IN PLAIN SIGHT
Your enemy may prowl around like a roaring lion, but I am the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. I will hide you in the palm of My hand where you will achieve My will. I will not be defeated.
IN PLAIN SIGHT
For my money, the account of Moses is the most fascinating in the Bible. The way God out-maneuvers the enemy is so awesome!
First off, the devil is out to kill the deliverer so he puts Pharaoh up to killing all the Hebrew male children in the name of “population control.” If he kills the promised one who will deliver the Hebrews from slavery, God’s plan will be stopped.
But the devil never counted on Jacobed, Moses’ mother. She builds a basket of reeds and calls it an “ark” – a “safe box where the Presence of the Lord is.” She puts the baby in and strategically places it in the Nile by the palace.
“And his sister stood afar off, to know what would be done to him. Then the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river. And her maidens walked along the riverside; and when she saw the ark among the reeds, she sent her maid to get it.” – Exodus 2:4-5
When Pharaoh’s daughter comes down to take a bath, it’s a big occasion. There’s an entourage because there are predators in the river and the slaves had to walk the bank. Why? To check for crocodiles because they were used to eating humans from having Jewish children for lunch.
“And when she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby wept. So, she had compassion on him, and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children. Then his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?” And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Go.” – Exodus 2:6-8
Did you catch that? Not only did God, through Jacobed, hide the deliverer in the house of the demonic man sworn to kill him, He rewarded Moses’ mother by giving her the ability to care for him as a small child, know her son was safe and get paid for it!
God can do the same for you! He can hide you in plain sight. He can cause compassion to spring up from unexpected sources and reward your faithfulness in crazy cool ways. God’s ways are not ours. They are so much higher!

THE BELT OF TRUTH
Immerse yourself in the truth of My Word. Proclaim and declare My goodness over yourself and your house. You are a warrior!
THE BELT OF TRUTH
I love to read about the Full Armor of God in Ephesians chapter 6. As a true Texan and warrior for Jesus, the armor not only has deep meaning for me, it is a motivation to go after Kingdom upgrade and advance the Gospel.
Though we like to talk about the sword, the shield, helmet and breastplate, there’s not a lot of talk about the piece of the armor that may just be the most important – the Belt of Truth.
The reason truth is seen as a belt in this scripture is because truth is what holds all your armor together under pressure. Surprisingly, God says the belt of truth is the first piece of armor you put on and that you should “gird your loins” with it.
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; –1 Peter 1:13
Remember, the Bible tells you that your loins are between your ears.
See, the mind is a reproductive organ. What you think becomes your words, attitudes and actions. If you are fearful, you will reproduce fear in all you say and do to the detriment of others. If you think about your past, your failures, or the enemies surrounding you, you will reproduce those things in your life.
Truth has everything to do with your mind. If you’re going to armor up, God says truth is the way to hold yourself together when the battle for your mind heats up.
What truth is that? First, the truth of scripture – that Jesus is God, He became a man, died for your sins and rose again to give you a place at His Father’s family table. Second, the truth of who you are to God – His beloved child, a warrior who need not fear because no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper.
However, for that to happen, you must hold your thought life together with the belt of truth. And remember, facts and truth are different. Facts are temporary. Truth is eternal and never changes.
It may be a fact that your spouse left you, but it’s the truth that God knows who you are and what you are worth. The nightly news gives you the facts, as does the doctor after a checkup. However, only the Holy Spirit gives you the truth.
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. – John 16:13

