THE WILDERNESS KILLS
Before you knew me, I pursued you. Looking under every rock. I chased you down and you willingly surrendered your life to Me. Search for Me as you did in earlier times. I’m still right here.
THE WILDERNESS KILLS
When we find Moses in Exodus chapter 3, he’s a totally different man than 40 years earlier. He’s been living among the goat farmers in Midian. To Moses, civilization meant there’s infrastructure and rivers with pretty green stuff all around. There was always stuff being built.
That was before Midian. They don’t build much in Midian. They live in caves and tents. There are no rivers, and nothing is green. Everything he had ever known – that made sense to him – was gone once he sat down at the well.
Moses is in a new world. He’s hooked up with a brother by the name of Jethro – a rich ruler – and married into his family. There was a day when Moses had hope for his life, but not now. He was just living to get through the day for his second 40 years on earth.
“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.” – Exodus 3:1
Now, I’m going to show you something you may have never considered. The Bible says Egyptians hate shepherds worse than anything. A goat farmer is the lowest of society.
“…for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.” – Genesis 46:34
Moses became the thing he hated most. Sometimes as human beings, we have a major malfunction and we don’t deal with it very well. We make one bad choice after another. We wake up one day and we’ve become the thing we always hated – only Moses had been there 40 years.
Is that you? Feel like a huge malfunction and don’t know how you got there? Don’t stay in that Wilderness with the goats. The territory may be familiar, but the Wilderness kills. It kills dreams, promise and your destiny.
Learn to depend on God and go after your Promised Land. It’s one encounter away.

BETTER THINGS TO DO
I Am a God with great objectives. I have called you to partner with Me to achieve them. There will be days you will have to multi-task, but never lose sight of the harvest. Don’t allow the enemy to distract you from your purpose.
BETTER THINGS TO DO
Life is chock full of crisis situations and distractions. If you’re out burning other people’s fields, you’re not minding your own field. You can’t twist off and cause collateral damage because there’s a crisis. I see this happen in churches all the time.
Something bad will happen and they stop everything and address the crisis. They have no clue about crisis management.
I’ll tell you how to do crisis management. You do not stop what you’re doing for the meanest and most disruptive people among you. So, you always do crisis management in light of the harvest and in light of your steps toward the harvest.
“The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord. – Psalm 37:23
If you let the mean, disruptive people in your life dictate your steps, you will always be stepping in the wrong places.
The Bible says in Nehemiah 6 that when Nehemiah was on the wall, people who were not committed to building the wall were actually committed to the destruction of it. They would come to him and say, “Why don’t you come down and debate this? Why don’t you come down and debate that? Why don’t you do this?” Here’s what that genius said:
“I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?” – Nehemiah 6:3
There’s great wisdom in this.
I’m a hard working guy and my team is a hard-working group of people. People who cannot work hard cannot last with me. They just can’t keep up. I could spend a lot of time addressing nay-sayers, but that’s not our strategy toward the harvest.
Don’t give the devil two inches by letting him distract you from your strategy. He will have you running down rabbit holes instead of what God has for you to do. Focus on finding the lost and bringing them home, and let the wicked foam. You’ve got better things to do.

COMMITTED TO A CROP
I will never leave you nor turn My back on you. In the same way, don’t turn your back on others.
COMMITTED TO A CROP
When it comes to the harvest, you must stay committed. You will not fall out or lose focus. God expects a crop of believers pulled from hell’s thresher.
If you signed up to teach Sunday School, don’t think of ways to get out of it because it’s time consuming. Mentoring a new believer? Don’t give up because schedules or personalities clash. Find a way! Serve. Love. Testify. It’s what we do and we don’t give up when things get inconvenient or uncomfortable.
Just as important as being committed, you need to stay in your own plot of land that God Almighty has given you, whether it’s one acre or 100,000 acres. Do not look at your brother’s plot and say, “He’s more fruitful than me. I want a crop just like that.”
“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land which I give to you , and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest.”
– Leviticus 23:10
Get your eyes off someone else’s ministry. The ministry God gave you is uniquely tailored for your strengths, talents, time and placement. You stay committed to it. Have lots and lots of Kingdom wins and give your High Priest the biggest harvest of souls you can.
There are days when things happen. There are days you don’t feel good, but you can’t run off. The enemy doesn’t like you sowing seeds and he really hates you pouring water on your fields because it puts out his flames. He doesn’t want Jesus to get a harvest. He will oppose you.
Defy the devil! Stay committed until there is a harvest. It really is that simple.

