Summer Sunrises Paranormal-Scope

While I am not qualified in any way to read neither stars nor planets I am intimately linked to the paranormal in the world in many ways. So are you.
The paranormal-scope is for entertainment and is not meant to guide your life.
Aries:
Faeries blow bubbles in the woods and jump on top of them to fly away. Plan to do something special for yourself.
Taurus:
Mermaids float near the locales of concerts near the shore just so they can sing along. Find a group you think might have fun activities. Check them out first.
Gemini:
Gnomes are following cats. Don’t ask me why? It’s a new behavior on their part and I haven’t a clue. Try doing something new.
Cancer:
Pixies are chasing pugs. It’s a new game. Look into the different kinds of games. You might find one you would enjoy.
Leo:
Vampires are wearing white so they blend in with everyone else on a sweet summer’s night. Update your fashion choices.
Virgo:
Sprites are doing the 3k races. Don’t be discouraged if someone supernatural is faster than you. Enjoy the exercise of your choice. Remember always check with your physician first.
Libra
Goblins have found a hoard of gold. It’s called a rainy day fund for a reason. It may rain and your roof might leak. Add to your savings plan.
Scorpio:
Gremlins are repairing toasters. Usually, they take things apart, but this group seems to like toast. Make yourself a great breakfast for a week. Then see how you feel.
Sagittarius:
Shapeshifters like yoga outfits. It works for them. Some need extra padding as they are rough and tumble. Find out if any of this is for you. Meditate on it.
Capricorn:
Were-rabbits are wreaking havoc in the gardens. Any good garden shop has some natural remedies that are not poisonous. Be very careful with garden and household products. Read the warnings before your buy.
Aquarius:
Werewolves are having howling fun. They’ve gotten together with some friends for a day at the beach. Plan an outing with your friends.
Pisces:
Butterflies don’t have to be were. They started out supernatural in nature. Smoking hookas will do that to you. They do know how to enjoy life. Enjoy the wonders in your life. There are many!

Why I Watch the Sunrise By Susan Hanniford Crowley
On many of the important days in my life, I have gotten up just before sunrise. It always floods my being with gratitude and high hopes.
Lately, I’ve been very ill. My doctor said it could be long-term covid side effects or late side effects from chemotherapy. It’s hard to tell as they both have similar symptoms. So my medication was adjusted to hopefully help me feel better. He also said they still don’t know enough about either.
Whenever I see any of my doctors, I always say, “I’m grateful to be alive.”
I understand that modern medicine is trying to unravel modern disease puzzles. They don’t have all the answers. Around the globe, doctors are trying to understand the seemingly never-ending variations of coronavirus. There are other doctors looking for a cure for cancer. I have high hopes for all the medical teams.
Our world is in turmoil. All you have to do is turn on the TV news and you’ll feel sick. People are feeling broken inside. Some have lost hope.
Hope keeps life going. Even when things are at their worst, be hopeful.
Abraham Lincoln once said, “My dream is of a place and time where America will once again be seen as the last best hope of earth.”
For me, each sunrise reinforces hope!

For The Love Of…Angel Numbers by Artemis Crow
Many times that I’ve seen pairs of matching numbers. 333 or 444 or 1111 are numbers I’ve seen so often that I wondered if there was meaning behind them. A friend pointed me to angel numbers.

One is a powerful manifestation figure. Busy for What?
My life right now feels crazy. I feel like I am always writing about how busy I am, how crazy things are, how little time I have and all the ways that we need to learn to slow down in life and relax. I guess I’m writing about this all the time because it is always true. But it isn’t always true only for me, it seems true for all of us. This is at least my experience in all the folks I interact with on a day-to-day basis. It’s like a competition of which one of us can drive ourselves insane with how busy we are.
How do we all deal with this? I know that I use lots of lists—There is some thing about checking some thing off the list that just makes me happy. I think it is also the realization that even though there is so much to do I can really only take care of one thing at a time at least if I am truly giving it my attention. And in reality, what is wrong with that?
all these deadlines that we set, all these goals we create to do better and do more, where do they really get us? I don’t see a whole lot of happy people walking around in the world. I’m sure they are out there they just certainly aren’t on the news and they aren’t necessarily all the folks around us either.
Bottom line? You are busy, I am busy, we are all busy. Do we want to be? Why? Are we busy with the right thing? If we don’t have answers then perhaps it’s time to do something about these questions. Happy writing this week.

