Basically, I Got Tired of Waiting (also, paranormal erotic shorts are finally available at Amazon)
I hadn't anticipated setting up an Amazon self-publishing account. My plan was to let Smashwords work its distribution magic, but I uploaded my paranormal erotic romance series at the end of September and, as of two days ago, they still hadn't been "shipped" to Amazon. So, basically, I got tired of waiting.
But the good news is that all my Paranormal Erotic Shorts ebooks are now available from Amazon.
Here they are:To Dream of Her True Love's Face (Paranormal Erotic Shorts)

The Mesmerist and the Mare (Paranormal Erotic Shorts)

Beneath the Ice (Paranormal Erotic Shorts)

Princess of the Ravens (Paranormal Erotic Shorts)

Jungfrau (Paranormal Erotic Shorts)

Milady's Bath (Paranormal Erotic Shorts)
Neither Love Nor Money (Paranormal Erotic Shorts)

Sneak (Paranormal Erotic Shorts)

I think that's about it.
Enjoy!

Secrets and Guys
You may remember "Secrets and Guys" as "Expanded Definitions." It's previously published by lyd and also appeared in my anthology "My Mistress' Thighs" but I decided "Expanded Definitions" wasn't the most intriguing title, so I changed it.
Most of the stories in my "Transgender and Genderqueer Erotic Romance" series feature trans women. This is one of the few that's about a trans guy. I had a hell of a time choosing categories when I uploaded it, because most retailers, instead of having an LGBT category, they have categories called "Gay" or "Lesbian"... or "Gay and Lesbian." Well, the people who fall in love in Secrets and Guys are a trans man and a cis woman who identify as straight, so...?
Anyway, above all else, this is a romance:
Secrets and Guys by Giselle RenardeWhen Patrick claims he's satisfied by nothing more than giving a woman pleasure, Alison doesn't believe him. They’ve only just started dating, but she's pretty convinced men are only out to use her body. Can Patrick the true romantic expand Alison's definitions of sex, love, and gender, or will his secret scare her away for good?
Warnings: This transgender love story contains throbbing hearts, explicit romance, and light bondage. Originally published as “Expanded Definitions” in the anthology “My Mistress’ Thighs.”
Excerpt:
“The trick,” Patrick told me, “is to find someone who complements you.”
My throat produced a familiar noise, something like a giggle that only comes about when you’re trying not to cry. “Yes, you really don’t compliment me often enough. I’ll feel much better if you tell me I’m pretty.”
“Of course you’re pretty, but that’s not what I’m talking about.” The off-handed compliment made my heart soar. “What I mean is that if you look for someone who’s identical to you, there are too many sames.” To illustrate his point, he withdrew his fingers from mine, only to press his fingertips against my fingertips so they exerted some pressure. “When someone’s the same as you, all the sticky-outy parts meet up and you deflect each other. You see what I’m saying?”
“Yes.” It suddenly occurred to me that this might be a break-up conversation, which I don’t think I could have handled on a first date.
“But when you meet a person who complements you—and I don’t mean this in a sexual sense—all the sticky-outy parts on you correspond to all the curvy-inny parts on them.” Patrick brushed his fingertips down a touch until his were between mine. Our fingers no longer deflected one another. Now, they snuggled in, fingers woven between fingers, until we were holding hands again. “You see? When people complement each other, they fit together so easily.”
Was he talking about us? I didn’t want to ask, but it was too early on. Instead, I sat perfectly still, gazing at our interwoven fingers as though they might open to reveal a crystal ball. Was that my future cradled in the sweating palms of our hands? I had my doubts, but I could so easily be swayed.

