Grand-Baby Day! WooHoo!!!
My little dolls will be here in a few hours to spend the day and night...it's my favorite time of the week!
The oldest, Akasha, who was name after our favorite book/movie vampire is living up to her name..LOL She is my little question asker and the one who will answer the question if you don't come up with something to her liking. She loves horror movies and at 5 will hand me Night of the Living Dead and ask if we can watch it as our bedtime show. Akasha is also the co-author to our children's book The Tale of Two Toodlegnomes a series coming out with Hellfire Publishing very soon. Just saw the cover and it is too cute!
Shya the youngest is my little tom-boy who is having a hard time saying a few letter and because of that gets a load of giggles when she starts telling a story. That little girl is my handful, I can say no and she will wait until I'm not looking and do whatever I told her not to, anyway..LOL Both love books and that's a huge plus...both parents read daily so Akasha at 5 can read anything you place in front of her. Shya at three is sounding out words. I was never a reader until later in life, so it is wonderful seeing my peeps with a book in hand.
The girls are my muse and my down fall when it comes to getting my work done. If I think I can get them for the night or even a few hours, I am making that call. At times they are here three or four days out of the week and several nights...which I love. They're only little for so long and you never get lost memories back. The way that I look at it, I can write when they have other things to do.
Have a great week...mine will start with playing in the pool then more than likely making mud pies with the grands..LOL
Big hugs~

Going to the Vampire Ball in New Orleans...WooHoo!
I am so proud to say that I have been invited to one of the biggest events of the year. The Theatre of the Vampires Ball held by The Anne Rice Vampire Lestat Fan Club.
They have a huge visiting guest that will be there, Ms. Laurell K. Hamilton who will be sitting in the VIP area...the same area that I have been invited to and that is just over the moon for me.
I will be sending the President of the Club a print copy of my dark fantasy vampire read 'Dark Knight of the Skye' from the company I work for in the UK 'Vamptasy Publishing' along with 3 print copies of my short read 'When She Wakes' another dark fantasy read with a twist of erotica. I will also be doing a donation with my e-book Bloodbreeders: Living in Darkness, a Best Seller at Hellfire Publishing and one of my all time favorite vampire series.
I have my tickets to the other great things that will be going on at the conference and am over the top to be attending the Undead Con 2. The best part for me will be visiting the Cemeteries that the funds from the book auction will be helping to rebuild. All who know me, knows I love to visit and spend time in Cemeteries!
I also have my floor length Ball gown that is black leather with a lace up corset back...yep, me in any form of a dress is a shocking thought..LOL I still need my gloves and shoes, but all in all I am ready for the month of October.

Bad Moon Rising Over Oz
By: Keira Kroft
Bad moon rising over Oz is a version of The Wizard of Oz like nothing you've ever read before... And is not for the squeamish or the weak. Auntie Em has made a deal with the devil. She gave up her niece, Dorothy's soul in return for a plentiful harvest. Em was smart and worked a clause into the contract… Satan could only have Dorothy's soul in death, but she must also agree to meet the dark lord himself and shake his hand. Everything is going splendid until… A tornado strikes, killing Dorothy, hurdling her and Toto a shape-shifting Scottish terrier, into a beautiful land of happy midgets and bright flowers.
Unaware of her untimely demise or any satanic contract, she embarks on a journey through the Land of Oz, seeking the great wizard in hopes that he will return her home. As Dorothy unwittingly marches through hell, she begins to notice that nothing and no one is what it seems and there is no turning back… There is indeed a bad moon rising over OZ.

Jacob Ellis and his wife Donna live in the north woods of Wisconsin. Like most young couples, they have hobbies they enjoy. Jacob likes the outdoors, choosing four-wheeling and hunting as his forms of relaxation. Donna loves cooking, but her true passion is working in her flower garden. That is until her labor of love becomes nothing more than a colorful, tasty treat for the white-tailed deer, who share their surroundings. One night the pair experience more than the typical four legged visitor to their yard. The evening sets the path for Jacob's decision to go against nature. After hearing a legend passed down through generations of the Chippewa Indian's, Jacob must now decide if it's just a myth or a lesson in the balance of law and justice— between people and nature.

A Criminal
By: Robert Tangiers
Beth Franklin, a young artist with painter's block, needs to get away from it all. She rents an old country manor estate. On a chance visit to a local art curios shop, she's captivated by a strange painting, buys the painting, and takes it home…
Thus begins a series of frightening events—trances, strange visions, ghostly portraits that Beth inexplicably paints, and a violent haunting by a ghost from the past that's determined to enact vengeance upon Beth for the deeds of her unknown ancestor…Doctor Frankenstein.
