Suddenly, Bram jerked to his feet, his chair scraping on the floor.

Killian followed the man’s gaze. A pretty, tall blonde who looked familiar stood near the bar, wearing an On the Rocks uniform. She was talking with one of the other servers.

“Oh, shit,” Devyn said.

“Who’s that?” Killian asked.

“I suspect that’s Addie. A dancer friend of your sister’s.”

Killian remembered now. The blonde dancer had also been snatched by the Russian businessman who’d abducted Saskia.

“She’s the reason Bram’s been extra grumpy these last few months,” Devyn murmured.

Killian’s brows drew together. “He told you this?”

“We saved each other’s lives, Killian. We’re BFFs now.”

The idea of Bram having a BFF didn’t compute.

Suddenly, Addie stepped out from behind the bar, turned her head, and caught sight of Bram.

All the color drained from her face, and she swayed a little.

Bram made a choked, inarticulate sound.

Probably because Addie’s green apron covered a small but noticeable baby bump.

Oh, hell.

Suddenly, Addie moved, running behind the bar and dashing through a doorway.

A second later, Bram strode across the bar, shouldering several people out of his way, and followed her.

“What’s going on?” Hex asked, a bewildered look on her face.

Everyone was staring after the big man.

“Well.” Devyn sipped her drink.

“I think I’ll need another whiskey,” Killian muttered.

“Bram found Addie,” Devyn said.

“Adaline Harris?” Hex frowned. “The woman who was abducted with Saskia? He asked me today to find her.”

Devyn nodded. “She’s the reason he’s been a bear lately.”

“Oh,” Hex breathed. “Bram and the pretty, blonde dancer?”

Killian sat back in his chair. He suspected Bram was going to need their help. “She looked like she was a couple of months pregnant.”

“Bloody hell,” Bennett muttered.

Hadley and Gabbi gasped. Lainie blinked while Hex goggled. Matteo and Nick traded a look.

“Oh my God,” Hex said.

The team broke into several conversations at once.

Devyn leaned in. “Never a dull moment around here.”

Killian sipped his whiskey again. “Yes.”

She took his glass and took a sip for herself.

Excerpt from Claim of Eon (Eon Warriors #6) featuring the Oronis Knights

Suddenly, a deafening roar of sound cut through the air.

Donovan looked up. Oh, hell.

There was a ship in the sky. A big one.

And it wasn’t Eon, Terran, or Kantos.

The ship was black, sleek and angular, with huge, spiked plates of metal on its hull, almost like armor. Its engines glowed blue.

The gorilla-bugs froze. The large ship started firing blue energy pulses toward the beach.

The gorilla-bugs pulled back, disappearing over the edge of the tower. Retreating.

Airen ran toward Donovan, beaming. He leaped off the loader and was just in time to catch her. She jumped on him, legs wrapping around his waist. Then she kissed him hard.

“I take it that’s a friend?” he asked.

“Yes.” Her smile widened. “That’s an Oronis ship.”

Oronis. Jamie Park, one of the Divergent’s space marines, and her warrior mate, Aydin, had been helped by an Oronis spy. The man had saved them from the Kantos.

“A related species to the Eon, right?”

“The Oronis knights are fierce fighters.”

As she spoke, he watched a wave of black bodies pour out of the Oronis ship.

The fighters flew closer—all wearing kickass, black armor, three-quarter coats flaring behind them. Their heads were covered by black helmets. He couldn’t see any wing suits or anything, but the knights landed in crouches across the beach.

Then, they unleashed hell.

In awe, Donovan watched several knights draw long swords that glittered with blue energy. Others formed blue balls of energy between their gloved palms.

If the Eon warriors were strong, tough broadswords, the Oronis were sleek, deadly rapiers. Across the beach, the knights fought with lethal intensity. Donovan watched a blue ball of energy hit a Kantos soldier. The Kantos writhed, the energy racing over it, before it burned up to a husk.

He hugged Airen closer. “I like your friends.”

“Nice to see you too, Steel.” The redhead leaped off the table, ran, and slid in beside Hadley.

“Striker,” the woman said with a nod.

Knightley’s gaze flicked between them, and Gabbi had the distinct impression he knew they were up to something.

