The contents shock Adam right to the core. Could Sheree really have seduced their uncle while he and their aunt were on the outs? Adam can’t help feeling betrayed. And Uncle Brian’s not the only family member who’s been in his sister’s bed…Get it from eXcessica EDEN: http://excessica.com/eden/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=30&products_id=236

Speaking of Censorship, it's Adam and Sheree's Family Christmas!
I can count on one hand the number of retailers that'll actually carry my Adam and Sheree books. These brother/sister erotic novellas are too hot for Amazon, All Romance Ebooks, BookStrand, Kobo... the list goes on.Pretty much every ebook seller is opposed to fictional adult characters having fictional adult sex with members of their fictional adult families. In fiction.
But if you like taboo erotica, they're worth tracking down. Adam and Sheree's Family Vacation has been a hot seller since its release this summer. Adam and Sheree's Family Business hasn't had quite the same impact, but third time's a charm: Adam and Sheree's Family Christmas is available now and it's the nastiest, horniest, most unrepentantly incestuous book of the lot.
Spend the holidays with the filthiest Adam and Sheree story ever written!
When Adam and Sheree head home for the holidays, it goes without saying that this brother and sister pair won’t be telling their parents they’ve been at it like bunnies.
As if it wasn’t hard enough to keep his hands off Sheree for an entire week, Adam stumbles upon his sister’s old diary. He knows it’s private, but he can’t resist fingering the pages. The contents shock Adam right to the core. Could Sheree really have seduced their uncle while he and their aunt were on the outs?
Adam can’t help feeling betrayed. He thought he was his sister’s first target of incestuous love, but apparently their uncle got there first. And Uncle Brian’s not the only family member who’s been in his sister’s bed…
WARNING: This book is packed with peep shows, naughty diary entries, insatiable appetites, family threesomes, and taboo encounters between consenting adults.
Word Count: 35,000
EXCERPT:
Adam’s eyes rolled back in his head. He pressed his legs to the back bumper while she teased his prick. “I don’t want to get caught.”
“And you think I do?” She worked his dick a little faster. “God, your cock is hard.”
“Your fist is… tight.”
She clamped down, rubbing his erection inside his pants. Over the pounding in his ears, he could just make out the sounds of shuffling jeans and skin on skin. Sheree drove out the cold with her hot tits and her warm breath. Even her fingers didn’t feel so cool anymore.
“You gonna come for me?” she asked.
“In my pants?” Adam squeaked. Wouldn’t be the first time, but filling his underwear with cum was never his first choice.
Suddenly another hand found his balls, and it was so damn cold he shrieked.
“Shut up, dingus!” Sheree smacked him in the nuts with her freezing fingers. “You want Mom and Dad to come looking for us?”
“No,” he said. He stomach twisted at the thought. “No, just… cold!”
“So come, then.” Her hand weaseled its way up his throbbing shaft, teasing his tip, making him shake. “Come in my hand.”
“Yes,” he said in a whisper. He couldn’t manage much more than that.
She pushed her tits against his back, begging with her body. He could picture it now: whipping his sister around, bending her into the open trunk, and pushing her down until her boobs met the duffle bag he’d packed. He wouldn’t be able to wait. His fingers wouldn’t bother fiddling with her belt, her buttons, her zipper. He’d tear open the seam of her pants, whip out his cock, and shove it in her wet snatch.
“Holy fuck!” Adam groaned as the image of entering his sister from behind put him over the top.
He could practically feel the familiar hug of her pussy as her hand closed around his dick. Her cold palm swaddled his tip as it spewed hot cream. She shrieked, like it hurt, and maybe it did. Maybe her skin was cold enough that his heat felt blazing.
“Oh god.” Leaning into his duffel bag, Adam struggled to hold himself upright. “Did that really just happen?”
“You tell me.” Sheree pulled her hand from his pants and showed him the pool of cum resting in her palm. It was so hot there was actually steam rising from it.
Adam’s groin ached in a strange way. Though Sheree had relieved his temporary tension, she’d also opened a door that should have remained closed. Now he wanted more. So much more.

