WHOSE AGENDA?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I know the plans I have for you. You are created in My image to be eternal and to love the things I love and hate the things I hate. I see these things starting to well up in you and it brings Me great joy to see My resemblance in you.

WHOSE AGENDA?

There are some really cool lessons on leadership, Kingdom living and just how to manage your own life in the Bible. You can see it in specific people God used for His purposes.

King David is all about Godly objectives. Moses is all about Kingdom strategies. While these are cool, the Bible says Moses knew the ways of God. Then it says “the steps of a righteous man are ordered of the Lord.” Those are Kingdom tactics.

Right there you have objectives, strategies and tactics. If it sounds like you’re a soldier preparing for a war, you are! But there’s one important question you need to ask yourself before going into battle, or heaven forbid, you decide to sit it out.

What is your Kingdom agenda? Because if you’re in love with Jesus, learning Jesus, and if you’re looking at His heart, the things you’re wanting will quickly become Kingdom things because of the influence of the Lord Jesus in your life.

Jesus has an agenda for freedom, mercy, forgiveness, restoration, redemption, truth and most of all LOVE. Is your agenda lined up with His in any of these ways? It’s a good thing to ask yourself.

By the way, you’re not ungodly for having an agenda to go to college, get a better job, start a business or get a bigger house. Just make sure they are also Kingdom agendas. By the way, don’t be scared that they’re not, because what the Father wants for you is even better than what you want for you.

Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. – Proverbs 19:21

This is the bottom line: Never leave the Kingdom for your own agenda. Never.

And what’s great is, you probably don’t have to. Jesus will meet you in that place if you’re seeking Him and His will – or purpose – for your life. Take a look at His agenda above again and His will for you will become crystal clear.

ON TARGET

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

My word says that children are like arrows in a Father’s quiver. You are My arrow. The lost and enslaved are My target. I have taken aim and you will accomplish the task I’ve set out for you.

ON TARGET

Truth means “this is real” and when you stand with truth, you stand with what’s real.

You’re not standing with the frenzy of emotions or the mob of hell that has a political or social agenda. When you stand with Jesus – the personification of the Truth – you’re standing with what’s real.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6

Truth is also what’s on target with the Kingdom. If your arrow is “true” that means it’s “on target” – that the King and the Kingdom are what it’s all about. The Kingdom is where the King has dominion. So when you look at a mob, ask yourself, “Is that what the Kingdom looks like?”

If it’s not on target with the Kingdom, it ain’t true. My friends, if you don’t know the Truth, you will be caught up in such bondage today because the devil has an agenda to keep you distracted from what’s real.

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8: 31-32

When you know the Truth – Jesus – is in something, you know what to fight for. If the truth isn’t in something, free yourself of that mob. Amen!

The Church in America is so important in this day. We have such a significant role to play. The Church has the answer and the world does not. The world offers drama – mobs full of drama that steal, kill and destroy just like their master, the devil.

All the devil’s apples have worms in them, and with all the free stuff that‘s being offered from the socialists of our day, comes a new link in a brand new chain of slavery.

America needs Christianity because America needs a memory. It needs to remember that Truth has a name and that name is Jesus Christ. He has set us free. So take aim and let your arrow fly to the target – the hearts of the enslaved. That’s the Kingdom!

THE BEAST WITHIN

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I Am a Life-giving God. Dead and impure things in your life will be pushed out and replaced with pure things and a renewed mind. No more torment only peace of mind.

THE BEAST WITHIN

Knowing I’ve been delivered from a messed up mind, I have a lot of respect for the Demoniac of Gadara, whose story is told in Mark chapter 5 and Luke chapter 8. I even dedicated my book Soul Invasion to this man who, in so many ways, is so like us today.

I have thought a lot about him over the years. I have even stood near the very cliff in Galilee where that famous herd of pigs plunged to its death possessed with the very demonic thoughts and voices that tormented him for years.

Though I don’t know his name, I feel like I know him. Though I never heard him speak, his testimony has preached to me and encouraged me for nearly three decades.

I know there was a time when he lost his battle for his mind, but for the past 2,000 years, he’s had a head full of peace. Only Jesus can do that.

I would pay big bucks to see the befuddled faces who saw him just after his encounter with Jesus. There he was, no longer hurting himself, no longer ashamed, no longer fearful or a menace. He was in the presence of the King and in his right mind. I’m sure jaws dropped in shock and awe at the difference Christ made in him.

