Seven Best Practices for Building an Online Presence
I recently participated in the WriteOnCon online conference for writers and presented a talk on Building an Online Presence. The talk included my "Seven Best Practices" and I'm going to share them here.

Violet's baby picture!
So hubby and I were reminiscing about the day we got our dog Violet. Who is, incidentally, the cutest dog in the world. And if you don't believe me just look at this picture he sent me to show me the dog he'd found for us at the local shelter in March 2009.
As you can imagine, the second I saw that picture in my email there was no way I could resist that dog!! We got her the next day and she's mine and I love love love her!!!

They may be fetching the paper or taking out trash or kissing a spouse goodbye for the day. I just want to say you will never see me in my driveway wearing a bathrobe. Not only do I not believe in bathrobes — I subscribe to the "get dressed after shower" school of thought — I don't believe in wearing them outside of the four walls of one's house. How to Land an Agent
I love happy agent stories! So I thought I would share one with you from a blog reader of mine. I'm SOOOO thrilled that L.R. Giles just landed a terrific agent from the Andrea Brown agency for his young adult novel WHISPERTOWN so I did a quick interview with him on the query process. I hope this helps other writers also looking for agents. And I always want to hear these type of stories so email me anytime with them and I will share!