Kobo's Response
In case you're new to Donuts and Desires, here's the score:
Over the past month or two, I've blogged a few times about the fact that Kobo has been declining (ie. refusing to publish) ebooks in my Transgender and Genderqueer Erotic Romance series--five to date, including the re-release of My Mistress' Thighs: Erotic Transgender Fiction and Poetry.
Many of you have expressed your outrage at the perceived censorship of transgender fiction. You advised me to write to Mark Lefebvre, Kobo's director of self-publishing and author relations.
I didn't.
He wrote to me.
Rather than paraphrase his response, I'm sharing his communication, with permission:
I'm not going to editorialize. I'm not. Except that I'm reminded of Wednesday's little censorship experiment. Particularly the paragraph where I compare the metadata from my trans series to my Paranormal Erotic Shorts series. Because I also concluded it was the metadata and not the content that was getting my work "declined."
Here it is, in case you missed it: http://donutsdesires.blogspot.ca/2013/12/a-censorship-experiment-youll-find-this.html
Thanks for your encouragement and support, everyone.

I noticed your recent blog post (below) regarding having titles rejected at Kobo and wanted to clear up some confusion.
http://donutsdesires.blogspot.ca/2013/12/kobo-declines-another-transgender-title.html
When we have to reject titles for publication, we denote a reason. So, if you go into your account and click on the the title in question it will take you to the PUBLISHING screen and you’ll see a reason for the rejection.
In the case of several of your titles you should see something along the lines of the following reason (ie, there was an issue with the sub-title field)
The sub-title field is meant to be used for the actual subtitle of a book and not for what appears to be “tag lines” or the type of info that one might enter into the synopsis field (ie, potentially text that might appear at the top on the back cover of a print book.
All you need to do is modify the subtitle (ie, remove the “tag lines”) and republish, and the books should flow through the system.
I wanted to ensure you that the rejection has nothing to do with the topic matter and everything to do with the metadata.
Due to the manner by which this can be misunderstood, my team is in the process of revising the process in such a way that we can be more clear on what needs to be fixed whenever we have to reject a book.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
Mark

A Censorship Experiment... (you'll find this VERY interesting)
Yesterday, I reported that the ebook retailer Kobo had declined yet another transgender erotic romance. This time it was my anthology My Mistress' Thighs: Erotic Transgender Fiction and Poetry. Kobo never gives me a reason for declining my work (they don't even send me an email to inform me the way Amazon does), but it's hard not to notice that every one of the five ebooks Kobo has declined included "transgender" in the metadata.
So I decided to try a little experiment. Last night I happened to be uploading a short story called Glitter in the Gutter. You might remember it from Rachel Kramer Bussel's anthology "Twice the Pleasure." It's quite a beautiful little story about Connor and Dotschy, whom you may recall from "Spring Fever."
In Glitter in the Gutter, Connor finds himself in a dark place. He's having a crisis of conscience about cross-dressing, and the only way he can get over it is to toss all his girl-clothes into garbage bags and get them out of the house. I think this should ring a few bells for many gender non-normative individuals.
Now for the "experimental" part:
Glitter in the Gutter belongs to a series called Transgender and Genderqueer Erotic Romance. Kobo has already mysteriously "declined" five of the ebooks in this series. So when I uploaded Glitter in the Gutter, instead of filling in the series slot with Transgender and Genderqueer Erotic Romance... I left it blank. The metadata is basically just populated by the title and the following blurb:
Dotschy didn’t mean to fall in love with her cross-dressing co-worker Connor. Now she’s in way over her head. When Connor stops returning her phone calls and tells their boss Dotschy's a bad influence, she’s baffled. She thought they had something really special. Dotschy forces her way into Connor's house only to find that he's getting rid of all his girl clothes and purging his life of feminine presence. When Dotschy discovers the source of Connor's shame, can she convince him not to discard the clothes he loves so much?
This love story contains explicit romance, heartfelt moments, and a hint of dumpster diving. Originally published in the anthology “Twice the Pleasure.”
And, lo and behold: http://store.kobobooks.com/en-CA/ebook/glitter-in-the-gutter
Glitter in the Gutter is available from Kobo.
I think you get my drift, but if I need to be blatant about it, here's what I'm saying:
Kobo censored FIVE ebooks when I included the keywords "Transgender" and "Erotic Romance" in the metadata. When I uploaded a similar story from the same series, but DID NOT include "Transgender" and "Erotic Romance" in the metadata, it was made available for sale with no issues.
Well, maybe Kobo's just censoring anything with "erotic" in the metadata, right? After all, they did overreact hugely in recent memory, and all because of us evil erotica authors.
Okay... but take, for example, my ebook Milady's Bath. That's available through Kobo with the subtitle "Gothic Lesbian Dark Erotica" as a part of the series "Paranormal Erotic Shorts." So that book's got "Erotica" AND "Erotic" in the metadata, as do many of my 20+ ebooks available through Kobo.It seems to be the combination of "Erotic" and "Transgender" that gets my ebooks censored.
Do I need to explain why that's so wretchedly offensive?
I don't think I do.
Hugs,
Giselle