A Wolf in Grandmother's Clothing
It's Sunday night and I've spend the entire weekend playing with my sister's 10-week-old puppy, so I'm exhausted and covered in teeny-tiny teeth marks, but before I let my head hit the pillow I want to tell you about another new ebook in my Transgender and Genderqueer Erotic Romance series.
When I uploaded "A Wolf in Grandmother's Clothing," I wasn't quite sure how to classify it. It's an erotic-ish fairy tale adaptation, but I wouldn't call it erotica and I wouldn't really call it romance. There's a fetish component and kind of a mind-possession cross-dressing thing going on, but I don't know how to categorize it.
You tell me:
How far would the wolf go to trick Little Red Riding Hood? And what was Grandmother really wearing under that tattered old housecoat?
Blurb:
When Wolf encounters Little Red in the woods, he turns on the charm. Red doesn’t buy his bull. She likes girls and she’s not afraid to kick him in the crotch to get the message across. Well, Wolf’s got plans. He pays Grandmother a visit and, when she brings out the leather and locks him in her bedroom, what can he do but swallow her whole?
As soon as his bellyache wears off, Wolf hears a voice—a woman’s voice—telling him to shave his fur, paint his face, and put on Grandmother’s corset…
Read an excerpt from A Wolf in Grandmother's Clothing:
When Wolf collapsed in anguish at the entrance to Grandmother’s house, she opened her door with a provocative chuckle. Pulling him by the tail into her modest kitchen, she asked, “Back for more, are you?”
“Couldn’t if I wanted to.” He never wanted to, but Gran was an insistent woman. “I met your granddaughter along the way. She kicked me in the ‘nads.”
“I’m sure you deserved it.” Grandmother cackled. Leaving him like a broken yolk on the kitchen floor, she untied her tattered housecoat. “A little spitfire, isn’t she? The kid takes after her old Gran.”
Slipping the terry robe from her shoulders, she revealed a body cloaked in the habitual getup: leather corset, black stockings and panties, gloves and collar. If he hadn’t already felt nauseous from the kick in the crotch, this sight would have done the trick.
As he scrambled to his feet, she caught him by the tail and dragged him to the bedroom.
“Your granddaughter!” he cried in agony mixed with desperation. “She’s on her way. You wouldn’t have her catch us like this?”
“Time enough for a quick go,” Gran rebutted, picking Wolf up by the underarms and tossing him on the bed.
Before he could make a break for it, she bolted the door. There was no question as to why she had iron bars on her windows. It wasn’t to keep out thieves so much as imprison gentleman callers.

November, I Hereby Dub Thee the Month of Trans Fiction
Transgender fiction is kinda my first love. It's close to home since, as you probably know, my girlfriend is trans. Until this summer, I had tons of books on the market that featured trans and genderqueer characters. They were published by an amazing little house called loveyoudivine Alterotica.
Here's how awesome loveyoudivine (lyd) was: after a brief email conversation about the transgender gap in the LGBT erotica/romance publishing sphere (often seems like LGBT="gay and lesbian" while the bi and trans fall by the wayside), lyd's owner asked me to help create a line devoted to transgender fiction. She published stories about trans people who were REAL PEOPLE, who fell in love, who had trepidations, who had fears and body issues, and desires and wants, and, and, and...
Imagine that: trans folks portrayed as whole and actualized individuals in erotic fiction... just like people! Shouldn't be so hard come by, but, unfortunately it is.
So lyd published a crazy amount of my trans fiction. And then they went out of business. And then all my transgender erotic romance fell off the market. And I was sad.
But THEN I discovered the wild world of self-publishing. And I was happy. Because suddenly I had a great way to get previously-published books with great track records (two of them won awards) back on the market on my terms and timelines.
This months, guys. THIS IS THE MONTH! I'm gettin' back on the horse, getting my erotica and romance starring trans characters, genderqueer characters, cross-dressing characters back out there.
Let's get this party started with an ebook that was incredibly popular when it was originally released: FRIENDS OF DOROTHY is a rough-and-tumble western about a cross-dressing cowboy and his romantic liaison with a tavern owner and her boyfriend. Here's your beer--would you like a threesome with that?
Friends of Dorothy by Giselle Renarde
When rodeo king Leslie Goosemoon is caught wearing lacy red panties, Dorothy's Tavern is turned upside down by the ensuing brawl. Does Dorothy have what Leslie needs, or does her boyfriend Ricky know better?
Blurb:
Leslie Goosemoon is a rodeo star with legions of ladies fawning over him. Things are getting hot and heavy with the one-night-stand he picked up at Dorothy's Tavern, until she unzips his jeans and finds he’s wearing ladies' panties. When he returns to Dorothy's, the whole bar's heard about his predilection. Nobody understands him, but that doesn't mean Leslie understands himself. The best he can do is duck the punches and repel the spit.
Dorothy's boyfriend Ricky has a theory about the undies: Leslie dresses like a lady because he secretly wants to get with another man. That doesn't sound right to Leslie, but what does he know? He just likes the silky feel against his skin. After a bar brawl, Dorothy sends the boys upstairs to lick their wounds. Who knows what else will take a licking?