YOUR INNER CRAZY HORSE
There is a very real enemy to defeat in your life. The only way to destroy this giant is to partner with Me – the Three In One. Together, we are unstoppable, you and I. There is power in unity with Me. Be strong and courageous.
YOUR INNER CRAZY HORSE
You don’t have to agree with everything another Christian does to be unified with them. You just have to be not against that person. We lose when we are divided. Israel fought amongst its tribes and it was brutal. It was not God. Instead of advancing, the tribes of Israel fought amongst themselves.
The Native Americans were here for at least 4,000 years before any Europeans showed up, and when they did, they couldn’t believe that people on this side of the world were still in the “Stone Age.”
There were no technological, societal or scientific advances here. It wasn’t because they were stupid or bad. They weren’t. But because every tribe fought against every tribe for 4,000 years, they never advanced. When an enemy showed up that was unified, the American Indians were defeated over and over again.
The body of Christ can learn a lesson from the Native Americans.
There is one time that they won. It was June 1876 at Little Bighorn. The 7th Calvary, led by the arrogant George Armstrong Custer – the name “Armstrong” speaks of his own pride, died a prophetic death in a place that represents the antichrist – “Little Bighorn.” Custer came in the name of the Lord, but represented His name in vain.
Do you know why Custer lost? Because a brother by the name of Crazy Horse was able to, for one battle, get multiple tribes to stop fighting each other and start fighting the enemy. They actually won – one time.
Just like that, Lord, help the church because we need unity. We need to stop competing and put an end to the family feud. We do not have the same territory or the same methods. But we do have the same King. That is enough.
We are the house of God and a house divided against itself cannot stand. It’s not that God doesn’t love a good fight, because He does. He just hates competition between His tribes. It only leads to defeat.
How good and pleasant it is when people live together in unity. – Psalms 133:1

A GLIMPSE OF GLORY AND GOODNESS
I love it when you ask for My advice, guidance and provision. I Am so glad that you trust and obey, so continue! Your obedient heart makes Me smile and draws others to My goodness. I Am so proud of you.
A GLIMPSE OF GLORY AND GOODNESS
I love it in the Bible where God tells Moses He will grant him one of the desires of his heart with the words “I will do what you ask.” Before you go thinking God is our genie in a bottle to control, let me tell you He most certainly is not. He does, however, reserve the right to reward us, and God was pleased with Moses.
What charges me up isn’t that God made the offer, but that Moses had experienced enough of God’s goodness, spent so much time talking to him as a friend, that he requested something so outrageously cool, it still blows us away today:
“Show me Your glory.” – Exodus 33:18
I don’t know that I would have thought of that, but Moses did. He had glimpsed something in God’s character that he knew he had to have more of – God’s goodness! His Glory!
I believe glory is when your right relationship with God becomes manifest in your life – real and tangible. Moses so wanted to go from glory to glory. Like him, if you and I go after God’s glory, we’ll move from deep to deeper places in His presence.
That’s why the Bible says in Psalms 42:7 that “Deep calls unto deep…” God takes us into the extraordinary and gives us a glimpse of eternity with Him.

Want to join me in going after God’s glory? The fringe benefits of a deeper and everlasting relationship are yours for the asking – so ask!
Today is a good day to pursue the glory of God. Like Moses, come before your King and ask for a glimpse of His ultimate goodness. You will never be the same!

