St. Francis rosary, and little oddballs

Kind readers,

I have finished another rosary. For this one, I used a St. Francis of Assisi center, and obsidian snowflake beads.

A slew of other rosaries are in the works… As always, I shall post photos of them here after each is completed.

I was very much comforted last night, as I linked the beads together. I pictured my precious ones in my mind's eye, and saw myself enveloping them tenderly in my robes, which filled with my heart with peace and joy. Each bead was a prayer -Lord Jesus, have...

Repentant Prince rosary

Kind readers,

today I made a rosary which is quite special to me… It was inspired by a broken-hearted Potions Master who devoted his life to love (a love which, as I suggest in my books of essays on the subject, was refined until it became True Love, a communion with the Eternal Other). Mystically speaking, he belonged to the One who was, is, and ever shall be, the One who is Always and transcends this life.

I used fire polished crystal glass beads, jet black and emerald, a large center (more t...

le petit professeur

Kind readers,

because of a few minor administrative details, the official opening of my etsy shop will be delayed by another week or two, but it should not be much longer now!

In the meantime, I shall continue to share photos of my completed rosaries with you. Here is the latest… I used a gold center of the Sacred Heart, and howlite beads. I love this one… It reminds me of the Heavenly Jerusalem.

And here is a photo of the gift box my rosaries will come in. The box will be either gold or silver ...

Joan of Arc rosary, this and that

Kind readers,

here is the Joan of Arc rosary, but with mother of pearl beads. It is a semi-precious stone I especially love.

My next Joan of Arc rosary will be made with hematite beads.

Last night, I spent a couple of hours calculating the costs involved in making these rosaries of mine, factoring in supplies, packaging, labor (it takes me about two hours to craft one and I thought minimum wage would be acceptable), fees, and so on… I came to the conclusion that my rosaries would range between 3...

Agony in the Garden

Kind readers,

once again, my latest rosary… The center depicts the Agony in the Garden on the front, and the Resurrection on the back. I used red multifaceted glass crystal beads.

I really love this one.

Our Blessed Lady will be featured in a number of my upcoming rosaries; I am waiting for the beads (pale blue and deep violet).

Goodness, I can hardly wait to open my etsy shop! Every day I eagerly await the arrival of the mailman. Hopefully, I shall soon have the registration number I need for...

holy, fragrant rose

Kind readers,

this rosary was a delight to make. I used rose petal beads from Bethlehem and metallic divider beads shaped like roses…

The beads are delicate and exude a soft, rose water scent… I shall be looking forward to crafting more like this one. Chances are I shall also make rosaries with crushed jasmine petals.

I am a bit tired today. I have been in need of spring lately.

quiet joy

Kind readers,

I have another rosary for your today… It features a three clover Trinity center, matching crucifix, and shimmering adventurine beads.

I am glad to report that last night, I was feeling very happy with my work and assured that my craftsmanship was, um, relatively fair. The Lord and our Lady holding me up by the arms, no doubt!

It is a peaceful day. I am at rest.

Joan of Arc rosaries, Great Lent

Kind readers,

here is another rosary for you; the Joan of Arc rosary. I shall be making many of these, with different types of beads. This one was made with blue Czech glass beads.

The center is utterly beautiful and very large -almost the size of a quarter.

I love St. Joan and there are almost no rosaries that capture her spirit (there are few Joan of Arc rosaries, period), and so it is a great joy to make these specific rosaries.

Last night before I went to bed, I was rather weary and suddenly ...

The Good Shepherd and His sheep

Kind readers,

my latest rosary… The Good Shepherd rosary. Mother of pearl beads. It is very peaceful, I find… The white beads remind me of the sheep surrounding the Lord in the rosary center.

Next, I shall be crafting the Joan of Arc rosary. I am very excited about that one! I shall have photographs for you as soon as it is finished.

Rosaries are like little churches… The Church, beyond anything earthly -one's true home. The presence of Christ, who is greater than the temple. The beauty of God, ...

Padre Pio rosary, prayer

Kind readers,

I have finished yet another rosary… Indeed, I imagine I shall be posting photographs of a new rosary almost every day for a while.

This is the Padre Pio rosary. Black Czech glass.

I simply love taking photographs of the rosaries I have made. I try to capture the beauty of prayer… The peacefulness I feel in the presence of God. When I take a photo of a rosary, this is what I attempt to express: "Oh, don't you just want to pray right now?"

As I recited my rosary last night, I was so g...