Halloween All Over the Map
I'd half-planned to spend the evening on Church Street, because Halloween's always a blast in Toronto's Gay Village, but it's raining and I'm feeling lazy, so here I am at home, writing this blog post.
But this isn't the only blog post I've written today. Oh no. It's also my turn at Oh Get A Grip! where we're talking about Robertson Davies' High Spirits and whether fiction's more appealing if it's close to home or far, far away: http://ohgetagrip.blogspot.ca/2013/10/close-enough.html
I'm also rehashing an old ghost story you might have heard (it's true--it happened to me) and giving you a chance to win my paranormal erotica anthology BLOOD ADDICT at Long and Short Reviews (remember to include your contact info!): http://www.longandshortreviews.com/guest-blogs/halloween-blogfest-giselle-renarde/
Want to know about this ebook you can win? Here's the blurb and an excerpt from BLOOD ADDICT:
Spanning the ages from medieval fairy tales to today's dark desires, there's a story to meet every sultry taste in this collection of paranormal romance, menage and BDSM stories.
Blurb:
A jealous God keeps wicked Eve in a cage while a mountain monk guards his chastity with similar restraints. Recovering vampires fall to temptation when they find a cutter who claims to hold the cure. A Gothic mesmerist meets his demons in a repressed patient's nightmares. Twelve men fall to an enchantress’ curse while a sea creature drags an Inuit woman beneath the ice. A husband keeps his thirst for blood secret to protect his wife, and an office romance blossoms between an employee and his succubus boss.
Eight paranormal erotic tales from award-winning author Giselle Renarde.
Warnings: This collection features graphic language and explicit sex between monk and maiden, hypnotist and succubus, virgins, vampires, monsters and men.
Contains: A Jealous God, Jungfrau, Blood Addict, The Mesmerist and the Mare, Princess of the Ravens, Beneath the Ice, Simple, and Neither Love Nor Money
EXCERPT:
It was just like quitting smoking.
That’s what people didn’t seem to realize. If you wanted to give up blood and you had a hell of a lot of willpower, you could do it. It wasn’t easy. Hell, it was probably the hardest thing Byron had ever done, but it was possible.
Vampire stories were so romanticized. All that undead stuff, the melodrama of addiction, the eroticism, the homoeroticism wasn’t what life was like for Byron, even if he was gay. Well, bi, actually. His boyfriend Tyler was always on him about bi invisibility and how they shouldn’t let people think they were gay just because they were two guys who loved each other. Byron didn’t care so much what people thought, but for Tyler’s sake he corrected their mistakes. Sometimes.
Well, okay, maybe part of the reason he let people assume he was gay was that it helped in his profession. If you’re styling a woman’s hair and she’s sitting there thinking you’re gay, she’ll open up to you like crazy. It makes the job way easier. Tell her you’re bi and suddenly she’s wondering why you mentioned it at all. Are you hitting on her? What’s the deal?
So often Byron let sleeping dogs lie. No skin off his ass.
And then along came Amy and everything changed.
Everything.