TRUST HIM FOR A HARVEST
I am Yahweh. I have never changed and I never will. Place your trust in Me. I will be with you until the end of time. You may not see the big picture, but I do. Partner with Me, for My ways are higher than your ways.
TRUST HIM FOR A HARVEST
The harvest is the fulfillment of God’s heart toward us. We need to see what God wants done in our lives. We can’t leave it up to the world, our financial status, friends or someone’s opinion. No matter, what we’re going to partner with God to see a harvest.
“But Pastor Troy, the Bible says if God wants it, done it’ll get done.” To this lie from the pit of religious control, I say that is baloney! That is what the Pharisees say. Jesus does not say that. He says,
When you pray, pray like this, Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. – Luke 11:2
God doesn’t get His way on this earth. If He did, we would all love and worship Him. Remember, He says in 1 Corinthians 13 that love…does not demand its own way. God is a gentleman. He may want you to believe in His Son and follow Him, but He’s never going to force you to love Jesus.
I want Jesus to have His heart done in my life the way it is in heaven. To do that, I have to partner with God in diverse ways to see His will done in me. God’s will is sovereign, but our free will is not. He allows us to partner with Him for Kingdom outcomes because He is good and He loves us.
The harvest doesn’t just happen. It is not guaranteed, yet it is expected by God. You’re supposed to guarantee the harvest. It’s not God’s job, it’s yours. Here’s how you do that: repeat after me, “I will not bail. You can trust me to steward this thing. I’m going to see it happen. I’m going to do everything I can to partner with You.
I’m going to remove weeds, I will not sow among thorns. I will break up the fallow ground and sow good seed. I will run the devil out of this battlefield in the name of Jesus Christ and I’m turning this into a vineyard. God, I’m guaranteeing You a harvest out of this.”
Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the world. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) – Ephesians 5:7-9
This is a clear warning not to partner with sons of disobedience. The word warns us repeatedly to watch out for who we partner with because bad company will keep you from your harvest. Partner with God. You can trust Him for a harvest.

YOUR OWN GREEN THUMB
As a joint heir with Jesus, you have been given a territory in My Kingdom. It is your responsibility to steward it by preparing the fields, sowing and tending the crop – lost souls. I cannot harvest what you have not prepared. Receive your inheritance.
YOUR OWN GREEN THUMB
Here’s an interesting thought for you to chew on: In the Promised Land, you mind your own business. I like to call that the W.I.T.T.Y. principle, which stands for “What Is That To You?”
You don’t look over into my territory and go, “Oh, I need what Troy has,” because all that stuff that looks so good – those blessings – also have problems and challenges that go with them. Those things are what I can handle. I have the skills and anointing to prosper there. You don’t.
Let me tell you something very important to reaching your destiny: God has something better for you than I could ever give you. It’s a better blessing because it is uniquely yours. God created you and you only to inhabit this territory.
When you’re minding your business and working in your territory, and I’ve got my hand to the plow and my blinders on in mine, we call that being in “alignment for assignment.”
In the Promised Land you don’t wander around into other people’s assignments. Man, you find out what your assignment is and where your borders are. You seek out your territory and gettotally dedicated to kingdom advancement in those things and that place.
Your territory can only be conquered by you. I will fail miserably if I wander into your ground and start hoeing and planting. If I’m in your land, I’m trespassing! Put up that “DANGER – Keep Out” sign and guard your territory as the precious possession it is.
And don’t look into my field or anybody else’s. Although it might look like the plants are bigger and greener, it’s a crop only I have the grace and anointing to steward. Only you can steward the territory God gave you. You have your own green thumb. Use it.
Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” – Luke 9:62

UNALIENABLE RIGHTS
I have put you where you are for such a time as this. There is no better time for you to be born onto the planet. I saved the best of your bloodline for last, so go! Make an impact for My Kingdom.
UNALIENABLE RIGHTS
The second sentence of the Declaration of Independence reads is so very Kingdom. Check this out:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” This is truth and ‘on target’ with the kingdom.
“Unalienable rights” means they exist not because a government decree, but because they originated with God and the government needs to line up with God. God doesn’t need to line up with the government like the socialist agenda tells us.
Our founders were in agreement with the apostle Paul whenever he wrote:
“Now the Lord is that Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty” – 2 Corinthians 2:17
Muslims do not believe this. You can talk about how the muslim religion is perfect for America all you want. There’s not a practicing muslim in the world who believes God gave us unalienable rights to life or liberty.
There’s not an atheist in the world who believes that. The liberal school teachers and college professors of our generation do not believe this. The racists among us do not believe this. So who does believe this?
The Christians in America are the only ones in this nation who believe in what America is all about – liberty. If the Christians are silent in America, there is no America.
You say, “Oh no, Pastor Troy. The atheists will take care of us because they believe we’re all important and they believe in personal freedom.” No they don’t! Here’s what they believe: “I’m gonna get mine because I’m the only one who matters. It’s survival of the fittest and I will survive.”
What people group is going to stand for freedom? Who will stand up for the poor, the old, the outcast, the unborn, the addicted, or disabled if the body of Christ does not stand for those things? The only people who believe in what America believes are people who believe in what Jesus believes.
Do you see it? The Truth is a person. It is Jesus Christ. He is the self-evident Truth in our Declaration of Independence. Pray for unity in the American Church. Pray for revival and a boldness to stand up for Truth. Stand up for Jesus!