EVERLASTING
I placed the beacon of eternity in your heart. Because you were seeking Me, you found Me and your way home. You are made in My image to be eternal. I will be with you from everlasting to everlasting.
EVERLASTING
I love thinking of Jesus as a warrior king – the Lion of the Tribe of Judah jumping onto the battlefield to slay the enemy on my behalf.
Isaiah loved that picture of Jesus too, despite living in a generation before the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. I believe Isaiah got a good look at Jesus in heaven’s throne room and his prophesies prove that.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be upon his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. – Isaiah 9:6
This is all about majesty and kingship. In fact, in Isaiah 32:1, he calls Jesus a righteous King. Just to make sure we understand how strong and courageous the Lion of the tribe of Judah is, Isaiah gives us seven “everlastings” that come with the King and His amazing kingdom.
Everlasting strength (26:4)
Everlasting judgments (33:14)
Everlasting Joy (35:10)
Everlasting Salvation (45:17)
Everlasting Kindness (54:8)
Everlasting Covenant (55:3)
Everlasting Light (60:19)
When you let Jesus rule your life as King, this everlasting, never fading, never stopping, never diminishing love and power is yours, because you’re His. Come quickly Lord Jesus!

DO THE MATH!
I have so much more for you. Do you want it? Commit to upgrade – to a harvest in an area of your life that has kept you down. Declare you are plowing it up and watch Me multiply your efforts.
DO THE MATH!
While God’s word often falls by the wayside, in the rocks or in the thorny ground, Jesus says sometimes the Word of God falls on good ground. Sometimes, there’s something prepared there – the ground of your heart has been plowed up – and it works the way it’s suppose to.
That’s when a harvest happens.
Now, in the Parable of the Sower, Jesus starts off with three things to keep a harvest from happening. Ouch! But He follows that up with three degrees of a harvest – 30, 60 and 100-fold.
One-hundred fold means 100 percent – to it’s fullest potential. The seed became the thing Jesus meant in His heart for it to become.
Now, let’s just talk about the three different degrees of this. Remember I told you guys, the harvest doesn’t just happen.
The harvest is not guaranteed, yet the harvest is expected by God. It’s not God’s job to tell you there’s going to be a harvest. It’s your job to tell God, “I promise you Lord, there will be a harvest.”
Why are you responsible for the harvest in your life? Because Jesus cannot die any more than He already died. He can’t resurrect any more than He’s already resurrected. He cannot give you any more of His Spirit than He already has.
Jesus cannot speak any more Word into your life than He already has. That’s why it’s your job to tell God you will have a harvest in your finances, family, friendships and faith. When you do, He gets about the work of multiplication.
Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness… – 2 Corinthians 9:10
Do the math. Commit to a harvest right now, today!

“YES” AND “AMEN”
I never get tired of blessing you. I have so many promises waiting for you, piled up high, waiting for you to pick them up. They are yours to use, to keep and to give away. Just say, “Amen.”
“YES!” AND “AMEN!”
How far you go in the Promised Land is up to you. You can’t blame it on the sovereignty of God, because God’s sovereignty says, “Yes,” and it’s up to you to say, “Amen.”
So a land flowing with milk and honey is also symptomatic of a greater good. It has to do with fertility and reproduction. What does that mean? That means this: it’s nuclear powered.
It means the power does not tap out. It’s flowing. It’s not temporary power. It’s not seasonal power. It’s sustaining all-the-time power.
When you begin to live a Promised Land experience, you don’t just go through seasons of the power of God, you live in the power of God. You don’t just walk in the grace of God and then it fizzles out. No. You learn how to live with the grace of God and the power of God every single day.
I’m going to tell you this to about Promised Land living: it ain’t a one-trick pony. That means the power of God doesn’t show up in just one part of your life. The power of God can show up in multiple parts of your life, all at the same time.
A great example is Elijah and Elisha. Elijah is going along and he’s like, “I need a protegé. I need somebody who can take this to the next level when I take off in a chariot of fire.” He finds this brother – Elisha – who isn’t just plowing behind one ox, he’s behind 12 head of oxen. Elijah says, “That’s the guy.”
Why? Because the next level is not one thing. The next level is a whole bunch of things, all at the same time. It’s powerful and flowing, just like your Promised Land. Have you been there? Do you want to go? It’s up to you. King Jesus is saying, “Yes…”