Tell us what your cat did that made people want to ask again and again, "The Cat Did What?"
We are looking for first-person true stories and poems up to 1200 words. Stories can be serious or humorous, or both. We can't wait to read all the heartwarming, inspirational, and hysterical stories you have about your cats!
Here are a few suggested ideas but we know you will come up with your own:
• Has your cat ever done something that made you laugh out loud?
• Has your cat ever demonstrated a surprising degree of empathy or comprehension of a situation?
• Have you ever taken a trip with your cat? Did s/he do something funny?
• If you have more than one cat, have they ever done something together that you can't believe?
• Does your cat do something that no other pet of yours has ever done?
• Does your cat act a certain way with a particular family member?
• Has your cat ever gotten stuck somewhere?
• Has your cat ever done something extremely embarrassing?
• Has your cat ever done something that you only heard about from someone else?
• Do you sometimes think your cat is human?
• Has your cat done something heroic?
• Has your cat "two-timed" you with another family?
Please remember, we no longer publish "as told to" stories. Please write in the first person about yourself or someone close to you. Do not ghostwrite a story for someone else unless you list that person as the author. If a story was previously published, we will probably not use it unless it ran in a small circulation venue. Let us know where the story was previously published in the "Comments" section of the submission form. If the story was published in a past Chicken Soup for the Soul book, please do not submit it.
If you submitted a story or a poem on our website to a book entitled "Stories About Cats" within the last few months please do not submit that same story or poem to us again. We have it in our database. We have tweaked the title of our cat book just a little and we have extended the deadline date for submissions but other than that the database remains the same and your story is in there and will be considered for the book.
If your story is chosen, you will be a published author and your bio will be printed in the book if you so choose. You will also receive a check for $200 and 10 free copies of your book, worth more than $100. You will retain the copyright for your story and you will retain the right to resell it.
SUBMISSIONS GO TO OUR WEBSITE. Select the Submit Your Story link on the left tool bar and follow the directions.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS JANUARY 5, 2014.Giselle Renarde

Trick or Treat! It's Spooky Smut in the City
http://spooky.smutinthecity.co.uk/
Have you heard about the Spooky Smut in the City blog hop? Well, you've found it. And today it's found me. It's here. Right now. The smut is coming... from inside the house!
Is it just me, or do BDSM and succubi go together like threesomes and vampires?
Last year I wrote a short story called Blood Addict, about bisexual vampires trying to kick the habit. I was very impressed with myself, but my girlfriend/editor didn't think it was up to snuff. She tried to lead me in the right direction. I rewrote the story. Nope, still wasn't good enough. I rewrote it again.
By the time Blood Addict met my editor/girlfriend's exacting standards, Halloween was long past and I was like, "Okay, so am I going to sit on this for another year, or what?" I guess I could have released the story at any time of year, but that didn't occur to me.
What DID occur to me was that I had a lot of paranormal stories sitting on my hard drive, collecting dust. These stories didn't just involve fairy tales, vampires, and other creepy creatures--they also involved MMF menage and BDSM. So I put them all together and voila! This Halloween, we've got a brand new anthology called Blood Addict! Some stories are pretty sweet, pretty romantic. Some stories are extreme. The first story in the collection, A Jealous God, is about caging and confinement. It pushes clear past the sensible limits of domination and submission.
On the flip side, there's an erotic fairy tale adaptation in there called Princess of the Ravens that's really nice and romantic. Eight stories in total, and there's quite a range of fiction. Published by eXcessica.
And if you prefer lesbian erotica and paranormal romance, you might opt for Girls Gone Carnal: Lesbian Vamps, Witches, and Weres. Published by eXcessica. And if you like to pick and choose, many of the 16 stories that appear across Blood Addict and Girls Gone Carnal are also available as individual ebooks. The series is called Paranormal Erotic Shorts, and you can get them at

Dirty Little Numbers
I'm going to write a review right now. I don't usually review fiction, but I'm going to do it anyway.
There's a book that's just come out called Dirty Little Numbers. It's published by Go Deeper Press. One of my stories is in it--actually, at 100 words, "What Does the Bunny Say?" is the shortest story I've ever written, but it's weird and wild enough to pack a punch.
Dirty Little Numbers: Erotic Flash Fiction of 500 Words or Less