I don’t know the names of all the people reading this, but I pray you meet the same Jesus and have the same testimony of having your soul – your mind – not only set right, but focused on things above — the Kingdom.

Today is a good day to access the arsenal Jesus provide to battle and beat the beast within. Let Jesus invade your soul and drive the enemy out.

Now the man from whom the demons had departed begged Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying, “Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you.” And he went his way and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him. – Luke 8:38-39

RUN FOR YOU LIFE!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

This is the time I have warned you about. Do not be deceived. Anger and discord will only take you away from My presence. You are holy. Be set apart for Me.

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

The one who calls himself the “prince of the power of the air,” loves the atmosphere of a mob.

The “mob” is the crowd yelling, “Crucify Him!” The mob is the Roman coliseum. The mob is the Spanish Inquisition. The mob is Germany 1940, and Russia 1982.

The mob is the Ku Klux Klan. The mob is Islam and Antifa. The mob is the left wing agenda of haters and mockers right here in the United States that has no value for anything real and thrives upon anything dramatic because the mob must be entertained.

That’s why we, in American culture, have replaced truth with drama – because we have replaced society with the mob. And people don’t care what the truth is. Instead, everybody wonders, “Who’s the most dramatic?” “Who throws the biggest fit?” “Who causes the most damage?” “Who makes the most noise?”

Those people have the biggest place within our society today because we no longer have a society. We now have a mob and God really hates a mob.

“Come out of her, my people! Run for your lives! Run from the fierce anger of the LORD.” – Jeremiah 51:45

Run? YES! Because that’s the kind of stuff the Lord pours His anger out upon. It is so important that you and I, as the body of Christ, have a different spirit, and we’re a part of something different in these last days.

We feed the homeless and help the poor. We give instead of take, walk away instead of argue and love those who don’t deserve it. We didn’t deserve it, but God gave it to us anyway. Let’s make some noise. Let’s love dramatically.

BETTER ISN’T EASIER

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THROUGH

In these darkening days, it’s easy to get discouraged. Instead of feeling defeated, change your perspective. Romans 8:31 declares that if I Am for you, who can be against you? Know that I keep my promises.

BETTER ISN’T EASIER

It’s easy to think things will never get better. It’s also easy to think that easy automatically equals better. It does not.

In the book of Hebrews, God Almighty is known as the God of better things. In Romans chapter 4, it talks about Abraham who, when it came to having a son and leaving a lasting legacy, had thought for 50 years it was never going to get any better.

God showed up and all that changed.

Who against hope, believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, so shall your seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. – Romans 4:18

This is the scriptural basis for somebody who tends to dwell on defeat. Knowing the promises of God for your life is the answer to the crippling thought pattern that “things will never get better” – aka depression.

Those five words are a lie from the pit of hell. Don’t buy into them. Instead, buy into hope!

If you are following God, you are following Him into better places. Things are getting better. They may not be getting easier because better is never easier. Better is always harder.

So don’t look for something easier. Look for something better and to hell with the devil who whispers his lies that you are not loved, you are defeated and things will never get better.

THE CURE FOR “NOBODY LOVES ME”

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

Know your identity in Me and the inheritance I have for you. Know I keep track of the number of hairs on your head and the tears you cry. I do! I know you better than you know yourself!

THE CURE FOR “NOBODY LOVES ME”

Do you really know how much you are loved by the only One who really matters? His name is Jesus Christ and the Bible says in Zechariah 2:8 that whoever touches you, “touches the apple of His eye.” Just so you know, that is the pupil, or “untouchable” part of the eye.

Jeremiah 29:11 says that when God thinks about you, His thoughts are of peace and plans to bring you to “an expected end” – a certain outcome or specific plan for your life. Wow!

Revelation 1:6 says He sees you as a King or Priest. Yes, Daddy calls you royalty! If He has a wallet, your picture is in it! If God’s got a refrigerator, your accomplishments are displayed all over it!

God likes to embarrass the devil by bragging on you the way He bragged on Job. He sees you through the eyes of love. In spite of this, you can’t really love other people until you truly understand how much God loves you. The greater your revelation of His love, the greater your capacity to demonstrate it for others.

Evangeline Booth, daughter of the founder of the Salvation Army, had a real knowledge of the Jesus-kind of love. As she sat in a filthy slum cleaning the sores of a drunk woman, a friend said to her, “I wouldn’t do that for a million dollars. “

Amazingly, Evangeline Booth replied, “Neither would I.”

