Writing World

I'm on a countdown for the RWAus conference. I'm really excited to head to the Gold Coast this weekend and catch up with writing buddies, attend workshops and just soak in all the writing energy.

However, before I go, I have a big To Do list to tackle:
1) Finish the draft of my paranormal suspense novella (#3 in The Anomaly Trilogy)
2) Finish edits from Angela James on Winter Fusion, my Carina Press sci-fi novella
3) RELEASE TIME THIEF...so excited for this and it is coming very, very soon!
4) Unveil my new website!
5) Open some fun contests to celebrate the release of Time Thief
6) Finish prep for the Paranormal Panel at the conference
7) Back my bag

That should keep me busy. Actually now I see it all in one list, I'm feeling a little queasy...

I'd also promised to share some of the history of writing and books. So what was the dominant type of "book" during Egyptian and Roman times? The scroll. Most were made of papyrus and the most famous depository of scrolls at the time was the Ancient Library of Alexandria -- said to contain hundreds of thousands of scrolls before it was destroyed.
