Blue French Shoes

Bonjour! I know this may sound a bit excessive but I have FOUR pairs of blue shoes from Paris! I'm not sure how this happened, other than that I love blue and I love shoes! Here is one of the pairs and I'll take more pics of the others to share soon. Vive les chaussures!

How to write a novel, or seven, for that matter

A number of readers have asked me for some productivity tips and insight into how I manage my writing and working time. As most of my blog readers know, I have a husband, two kids, and a thriving new media business in addition to my burgeoning career as a YA novelist. And, of course, I also have a thoroughly adorable dog I spend time with!

Can you spot the dog?

I'm not afraid to say it – I am a very busy woman! I also travel to conferences, host podcasts, volunteer at my son's school and...

I've now written seven novels

I finished the first draft of Mockingbirds2 this week and as I was finishing it hit me – I have written seven novels. You may be wondering why you haven't seen any on shelves! Being Bad Never Felt So Good.

Poppy Browne had never stolen anything in her life before moving to Pleasant Acres, Texas and meeting Mary Jane and Whitney. But when Poppy walks out of the mall with her two new friends and her first pair of stolen jeans, she's hooked. Before l...

A Block in Paris…

This is one of the things I enjoyed about my visit to Paris last week. You see these shops

of completely different styles right next to each other on the same block…

Chalkboard Menus

Modern wine shop

Hip restaurant

And they look perfect together…

The whole block

The Mockingbirds at BEA

Some of my blogger friends sent me pictures of "The Mockingbirds" at the recent Book Expo America convention and conference in New York in late May. Here they are!