“Ms. Lockwood, may I have this dance?” He held out a hand. Something in his voice warned that he wasn’t taking no for an answer.

Hadley shook her head. “No, I’m sorry I—”

“She’d love to.” Gabbi smiled and gave Hadley a shove. “Don’t worry, Hadley. We’ll take care of…things.”

As Bennett Knightley whisked Hadley away, the woman sent Gabbi and Matteo an annoyed look over the man’s shoulder.

The video call connected.

“Norcross,” a deep voice said.

“Wolf.”

The man was big and broad-shouldered, and had a rugged face covered by a neat beard. His hair was a deep brown, and he wore a suit that looked way more designer than Cam’s. But when the blue-eyed man’s gaze met his, Cam didn’t mistake this guy for anything but a skilled, dangerous operator.

“Camden Morgan, this is Nick ‘Wolf’ Garrick,” Vander said. “Former SEAL Team Six and SAC, and second in charge at Sentinel Security.”

So the guy had been a SEAL, then gone into the CIA’s Special Activities Center. Not someone to mess with.

“Wolf, Cam is one of mine and former Ghost Ops. We need to contact Killian.”

Wolf folded his hands. “He’s out of the country.”

Vander bit out a curse. “We suspected as much. Can you reach him?”

“What’s wrong, Vander?” Wolf asked.

“Saskia Hawke called Cam today.”

Something changed in Wolf’s face. “Go on.”

Cam leaned in. “The call disconnected, and I can’t get in touch with her. The calls won’t go through. She’s in trouble.”

Wolf’s rugged face changed, taking on a lethal edge that made Cam think of the animal he was named after.

“I’ll look into it.” The screen went black, and Cam fought the need to punch something.

Is this the last Norcross Security book? I don’t think so. I suspect we’ll see more of the Norcross gang, but for now, we are headed over to New York for more of Killian Hawke and his team at Sentinel Security.

Poppy stopped and looked at Accalia spread out before her. A part of her would miss Earth, and her parents.

But she belonged here now.

She’d embrace her life on Damar with her gorgeous mate. She lifted her hand and the jewel on her ring glinted in the sunlight.

Brodin loved her. They’d make a life together, and she’d help him rule Damar, and grow old at his side.

She could learn more about the technology here, and use her skills. The head of the science team had already reached out to her and asked her to look at the solar-power generators.

Yes, it felt very nice to belong.

She headed down the path leading toward the landing pads. Her pulse skipped with excitement.

Mal was on her way, for a visit with her overlord.

Poppy grinned. They were coming to collect Thadd, but also so Mal and Poppy could see each other.

She was so excited. She also knew that Graylan was coming from Taln. Tonight, they’d have a feast, and it was a chance for the brothers to discuss Zavir.

They’d beaten Candela, but no one believed that Zavir had given up.

She neared the cleaver lodge. Just beyond it sat a sleek, modern cabin built into the boulders nearby. She knew it was Annora’s place.

Suddenly, the front door flung open, and Annora stalked out.

The First Claw wore fitted pants, and a red top. Her long hair was loose for a change. Wow, it was gorgeous. It also looked like her leg had healed well.

Thadd stormed out the door after her.

The pair spun to face each other, clearly arguing.

Hmm. Working together to fight Candela obviously hadn’t smoothed the relationship between these two. They—

Annora grabbed the front of Thadd’s shirt, yanked him closer, and kissed him.

Thadd shifted, cupped Annora’s ass, and lifted her off her feet. She wrapped her long legs around his hips, and he backed her against the side of the house, and they went at it.

Oh. Oh. Poppy stared, her eyes wide.

Well, she wasn’t sure what to do about this situation. If she moved, they might notice her. If…

Annora ripped her mouth free of Thadd’s and looked over his broad shoulder. Her gaze collided with Poppy’s.

Um. Poppy felt like a deer caught in a pair of headlights.

Annora struggled against Thadd until he put her down. He said something, Annora shook her head. Then she strode off, her long legs moving fast.

Thadd put his hands on his hips, looked at the sky, and very clearly muttered a curse. Then, he stalked off in the opposite direction.

Poppy cleared her throat and grinned. It would be fun to see where that ended up.