She really understood what love was all about. That is the way Jesus loves you.

THE BIG SWITCHEROO

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

This is a time of transition into a new thing. Have you not heard? I absolutely love change and I want you to love it too! Search out who I am for you in this new place. As I take you higher, you will see me from a new perspective. It’s time to climb!

THE BIG SWITCHEROO

I love food, but would I want to eat the same thing every day for 40 years? Not really. For 40 years, the children of Israel didn’t eat anything but manna and quail. They all got tired of it. They grumbled but they ate. For 40 years.

It took them a long time to learn to trust God. Once they understood, the first thing they did when they got to the Promised Land was raid someone’s garden.

And the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten some of the produce of the land, so that the Israelites no longer had manna. – Joshua 5:12

The manna ceased. Can you imagine for 40 years, there was a certain way something worked? For 40 years, you had something to count on – it was there every time? I wonder what they thought when they woke up and there was no manna on the ground.

Maybe they thought it would come back tomorrow, but it didn’t. God just said, “Switch!” He’ll do that with you, you know. If you’re going to leave the old thing, God says, “Behold, I do a new thing. Can you wrap your head around it?”

With every upgrade comes a whole new way of relating to God, of experiencing God – of Him providing for you, and speaking to you. Are you going to rely on your methods or are you going to rely on Jesus? If you rely on your methods, you’ll go back to the wilderness to relearn that lesson.

I don’t want a trap door to fall out from under me! I don’t want to fall back into the Wilderness. If that’s you, get with the program! God will change your thinking, job, friends, church – even the place you live to get you on the same page as Him. Embrace the big switch! It’s your gateway to the Promised Land.

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO EMBRACE THE MAJOR CHANGES GOD HAS FOR YOU. TELL HIM, “BRING ON THE BIG SWITCH!”

OpenDoor Food Bank 30th Anniversary

SUNDAY, AUG. 30, 2020

JESUS TAKES IT PERSONAL

Matthew 25:37-40 ESV

“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’”

GOD BLESSES YOUR BUSINESS

Deuteronomy 24:19 ESV

“When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.”

YOU, AS A FOLLOWER OF JESUS, MUST FEED THEM

Matthew 14:15-21 ESV

“Now when it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the day is now over; send the crowds away to go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” But Jesus said, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.” They said to him, “We have only five loaves here and two fish.” And he said, “Bring them here to me.” Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.”

GOD HIMSELF WILL REPAY

Proverbs 19:17 ESV

“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.”

Romans 12:19-20 ESV

“Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.”

WHY GOD DESTROYED SODOM & GOMORRA

Ezekiel 16:49

Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 50 And they were haughty and committed abomination before Me; therefore I took them away as I saw fit.

IT’S A FORM OF VISIBLE FAITH

James 2:14-18 ESV

“What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”

The Lukewarm Church

Revelation 3:14

“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,

‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

DON’T GO ALONE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

While our journey together is personal, it’s also very public. I made you to share and show My love and My Word with others. I call you a “living epistle.” You are My love story. Testify to Love!

DON’T GO ALONE!

The Lord is interested in your upgrade. He’s intensely interested in you finding and fulfilling your destiny. Why? Because it’s not all about you.

You were born not just to make it, but to make a way for others to make it. All of this increase is not just about you. Promised Land living is a constant awareness of destiny, legacy and leaving a heritage of forward momentum for others to build on.

Like Jesus, we are to be builders and carpenters.

There is an old adage that says, “It is easier to fight for one’s principles than to live up to them.” One day, your life is going to require you to live up to what you’ve fought so hard for.

Life is fighting, pushing, running, overcoming, building, achieving, declaring and pursuing after God. Someday, not too very long from this moment, you will finish your race.

Now don’t start freaking out! You need to know how this works. For you to walk in the power of God, you have to live in the paradox of complete awareness of both your eternity and your short time here.

When you get ready for your big finish, I hope you can be like Paul – able to look back at your fight for forward and say, “Man, I fought a good fight.”

For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing.” – 2 Timothy 4:6-8

Notice how Paul was not only thinking about himself at the end of his life, but “for all who long for the appearing of Jesus.” Jesus is the prize. You have an expected end too – eternity in the presence of Jesus. Don’t go alone!