4th of July Paranormal-Scope
The 4th of July in the United States of America is a celebration of our Independence Day of becoming our own nation. We have fireworks, parades, and lots of family gatherings and barbecues.

Mermaids rise to the surface in Long Island Sound to watch the fireworks. They do a sushi banquet. Plan a get-together with friends.

Vampires celebrate their independence to live long and study. Some get several college degrees. Consider taking a course in-person or online on a subject you’d love to know about.
Gemini:
Elves are using the day for tidying up their homes. Consider tidying up also.
Cancer:
Gnomes are all about relaxing after spending hours tending their gardens. They like to watch “Gnomeo and Juliet,” a gnome favorite movie. Relax with a movie or two!
Leo:
Faeries love to play with fireflies but not the fireworks. They will be watching from the trees. Location for the best outcome is everything.
Virgo:
Dragons roar when fireworks boom. If the sound bothers you, listen to calming music instead.
Libra
Sprites like a good sale. There are several stores open on this holiday. If you want to go out and shop, but something good.
Scorpio:
Goblins are barbecuing and enjoying the company of family and friends. Do the same if you like!
Sagittarius:
Gremlins really needed the day off. They love bubble baths. It’s a good plan to soak and forget your troubles for a while.
Capricorn:
Shapeshifters enjoy enlarging plans like when a small party gets bigger or when a drive turned out to park and watch the fireworks. Flexibility can be an excellent thing for you this week.
Aquarius:
Werewolves love it when all their fur is nicely coiffed. Go through your wardrobe and think about updating your appearance.
Pisces:
Were-owls enjoy a front-row seat to all the action. Think about getting tickets to a movie, play, or concert.

A Third Generation Girl Scout By Susan Hanniford Crowley
Growing up, I spent many happy years as a Girl Scout. I always came home exhausted, with twigs in my hair and smelling of campfire smoke, but I was happy.
There is nothing like having corn on the cob that you cooked by pushing the husk-covered corns into the hot coals of a firepit. Foiled-covered baking potatoes cut in half with butter between are placed on or in the coals. We folded foil packets with a piece of chicken, butter or oil, and veggies which were then placed on the coals. This is coal cooking when they are still hot after the flames die down. Everything tasted out better than best.
Singing and telling stories around the campfire was fun. I told stories about things that go bump in the night but always with a hero or heroine who wins the day. We made up songs. We had talent shows.
Camping in a tent or a tent on a platform or a cabin is all the same fun. We made friends and talked after lights out or until we passed out from exhaustion. I loved listening to the rain hit the tent at night. Critters in the darkness beyond the tent chirped. The wind whistled in the night.
When I grew up, I became a Girl Scout Leader and passed my knowledge and sense of fun to another generation. My daughters grew up in my troop.
This past week, my oldest granddaughter became the 3rd generation in our family to have a great time at Girl Scout Camp.
Long may the Girl Scout Camps give their unique gift of teaching skills, creating friendships, and just being fun!

Unhealthy Competition
Competition is part of life. It can be fun, it can motivate us to try harder and strive for more, and it can lead to innovation and more challenging goals. It can also be destructive if it gets the better of us.
As I look at those around me, I can’t help but notice how our social lives have somehow become a competition. Who has the nicer yard, who has the bigger pool, who is making the best investment choices and who has the more impressive job. Why do we do that? What does it even matter? From what I can see, all this worrying about what others do and less focus on what we do, doesn’t help us any. If anything, it makes us more insecure and leaves us to worry about the insignificant things in life.
Now perhaps this is partly my opinion that these things are not worth stressing over. I also have the luxury of leading a good life. We are not super wealthy, nor do we lack everything we need. But I also work in finance and I’ve come to realize that money and everything that surrounds it will not make us endlessly happy.
Lesson learned? You worry about you and I will worry about me and let’s leave the competition for the playing field or the areas that will make our world a better place.

