Bringing It Home
Now that I’m in the gym and on the dreaded Elliptical machine every day, I’ve been reading more (the only way I can stand that machine). I decided I wanted to check out one of the big guns’ earliest works. So, since I love Harlan Coben’s standalones,I went back to his beginning–his very first series.
One of my favorite things about Coben’swriting is his ability to describe things in such a way, you get it whether you’ve experienced it or not. And I love that he does it with humor.

That means I’m writing in a very small waiting room today.

New View?
Got a deep one for you, today. Has there ever been a book you’ve read that actually made you change something about yourself after you read it? A way you approached something, viewed something, etc?

A Room With A…
If you could have a room in your house that was all yours, what would it be (ie, an office, craft room, etc)? Tellus how it would look/what it would have if money was no object…

Taking Over
Yesterday, I asked what one fictional character really stuck with you long after you were done reading.
Today, I want you to tell us about a book you wish had gone a different way than it did–maybe a different ending, a different bad guy, a different lesson, a different setting… What change would you make if you could go back in and rewrite it?

So, I’m tossing a book-related question out to you that I’m kind of excited about. But it might require your thinking caps and maybe a little soul searching.
Okay, here we go…
Of all the books you’ve read throughout your life, thus far, tell us the one character you’ve never been able to forget and why?

Show Tunes
Over the weekend, DH and I went to the local dinner theater to see Man of La Mancha. And while the story is wonderful, the highlight is listening to the main character, Don Quixote, belt out the lyricstoThe Impossible Dream. It is, without a doubt, one of the best Broadway musical show tunes.
The lyrics, the score all come together in a truly moving piece.
For Good, from Wicked is also an incredibly moving soon. I actually cried when I heard that song for the first time with my daughters.