Kobo "Declines" ANOTHER Transgender Title: My Mistress' Thighs by Giselle Renarde
The first four times this happened, I was willing to call it a curiosity. Now that the infamous ebook retailer Kobo has decline five (count 'em--FIVE!) of my transgender romance titles, I can't consider it a coincidence.I really don't think this IS a coincidence. I think Kobo is censoring transgender romance.
Most recently, I uploaded one of my prestige pieces--My Mistress' Thighs in its 2nd edition, Honourable Mention in the 2011 Rainbow Awards--and when I signed into my Kobo account just now, hey, guess what? It's NOT available for sale through Kobo. The book and its related metadata have disappeared behind a button called "Declined."
As I mentioned, FIVE of my titles (out of nearly 30 that I've uploaded to Kobo) have been "declined" (censored, restricted, banned, deemed unfit for sale--call it what you like).
Every one of those FIVE titles was an erotic romance ebook with the word "transgender" in the metadata.
Last time I blogged about Kobo censoring transgender romances, I disclosed that some of the transgender titles that have been "declined" contain very little erotic content. Most are love stories that involve transgender issues. Take Eclipse the Stars as an example: it's about a couple dealing with jealousy and other issues within the context of a long-term trans lesbian relationship. And Kobo banned it.
Why?
I have no fricken' clue. I'm just the author. I'm out of the loop.
I'm kind of shaking with anger right now, to be honest. Kobo is obviously equating "transgender" with "filth" and, hey, you know me--I DO write filth... but My Mistress' Thighs ain't it. My Mistress' Thighs is classy-ass fiction involving sex, love, and trans people. The subtitle is "Erotic Transgender Fiction and Poetry." Yes, that's right. Poetry. Sonnets, to be exact.
My Mistress' Thighs has been well-reviewed, and the first time it was available in print I got lovely thank you letters from people who identify as trans and recognized themselves in my characters. The book's got sex in it, yeah. And you know what else? It's GOOD FICTION. It's made a mark on people's lives. I know because they've told me so.
But Kobo thinks it's inappropriate because it's about transgender characters.
I'll leave it at that.
For now.
Hugs,
Giselle
My Mistress' Thighs is available from a number of retailers, including Amazon (I never thought I'd live in a world where Kobo restricts more content than Amazon!).Ebook: http://www.amazon.com/My-Mistress-Thighs-Giselle-Renarde-ebook/dp/B00H0O73CW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1386136649&sr=8-2&keywords=my+mistress%27+thighs

Guess What Else Came Back? My Mistress' Thighs!
Yesterday I told you my award-winning trans lesbian Christmas novel The Red Satin Collection is back in print. Today another fan favourite is back on the market. If you missed it the first time around (when it was published by loveyoudivine Alterotica), you can grab a copy of My Mistress' Thighs NOW in paperback or as an ebook!(As an aside, I asked my girlfriend to proof the manuscript for me and she was like, "You know the title is grammatically incorrect, right?" Uhhh... it is? Talk about embarrassing! My Mistress' Thighs is previously published. It was awarded an honourable mention in the 2011 Rainbow Awards. And all this time it should have been My Mistress's Thighs, not My Mistress' Thighs? I suck! But when I re-published it I decided to keep it wrong to commemorate... well, I don't know what. Just for fun.)
My Mistress’ Thighs: Erotic Transgender Fiction and Poetry
Rainbow Awards Honourable Mention