I love short stories. I've written novels and novellas, but short stories are my first love--the shorter, the better. These ones are all under 500 words. Heaven!
So I figured I'd pick one story from my contributor's copy, at random, and write a little review of it. Here we are. Live blogging. I'm just going to scroll through the PDF and... huh, okay this story is called "Anonymous" (hey, my first novel was called Anonymous!) and the author is Daniel Burnell--new to me.
"Anonymous" by Daniel Burnell is a wall. It tells you so, right off the bat: "I'm a wall. A big, fat wall. A barrier." HA! I'm laughing already: a wall of words informing the reader, self-reflexively, that it is a wall. But it's not just the story itself that acts as a wall; the character, Anna, is a wall as well. She's a "huge, fat, forbidding" pregnant wall in her husband's bed. The quick, choppy sentences work for me, especially within a wall of words. I feel like I'm in a cardboard box with a flashlight, wondering how this dirty little number is going to end.
...and...
...and...
Sorry, I read the rest without you. I just got so engrossed I forgot you were sitting there waiting for me to say something. But, I'll tell you this, I found "Anonymous" clever and heartwarming and real. REAL real. Wow, what a great little story. Good things come in small packages and big, fat walls.
I wonder what else is in this book...

Hump Day $0.99 Flash Sale: You don't want to miss this!
Seems everybody's selling these incredible box sets of multiple novels and novellas for only $0.99. Kind of makes me want to cry.But I can't beat 'em, so I might as well join 'em.
For ONE DAY ONLY, you can get my brand new 3-novel/la bisexual "lesBIan Box Set" for only $0.99 at All Romance Ebooks: https://www.allromanceebooks.com/product-lesbianboxset3bisexualnovellas-1326225-341.html
This price is seriously ridiculous, so it won't last. Get it NOW or forever hold your peace, yo.
What’s in the box?
The lesBIan Box Set includes three twentieth-century erotic romance novellas about girls who love girls… and guys!
“A Little Burlesque” is set at the tail-end of the Vaudeville era. Madame Mireille's ocean-side parlour specializes in raunchy comedy sketches, undulating fan dances, chorus lines and, of course, the striptease. The all-female troupe's two newest members couldn’t be more different—Ginger’s a saucy redhead who’s been around the block a few times, while young Orchid embodies innocence and naïveté—but the girls share secrets that could land them in trouble.
“Good Bi Valentine” follows the comedic exploits of Lexi the Sexi building superintendent. After joining her favourite tenant-with-benefits for a Valentine’s Day romp, she’s called out to fix a beautiful woman’s plumbing. Just when she thinks she’s done for the day, a young couple enlists her help with a video camera. Will this V-Day never end?
In “Ondine,” novice painter Evelyn Fon’s first gala celebration it defies her every expectation. She thought she’d be attending on the arm of Gavin Drinkwater Junior. When Evelyn discovers her date is Gavin’s elitist father, she’s drawn into a story of billionaires, art patrons, and the mystery surrounding his mother’s torrid 1970s love affair with a ballerina named Ondine.

Fisting Day and Wife Watching and Obscenity
Fishnets, Fisting & FuckingIt's 5:30 in the morning. I haven't been to bed yet, and I won't let myself go until I finish this post. So it won't be long.In fact, it doesn't need to be long because Jiz Lee has already said everything there is to say on their blog, here: http://jizlee.com/fisting-day/
Did you read it? Good, because it's important stuff.
Why is Fisting Day important? Well, if you have to ask then you obviously didn't read Jiz's post. With all the censorship bullshit we've been dealing with here in the erotic fiction sphere (how many of my books have been banned by Amazon?), I guess I shouldn't be surprised that porn producers have issues with distribution and obscenity laws.
This world is ridiculous.
I sorted through my backlist and realized the twelfth story in my Wedding Heat series has a fisting scene in it. In celebration of Fisting Day, Wedding Heat: Wife Watching is on sale this week for only $0.99 at All Romance ebooks and eXcessica. (It's usually $2.99, so get it now, before somebody decides to ban it)
Oh, Lexi...Also, my sock puppet author frenemy Lexi Wood has been in bed for hours, but, for what it's worth, she asked me to mention that she can't function without a fist in her hole. It's true, I must say. When she doesn't have a fist in her, she's a shell of her animated self.http://fistingday.tumblr.com/Giselle Renarde
