When Busy Becomes Code Word for Crazy
Lately I’ve been hearing the old “Calgon, Take my Away” slogan in my head. It’s not that I’m craving a path, necessarily, but I am feeling like I need a little breather.
I’m working on a book (as usual) and writing oodles of blogsfor a virtual tour I’ll be doing in conjunction withthe June 7th release of Éclair and Present Danger. So when I say I’m at my computer all day long, I’m not exaggerating.
In between all of that I have some MS commitments I need to honorandDS’s college graduation is t...

In the Bookstore
You walk into a bookstore. What section do you go to first?
If you have time to go to another section, where do you go next?

On Deck
Slept in a little this morning which is rare for me.
Now, of course, my morning is all thrown off. Ay yi yi.
Here’s a question for you. If you couldn’t live in the state in which you live now, what would be your next choice and why?

Dear Younger Me
So I’ve got what could be a fun writing exercise for us today.
Think of something you did/went through as a teenager that you thought was a huge deal at the time (good or bad). Now, writing as the person you are today (with your current wisdom), write a brief note to old you about the situation.
Sound fun? Now give it a try in the comments…

Aging On His Own Terms
Spent a few hours with my great uncle yesterday. He’s 96 1/2 and just as sharp as he was when I saw him a month ago. Wow.
Talking to him is fun because I always come away with some new nugget–something about WWII (which he was in), or a piece of family info I hadn’t known. Sometimes he just cracks me up with the things he says. When he cracks himself up, it’s even better.

News, Notes, and a Cupcake
Some good news. My computer is back to normal (nothing lost). Phew! The folks at Lenovo were able to troubleshoot the issue over the phone.
So I’m back in business. Literally.
But today, I’m off to visit my great uncle. He’s 96 1/2.
A few things to note today:
I’m doing a Tuesday Treat Giveaway on my Facebook page today. Check it out if you can. I’m up at bat with the Whodunit Authors today, talking about the Malice Domestic Mystery Conference I attended this past weekend. And, finally, I l...

We Interrupt Our Normal Bits
So my 8 month old computer went black screen while I was writing yesterday afternoon. Likely lost an entire month’s work…and now the 2-3 weeks it will take for them to fix it.
As a result, last night was a really bad night for me. The only saving grace was watching my youngest get inducted into National Honor Society. Other than that, it was a pretty stinky day.
I’ll be back next week, even if I have to post with my phone (right now I’m hijacking someone else’s).
