Infinitus… 'Tis getting closer

Kind readers,

here is how I plan to spend my time at Infinitus, less than two weeks from now… I may not attend all the lectures I listed below, though I shall be there for sure if the lecture is in bold characters:

wednesday

~ I arrive at the airport around 11:30 at night, check in at the Royal Pacific, go to bed

thursday
~ wandering around and chatting with loved ones until the Welcoming Feast [black robes:]
~ 1:30-3:00 Welcoming Feast
~ 3:00-4:00 Casting Your Patronus (formal programming)

Infinitus schedule, reading matter, writing project

Kind readers,

well, it is officially official: the Infinitus programming schedule has been released.

I shall be lecturing in a room called "Pacifica 10″ at 4:30 on friday, July 16th. Immediately after, I shall be selling and signing copies of my books, Bring forth the best robes: a spiritual understanding of Severus Snape and The flawed master: lessons Professor Snape taught me, should anyone want one.

Ah, my goodness.

I shall be adding more rosaries to my etsy shop after the convention is over a...

the tender, inner sigh of love

Kind readers,

my dear friend and fellow writer Denise Roper will be leading two panel discussions at ImagiCon in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday, May 22. The panels are about the Harry Potter books vs. the films (visit her blog at http://phoenixweasley.wordpress.com for more about this).

Speaking of conventions, my talented friend Ben Wu drew something special for me, a piece I shall use to make postcards for my loved ones who will be coming to Infinitus (less than two months from now)…

It is...

Infant of Prague rosary

Kind readers,

this morning, I listed a rosary that I made for a loved one…

The Mary Magdalene rosary will be next.

In other news, I have received my new passport… Eep. Infinitus is getting closer and closer. Next week, I shall know precisely when I shall be giving my short lecture.

I planted a flowering vine in my garden yesterday. I have a feeling I shall be planting a lot of pretty (and perhaps even delicious) things in my garden in the coming weeks… It is such a relaxing activity. I am...

garden season

Kind readers,

now that spring is here, I am spending more time in my garden… I am not crafting much at the moment. I sit beneath the sky and breathe. I care for the grass with my manual lawnmower, which I call my "Zen machine." I read.

I do have two books to edit, but I am now wondering if this task will have to wait until september; Infinitus is approaching, and then I shall be on vacation for a few weeks…

We shall see.

Your devoted

Logospilgrim, the quiet professor

Repentant Prince chotki

Kind readers,

my little etsy shop will soon feature a chotki… The Repentant Prince chotki, prayer beads inspired by our favorite Potions Master.

It is crafted with black silk thread, fifty-five multifaceted Czech glass beads (plus eight 4mm silver multifaceted Czech glass beads, used to separate the emerald green divider beads from the rest), a silver Orthodox cross and a three and a half inch long black tassel. Its hanging length is a little over twelve inches.

In addition, a number of new...

I am a pilgrim

Kind readers,

I shall have more rosaries for you in the coming weeks… Also, chotki; I have ordered beads and tassels for the first design, which will be another "Repentant Prince" creation.

Also, I shall be getting back to work upon my latest publication project, No lasting city, and then devoting myself to the book that will follow, Blessed.

Ah, goodness… I had a very relaxing week, even writing fan fiction after a long hiatus, but Great Lent and Holy Week have caught up with me today; I am...

Holy Spirit rosary, and true sight

Kind readers,

I have added another rosary to my little shop…

I have ordered a number of lovely centers and beads that I can hardly wait to use in upcoming creations.

Tonight, I shall be going to the Bridegroom service. Pascha is almost here. My heart longs to see the Light shining behind the curtain, and mystically witness the Holy Resurrection.

Later that day, I shall celebrate like a child: I shall eat a chocolate bunny and watch "It's The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown."

In other news, more...

drops of water

Kind readers,

I have been reading a wonderful little book by Michael Di Gregorio, OSA, called The Precious Pearl: The Story of Saint Rita of Cascia.

I came across one part in particular that deeply touched me… I thought, Yes, this is the secret of the universe.

After St. Rita entered the convent of St. Mary Magdalene,

The community's superior, wishing to assess the new candidate's aptitude for obedience, directed her to water the dead trunk of a barren vine. Rita complied faithfully day after...

Sacred Heart of my heart

Kind readers,

I made another rosary last night, and took photos of it this morning… I am very pleased with both.

I love the Sacred Heart; it was a joy to craft this particular rosary. I have just listed it on my etsy shop.

Ah, goodness -what a heavenly sight! This is such a wonderful image of the Lord, He who is gentle and humble in heart.

I am mastering the art of framing a photograph so that it looks perfect either in the "featured" section of my shop or as a thumbnail.

Have I mentioned how...