Excerpt:
“The trick,” Patrick told me, “is to find someone who complements you.”
My throat produced a familiar noise, something like a giggle that only comes about when you’re trying not to cry. “Yes, you really don’t compliment me often enough. I’ll feel much better if you tell me I’m pretty.”
“Of course you’re pretty, but that’s not what I’m talking about.” The off-handed compliment made my heart soar. “What I mean is that if you look for someone who’s identical to you, there are too many sames.” To illustrate his point, he withdrew his fingers from mine, only to press his fingertips against my fingertips so they exerted some pressure. “When someone’s the same as you, all the sticky-outy parts meet up and you deflect each other. You see what I’m saying?”
“Yes.” It suddenly occurred to me that this might be a break-up conversation, which I don’t think I could have handled on a first date.
“But when you meet a person who complements you—and I don’t mean this in a sexual sense—all the sticky-outy parts on you correspond to all the curvy-inny parts on them.” Patrick brushed his fingertips down a touch until his were between mine. Our fingers no longer deflected one another. Now, they snuggled in, fingers woven between fingers, until we were holding hands again. “You see? When people complement each other, they fit together so easily.”
Was he talking about us? I didn’t want to ask, but it was too early on. Instead, I sat perfectly still, gazing at our interwoven fingers as though they might open to reveal a crystal ball. Was that my future cradled in the sweating palms of our hands? I had my doubts, but I could so easily be swayed.

The Red Satin Collection is Back in Print!
Winner of the 2012 Rainbow AwardsBEST TRANSGENDER ROMANCE
Coming home means coming out...
This is a Christmas of firsts for girlfriends Maisie and Regan. Maisie hasn't returned to their hometown since beginning her transition from male to female. Regan hasn't spoken to her hard-drinking Cree father in twice that time. Will family drama, secrets, and new arrivals strengthen their bond or tear Regan and Maisie apart?
The Red Satin Collection is a transgender lesbian holiday romance that includes content suitable for adult readers only.
As you may recall, The Red Satin Collection was originally published by the now-defunct (but always occupying a special place in my heart) loveyoudivine Alterotica. It was written in three parts over three years. Basically, it was three progressively longer short stories. The problem was that those stories always wanted to be a novel. So, for this second edition, I've novelized it so it can be read straight through, and published it as an ebook AND in print.
Order yourself a copy today!
Or read an excerpt first, if you like:
"Is mom home?" Maisie asked, before taking a step forward.
"Oh yeah, for sure." After another moment of silent, awe-struck staring, Mitts turned her head and yelled, "Mom!"
"What?" a disembodied voice hollered back. "I'm on the toilet."
Mitts turned back to Maisie. "Mom's on the throne."
"So I heard."
Another voice joined the conversation. "Oh my god, Mitts, do not walk by the upstairs bathroom!" It was Maisie's second sister, Kayla, holding her nose as she descended the stairs. "Jesus, the whole hallway reeks to..."
As she spoke, Kayla's gaze settled on the open front door.
The fingers pinching her nose slid down until her hand covered her embarrassed mouth. "Oops... sorry. I didn't hear the doorbell."
"Kayla, it's Mark," Mitts said, then whipped her head around. "Shit, I'm sorry. You don't go by Mark anymore. Do you? Well, obviously you don't. Duh. That was a stupid question. I'm sorry."
"It's okay," Maisie said, though Regan could hear the disappointment in her girlfriend's voice. "You don't need to apologize. I understand."
Mitts shook her head. "No, I'm an idiot. And I can't for the life of me remember your new name."
"It's Maisie." One more voice rang out from behind Kayla. "Maisie, like my mother, your grandmother. It's a beautiful name. It's perfect."
When Maisie looked up, Regan could feel the happiness coursing through her body. "Mom!"
As Maisie bolted through the front door, her mother ran down the stairs. They met in the hallway and dove into each other's arms. Though Maisie was taller than her mother, something about the nature of their hug dwarfed her, in Regan's eyes, and she appeared as a little child.
"Mom..."

