the peaceful devotion

Kind readers,

I have taken yet more new photos of my work…

The Stations of the Cross chaplet:

And, the Mater Dolorosa:

I still need to tweak my etsy shop here and there, but on the whole, it is looking not too bad… I have got to spend some time with my pliers and craft more rosaries now!

To those who are intrigued by the rosary, but do not know all that much about it, I would meekly like to recommend three books… The Riches of the Rosary by Father Gabriel Harty, The New Rosary in Scripture by...

rosary gallery

Kind readers,

I have taken new photos of a few of my rosaries.

The Good Shepherd…

Saint Rita…

The golden Sacred Heart.

Now, I need to make more Repentant Prince rosaries… Among others, goodness. There are a number of rosaries that I need to make and then relist on my etsy shop, or list for the first time.

First, a nap.

sealed with love

Kind readers,

my rosaries will be lovingly packaged, as follows.

First, they will be placed in a silver or gold gift box, and tied with a ribbon, like this:

Then, the box will be wrapped in kraft paper, tied with string, and adorned with my personal emblem, the thistle:

If the rosary is a gift, it will thus be ready for your loved one. If it is for you, it will be extra delightful.

etsy shop officially open

Kind readers,

my little etsy shop is now up and running…

I shall be making and listing more rosaries in the coming days (there will be some with a Eucharistic cup center, a Holy Spirit center, a Pieta center, an Ecce Homo center), and I shall be relisting those that have sold, once I have had a chance to make more of them (such as the rose petal rosary, the Agony in the garden rosary, and the St. Francis rosary; I have already relisted the Repentant Prince rosary).

This whole endeavor is giving ...

Stations of the Cross chaplet, Infinitus news

Kind readers,

last night, I made my first chaplet. It is one of my very favorite devotions: the Stations of the Cross.

I used garnet crystal glass, symbolizing Christ's blood shed for love's sake.

Ah, yes, one of my Infinitus proposals, "Severus Snape, Jedi Master," has been accepted by the vetting committee. I do not yet know about the other one, but it should not be much longer, I imagine. So far, I know that I shall be rambling for at least twenty minutes during the convention!

Joan, Thérèse, and peace

Kind readers,

I have two more rosaries for you today.

First, another Joan of Arc, with hematite beads.

Second, St. Thérèse of Lisieux… Rose crystal glass beads, and silver rosebud divider beads.

I took care of a few more etsy shop business related matters this morning… Ah, goodness. I do not find such things easy; paperwork and forms and all that, I mean. But I think I have done a good job of it, and my efforts have a noble, worthy goal. I so love making rosaries for you!

I am not certain that I s...

Mater Dolorosa rosary

Kind readers,

so, getting back to our regularly scheduled programming…

Here are photos of my latest rosary, the Mater Dolorosa. I used deep violet crystal glass beads.

My etsy shop will be officially open this friday. If you see a rosary that appeals to you and it is sold before you get a chance to acquire it, do not worry; I shall make another one like it. In addition, my shop will feature a "reserved" section. If there is a rosary that you wish to have, let me know and when I list it, I shall ...

Ancient Faith Radio review

Kind readers,

goodness… Goodness… I am so humbled that I am having trouble putting sentences together.

My first small book of mystical Snape essays, Bring forth the best robes: a spiritual understanding of Severus Snape, has been reviewed on Ancient Faith Radio by the Orthodox author of such wonderful books as The Woman and the Wheat, Jane G. Meyer.

I knew that she would, but, I mean… I really was not convinced that my scribblings were worthy of a review of any kind on Ancient Faith Radio. I am ...

I have no home

Kind readers,

I have finished another rosary for you. This one features a beautiful center with an image of the Annunciation; on the reverse is an image of the Coronation. I used very pale blue crystal glass beads, and golden rosebuds.

Although I am Orthodox, the rosary is one of my favorite devotions… I find it so beautiful, and so healing. I embrace all of Christendom, you might say; I have always defied categorization.

I love the film "Ed Wood" by Tim Burton. I am very much familiar with the ...

The Repentant Prince

Kind readers,

I am a shutterbug this morning… Here are some new photos of the Repentant Prince rosary.

These shots feature my steel-rimmed, emerald green reading glasses… I need them to craft my rosaries; I can no longer lean in really close without things going blurry.

I have been thinking that Professor Snape has become an addition to my personal vocabulary, embodying an abstract idea, much like words such as "beauty" or "metaphor" or "eternity." I look at an image of him and he "means"...
