.

CLAIM YOUR HIGHER GRACE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

As a good Father and sacrificial Brother, I understand grace. I created it to bridge the divide between us. Grace can also bridge the gap between you and your children. They are My children too. Use My grace to bring them into their destiny.

CLAIM YOUR HIGHER GRACE

Brother Samuel, the greatest of the Old Testament judges, was one of the most awesome prophets there was. He pleased God in such a tremendous way. He lived a life consecrated unto the Lord.

Unfortunately, his kids were so bad, the children of Israel said, “We don’t want judges anymore. We need a king,” and they went and rose up Saul. They opted for a curse on the entire nation because of Samuel’s family life.

The reason godly human beings make this mistake over and over again is they think, “If my walk with God is awesome, it’ll just work out with my family. My kids will be OK because I am.” Newsflash! It doesn’t work like that.

I don’t care how solid you are in the family of God, if you don’t bring the Kingdom into your household here, you’ll have t-total hell with your family all the way up to your deathbed.

That’s not you. God Almighty has something better for you. There is a grace on you to reach your kids that your parents would have never had a clue about. You must partner with the Holy Spirit to reach this new generation.

You can’t raise your kids the way your parents raised you. In today’s society, which is designed to kill relationships and promote drama and selfishness, you need what only the Lord can offer: there is a grace on you that is significantly higher than what was on them. The Bible says so.

“Where sin does abound, grace does much more abound.” – Romans 5:20

When I tell you the Lord has saved the best of every bloodline for these last days, I’m telling you the truth. There is so much He’s trusted you with. So many lost souls who need to find Him and He wants to partner with us and our kids in that.

You cannot parent on autopilot at this time in history. There is too much at stake. Pray for your kids. Teach them the Bible. Speak destiny into them with strong declarations about who they are to Jesus and what they are to do for His Kingdom. Love them and lead them into the Kingdom. Claim your higher grace!

SPILLING OUT?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I sent My Son to rescue you. Come to Him and be filled with the living water I offer. I have called you to be different from this world. You are set apart to make a difference for My Kingdom. Let My glory spill out to those around you.

SPILLING OUT?

Though Moses’ name means “rescued” and he tried to rescue a Hebrew being beaten by an Egyptian slave driver, his crime of killing the Egyptian was exposed. Now, killing an Egyptian was punishable by death and Moses’ own grandfather, Pharaoh, called for his head. Moses beat feet into the desert.

But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian; and he sat down by a well. – Exodus 2:12

Now, the Midianites are some interesting folk. They’re desert-dwelling people. I have been to Midian and it’s like the moon. There are no trees – nothing but mountains and rocks. Although has its own kind of beauty, the only thing that will live out there is a goat and goat farmers. Not many places to hide. Moses went and dwelt there. He was now an outcast, a failure.

In God’s economy, wells are important. A meeting at the well represents the refreshing presence of the Lord – just ask the Samaritan woman. You and I are to be living wells, springing up, spilling out to those around us.

Do a Bible study of people who sit down by the well – Abraham, Joseph or Jesus. Wells appear to be symbolic of life, prosperity, and abundance. It’s when God shows up and changes everything. It’s God saying, “That was then, this is now.” It’s a constant act of redemption as if He is promising, “It’s always gone this way, but now it’s going to change.”

That’s exactly what happened to Moses when he sat down at that well. There was his life before the well, then there was his life after it. Moses was 40 at this time. Too late? His prime in the past? No way, and it’s not over for you either.

Know this: the word of the Lord is coming to you. Sit by the well. Your change will come, and it will be glorious.

EXPECTANCY FOR THIS DAY

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I Am more than you can imagine. I can do more than you can ever think or dream. I dare you to have great expectations for My limitless power, love and grace to show up in your life today. Look for Me. I Am with you always.

EXPECTANCY FOR THIS DAY

It is so important that we come into the presence of the Lord with expectancy. I don’t know what God is going to do at each church service, but I do know God is awesome. When I can’t predict His hand, I can predict His heart. He’s good, and so is getting together every week to celebrate Him at church.

Every time the Body of Christ gathers, there’s either going to be a band playing or you’ll be having an awesome encounter with Jesus. You and I need to come to church fully prepared to have an encounter. Without that, church is nothing but a big room full of people.

Before every service, I pray, “Lord, let there be expectancy among us.” I want you to know Jesus better, understand your Bible in a whole new way and get real revelation into the heart of God, but that only happens if you want it to.

If you’ve ever found yourself complaining about the worship songs because they “didn’t speak” to you, or saying the sermon was boring or “didn’t apply” to you, I’d bet dollars to doughnuts you showed up needing an attitude adjustment. You weren’t expecting great revelation, upgrade or encounter so you left disappointed.

I’m sure a lot of you are tired. You’ve worked hard and maybe your week had more problems than solutions, blame than recognition, sickness than health, and more loneliness than friendship. Church is the place you go to celebrate God’s goodness with thanksgiving.

Being thankful, especially in the midst of problems, will keep you from twisting off into darkness and despair. It also brings the expectancy you need to have those life-changing, paradigm-shifting encounters with the Holy Spirit.

Today, even though we’re meeting together over e-mail, I pray the Spirit of the Lord quicken you in such a way that you leave reading these words more in love with the Lord Jesus Christ than when you kicked the sheets off. I declare you will have expectancy that the Lord will do great things this day – and on Sunday.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your heart to God. – Colossians 3:16