The Queer Romance Blog Hop Visits Giselle!
Welcome to the Queer Romance Blog Hop, where queer writers and readers of queer romance share their thoughts on the genre, as well as a few recommendations for books to read! Everyone participating in this blog hop identifies as queer and also reads and/or writes (or edits, or reviews!) queer romance. For our purposes, queer romance refers to books with:
1. LGBTQ+ maincharacters 2. In romantic relationships3. That have a happyending. (No Brokeback Mountain here, folks!)1. Let’s start off with the getting-to-know-you stuff: How do you identify, and what does that mean to you? Whatever level of detail you’re comfortable with, of course!
Giselle Renarde: I'm queer, kind of genderfucked--at least internally (every male stereotype applies to me). My primary attraction is to women, but I'm a never-say-never type.2. What’s your preferred “flavour” of queer romance (e.g. trans*, f/f, m/m, menage with queer characters, etc.) Why?
Giselle Renarde: Trans lesbian romance particularly appeals to me, since I happen to be in a relationship with a trans woman, but I have this funny way of assuming that every book I pick up is going to have queer content. Specifically, I assume there will be lesbians in everything I read. That's probably an offshoot of my queer-brained thinking that every person I meet is LGBT.
3. Do you write/read/review? Do you think being queer affects your participation or platform in romancelandia?
Giselle Renarde: I know I'm never supposed to admit this (considering I write the stuff), but I've never read a romance novel in my entire life. The only reason I started tacking happy endings onto my erotic manuscripts was that editors told me I had to. I have this Egoyanesque love of all things fucked up. I'd rather see everybody die in misery at the end of the book, but I can write for readers whose tastes differ from my own.
4. What drew you to queer romance?
Giselle Renarde: I arrived at romance via erotica, but the queer aspect... well, I couldn't NOT write queer fiction if I tried. And I did, because another thing those early-days editors told me was to stop writing all these quirky stories about lesbians and bisexual women. "Nobody buys that stuff. There's no point writing it."
Well, I wrote it anyway. Some of my best work is "that stuff" people told me not to write.
5. What do you love about queer romance in general, and/or your specific subgenre?Giselle Renarde: When I was a kid, I always felt left out watching Disney movies. Even at four years old I knew that kind of romance wasn't inclusive. I knew it wasn't MY story. Realistically, I'm not a romantic, but I always wanted to see representations of queer love.
6. What’s your pet peeve?
Giselle Renarde: I don't know if I'd call it a pet peeve, but selling lesbian romance is ridiculously hard--especially if one or more of those women is trans. In the romance field, it seems like only a very slim variety sells (meaning M/M--actually there's a pet peeve: I feel like the terms f/f and m/m place gay and lesbian identity under erasure or at least co-opt those identities. But anyway...). I can almost understand why editors told me not to "bother" writing lesbian fiction. Just the other day I got an email from an LGBT review site letting me know that their reviewers weren't interested in reading Friday Night Lipstick, which happens to be the most romantic story I've ever written (I cry every time I read it). It's also a lesbian romance in which both women are transgender and 50+ in age. Try getting anyone to buy that. Please! 7. What growth would you like to see in the genre, going forward? Any ideas on how to accomplish that?
Giselle Renarde: I'm not sure how to answer that, since I write queer romance but I don't actually read it. I just don't know what's out there. But I guess editors telling authors not to bother writing queer women doesn't help.
8. Do you seek out other queer authors when you read?
Giselle Renarde: I probably am more inclined to read more of an author's books if I know the writer is queer, but it's not something I've ever really thought about.
9. How do you feel, in general, about straight peoples’ participation in reading, writing, and reviewing queer romance?
Giselle Renarde: If straight people bought my books, then I'd be all, "Yay, somebody bought my books! Now I don't have to eat porridge for every meal." So... yeah. Buy my books, whoever you are.
10. Rec us 3 titles in your chosen subgenre and tell us why you love them.
Giselle Renarde: I won't be a dick and recommend my own books (though, honestly, I'm tempted) but because I don't read romance my recs will have to be in the genre I do read, which is lit fic. The Canadian-er, the better:
1. The Way the Crow Flies by Ann-Marie MacDonald (Queer Canadian author/lesbian MC as far as I recall)2. The Well of Loneliness by Radclyffe Hall (called the first lesbian novel--a must-read)...and because my brain isn't retrieving any more fiction right now, #3 is non-fiction:3. Opening Up by Tristan Taormino (A guide to creating and sustaining opening relationships)
And because I had the self-restraint to not recommend my own books, my reward is allowing myself to tell you my award-winning trans lesbian Christmas novel The Red Satin Collection is back on the market, as an ebook and now in print! Thanks for reading and for following the tour!
