From the Mountains to the City
This past week, I got to enjoy some time in the Shenandoah area of Virginia. Did lots of fun things, saw lots of neat places. But this particular view was my favorite…
I’d hoped to get tons of writing done while on this trip, but all the fun that was to be had kind of make a joke of that goal.
Soooo, this week, I’m using the scene on your left as my carrot to write. If you’re familiar with New York City at all, you’ll recognize this gorgeous bridge (my very favorite) from inside Central Park.
I’...

Bits & Pieces–Sky’s the Limit
Bits & Pieces time!
1) What three things would you take with you to an island (other than people)?
2) Do you have any superstitions? What?
3) If you won the lottery, what’s the FIRST thing you’d do?
4) If you could know the answer to any question besides “what’s the meaning of life?”…what question would you ask?
5) You have thirty minutes of free time to spend however you want. What do you do?
Can’t wait to see your answers!

Summer Memories
I’m working on a “summer vacation” blog for The Stiletto Gang tomorrow and figured I’d pick your brains a bit.
1) Do you enjoy going to a different place for vacation every year or do you prefer the same place/tradition?
2) What do you look for in a summer vacation? Meaning, what are some must-haves?
3) Favorite childhood vacation spot and why?

THAT Friend
Hey, I’ve got a question for all of you today…
Tell me about your best friend. The person who you see as your rock/your support/your fun (and we’ll just pretend I formed that in a question).

New Look, New Form
I’ve got some very exciting news to share with all of you! Back in 2005, I launched the first book in my Jenkins & Burns Mystery series. That book–an Agatha nominee for Best First Novel of 2005–was followed by two (one of which is my all-time favorite book) more. Recently, I was able to acquire the rights from the original publisher, opening up new possibilities for that original series…
Anyway, to make a long story short, I’m releasing all three books (with new titles/new covers) on ebook!! A...

Gotta Love These Bits
I searched high and low for today’s Bits & Pieces, so have fun!! Can’t wait to read everyone’s answers…
1) If you could pain a picture of any scenery you’ve ever seen, what would you paint?
2) If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
3) If you could choose anyone as a mentor (for a hobby, passion, or life in general), who would you pick?
4)If you could go back in time and witness a particular historical event, what would it be?
5)If you had to change your first name...

The Information Hunt
It doesn’t matter what you do for a career or even a hobby, there comes a time when you need to do research.
Maybe it’s trying to duplicate the decorations you saw on a cake. Maybe it’s building a car from scratch. Maybe you’re wanting to make a flower girl dress for a wedding. Maybe you’re wanting to paint a particular setting or write about a certain group of people. But no matter what it is, there comes a time when you have to do a little research.
Some folks like to read up on a subject. O...

Spreading the Flame (#3) On the Go
Heading into the city today for a meeting and lunch with my editor.
As a result, I’m going to roll with my surroundings along the way to decide what my flame of kindness will be (reporting back later when I get home). I guess I figure I’ll come across a lot of people in a lot of different circumstances between the train, subway, and all the walking I’ll be doing.
In the meantime, any fun random acts of kindess from all of you this past week?