DEFEATING THE DEVIL OF DEPRESSION
Your words are powerful. If you say them enough, you will start to believe them whether they are the truth or a lie. Listen to what you say. Speak truth – My truth. Who you I say you are?
DEFEATING THE DEVIL OF DEPRESSION
Depression is real, and the devil loves to exploit it. Though some of us are more prone to depression, every one of us has to make a stand against that mental malfunction.
The truth about the devil is this: he’s extremely evil, but that does not make him big or extremely powerful. If you fight him on his turf, he’ll eat you for lunch. So fight him on the turf Jesus gives you. It is there that you see the devil for the cosmic punk he is.
You see, the devil likes to work in darkness to bring doubt and depression into your life. In the dark, you can’t see how pathetic he really is. You envision him, and your problems, as horrible, un-defeatable and unending. You believe the lie that “things will never get better.”
However, shine the spotlight of truth on him and you have the same revelation as Isaiah:
Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: “Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble, the man who made the world a desert, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?” – Isaiah 14:16-17
The fact is, we give the devil a lot more credit than he deserves. If you’ve seen “Star Wars” you know what I’m talking about.
Remember how scary Darth Vader was? Evil with a capital “E.” Big, strong, ruthless, destructive. However, Luke Skywalker stood up to fear. He went on the offensive and defeated him. As Vader was gasping for his final breaths, Luke took off the menacing helmet and unmasked a scrawny, ugly, pathetic creature. Vader loomed large only because he played on the fear of others.
Satan is like that. He’s not a brilliant strategist or a brutal general. He is a schoolyard bully – a molester who preys on weak people, in their weakest areas, at the weakest time of their lives. That doesn’t have to be you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, roams the earth like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. –1 Peter 5:8
He can only devour you with darkness and doubt if you let him. It says in James 4:7 “Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” That’s the best advice for those dealing with depression. Resist it. Focus on God and all things good, and depression will flee.

OVERCOMING VICTORY
I have already won the victory. That means you’re already an overcomer mighty through Me in the pulling down of strongholds and casting down of evil imaginations. Take your Promised Land. Tear down the walls!
OVERCOMING VICTORY
Sometimes, you’re so worn out from fighting the wrong battles, you don’t have any strength or any skill sets to fight the right battle. In the Promised Land, God works all that out.
The battle you fight in the Promised Land is for advancement. It’s for upgrade. It’s for more and greater – the establishment of what you’ve always prayed for. It’s the “amen” to God’s “yes.”
“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” – 2 Corinthians 1:20
So, in short, the battles you face in the Promised Land are the challenges, threats, and the opposition to anything that has to do with your kingdom advancement.
There are three threats in the Promised Land that do not come against you in the wilderness. The thing that comes against you in the wilderness is starvation, thirst, and snakes.
Once you get out of the wilderness, the things that come against you are walled cities (mental strongholds), alliances with ungodly kings (operating in worldly systems), and giants (demonic intimidation). Boom!
While the opposition looks big, bad and downright formidable, you have all you need to tear down the walls, defeat the evil kings and cut off the heads of the giants threatening your upgrade. You start to fight, and brother Jesus – captain of the Lord’s armies – backs you up.
Remember, in the Promised Land, you fight from victory, not for it. If you’re fighting from victory, you’ve already won. Thanks to Jesus, you’re an overcomer.

ALL ABOARD
Persecution is not coming to this generation, it is already here. Because you are Mine, you will be persecuted the same way I was. You will be called a liar, drunkard and blasphemer. Do not fear! I am with you and I know the truth. You are free!
ALL BOARD!
As believers living in this day God has trusted us with, wehaveto be willing to stand where Jesus Himself stands.
Now, you need to understand this is the truth about the day and age you and I live in: You will be labeled the bad guy if you stand for truth.
You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. – Matthew 10:22
This statement, made over 2,000 years ago, is so true today. But wait! There’s more. Jesus says something absolutely amazing a few verses later.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.” – Matthew 10:24
Translate that as Jesus saying, “You’re no better than me and I’m persecuted, so you should expect to be persecuted too.”
Unfortunately, when it comes to persecution, we’ve turned our churches into “cruise ships” instead of “battleships.” As soon as we begin to feel anything uncomfortable, we assume Lord Jesus has left the boat. Here’s the truth: Jesus isn’t even on that boat.
Jesus is never on the cruise ship. Never. He’s the Captain of the Lord’s Armies and He’s a flat-out warrior. He’s on the battleship called the Church fighting a very real enemy for the souls of lost men and women. That’s where you and I are supposed to be too.
You see, you and I are the Church – the Bride of Christ – and we’re a warrior bride. When the going gets rough and the enemy deals us a financial blow, sickness, broken relationship or straight up persecution because we’re standing on the truth, we’re in the right place.
Who told you God wants you to be comfortable? Who told you that you are in the center of God’s will if everything is going right and you have no problems? Those are lies from the pit of hell designed to keep you on the sidelines.
Get in the fight! If Jesus was persecuted for telling the people of His generation the truth, so will you and I. It’s time toughen up and board this battleship!

PLANT YOUR FLAG
I am the Captain of the Lord’s armies and you were designed for battle – a warrior fashioned in My Own image. Take up your sword – the Word – and go after more territory. Push the enemy back into the hole he crawled out of. You are mighty!
PLANT YOUR FLAG
You guys know I’m all about upgrade, right? Upgrade is the kingdom part of me that says, “I don’t have to live in a wilderness experience where everything is exactly the same for forty years, because I’ve learned to depend on God. Now I can go into the place where everything is about partnership and advancement.”
Partnership and advancement. That is what Promised Land living is all about.
When it comes to partnership, it’s all about living life with Jesus. Jesus is Immanuel – “God with us.” Now that’s the perfect picture of partnership.
Living life with Jesus is what living in the Promised Land is all about. And can I just tell you something about Jesus living with you? He doesn’t hate your humanity. He likes the human side of you.
He likes the side of you that drives other people crazy. He created us as human beings, but here’s the deal: we are new creatures in Him.
It’s not just about you being human or even you being godly. It’s about you being a godly human now. That’s what Jesus is, amen. He is with you right now, partnering with you for Kingdom advancement.
Advance into what, you ask? Better things! Ministries, mission trips, fearlessness to testify to strangers, more territory to influence others, prophetic gifts, financial prosperity to sow back into the Kingdom work that floats your boat. All of these things are better!
Are you looking for better? Do you want to advance into a fighting machine that takes on hell with a water pistol and wins? The devil should get up every morning and groan when he hears your voice, “Oh, no! They’re talking about Jesus again…”
Jesus wants to partner with you in that place. It makes Him smile when He hears the enemy crying like a baby because you are advancing through his territory. Plant your flag and tell that cosmic punk to get lost in Jesus’ name!
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. – Luke 10:19

RIGHT NOW!
I love it when you seek My presence. I enjoy your company and delight in your pursuit of My word. I am with you wherever you go. Be filled with My Spirit.
RIGHT NOW
When Jesus showed up after His resurrection, He said something startling: “It is a greater benefit to you that I leave.”
Can you imagine what a crazy thing that was to say? The disciples had to be thinking, “How could I possibly be better off if Jesus Christ left me physically?” That’s what I would be thinking.
He said, “Because I will send my Holy Spirit.” And that’s not going to be a “long time ago” thing or a “long time in the future” thing. That’s going to be a “right now” thing.
It is important that you walk in the power of God and have victory in your life, right now.
If you don’t believe Jesus Christ can show up in your life today and change things, you’re going to get caught on a bad day and you’re going to fall out.
King David understood that. That’s why he said this:
“I would have fainted (lost heart, would have given up) unless I had believed that I would live to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. – Psalm 27:13
How did David get through all those difficult times? He lived in a constant awareness that God was with him, right now. David couldn’t make Him do anything, but he was aware that God was good – right now – and that His goodness would show up.
While David was visited by the Holy Spirit, you and I are indwelled by Him – right now, this very second. It’s hard to imagine something better than hanging out with Jesus – God with us – but there is. We are in His constant presence as God in us, right now.