Mermaids rise to a golden glow on the water. Fish rise too. Breakfast! Review your current meal options and choose wisely.

Were-puppies love to play in the wet grass. Playing can be refreshing. Play a musical instrument or stretch out in yoga. Find something you enjoy playing.
Gemini:
Shapeshifters use the morning to organize. Choose only one area, a desk or cabinet that you want to reorganize. Get rid of clutter. Gain knowledge of what you have.
Cancer:
Elves are the curators of fine books. Time to find great bookcases. Time also to collect those you don’t want to keep and sell them to a used bookstore or give them away.
Leo:
Vampires yawn at sunrise. For them, it’s refreshing to go to bed, while others rise into action in the sunlight. There are days when returning to bed is the best option. Your health is important. Confer with a physician if you’re not sleeping well at night.
Virgo:
Faeries paint the color of dawn. Then it’s off to tea and breakfast. Start the day with a healthy breakfast. If you can rise earlier enough to appreciate the dawn. Consider capturing it with photography or pastels.
Libra
Sprites enjoy a good run racing before with the splashes of sunlight. If running is not your thing, consult your physician for an exercise that would fit you.
Scorpio:
Gnomes are into pet appreciation. First, there is the petting and playing. Next, there is the pet’s breakfast. Do the same if you have pets. If not find another way to appreciate the first moments of daylight. You can do it. You have a creative mind.
Sagittarius:
Dragons soar into the sun and make their mental to-do list. While you don’t have to do the same, making a to-do list is helpful.
Capricorn:
Goblins are always counting money. Check out your wallet before you leave the house. Make sure you have your keys. Make sure you have what you’re going to need for the day.
Aquarius:
Gremlins never seem to break machinery at dawn. They sleep in. Put on a sunny smile and consider starting a rainy day fund for repairs to things that break.
Pisces:
Pixies enjoy drinking dew drops in the morning. Water is vital to everyone! Plants too! Be sure to stay hydrated. Take water with you if you feel it necessary.

The Lily and the Broken Pot By Susan Hanniford Crowley
Last year, there was something in my yard eating my daylilies after they were past their bloom. In an effort to save the last two, I dug up the bulbs and put them in a pot.
We had a rough winter. As you can see part of the pot broke off. What you probably cannot see is that the entire pot cracked all the way around. I knew that I could not move them when I saw they had buds. So I bought a new pot for transplanting once they are past their bloom.
Clovers decided to grow in the broken pot with them to keep them company, no doubt.
The new pot neighbor is a strawberry plant.
I see something beyond a broken pot.
There are things in life that break us like heartache, disease, dashed dreams, and confusion with what life has handed us.
Some people are broken for a long time. Life is hard. They may need more time to heal.
Other people even if their past is broken, push forward to a new adventure, maybe even if it means going for a different dream.
Can you imagine being like this lily that keeps growing toward the sun? This is better than surviving. This is thriving and feeling joy and warmth in living the moment.
I love the idea of being a lily!

Summer Solstice Paranormal-Scope
Today is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year! Let’s fill it with love!

Aries:
The werewolves are excited as the hunt for everything good and delicious begins. Consider what you are eating and what you’d like to try.
Taurus:
The Gnomes have finished spring cleaning and are packing baskets for picnics. A picnic with friends may be just the thing to welcome summer weather.
Gemini:
A griffin soars to new heights. So do you. Bring your best self to work and smile!
Cancer:
Faeries are making faerie cakes. They don’t have faeries in them but are made by them. Laughs. Try a new recipe that you’ve always thought could be fun.
Leo:
Were-cats are purring. It’s going to be a fascinating week.
Virgo:
Shapeshifters are planning a trip. A daycation or vacation can work wonders in refreshing the body and mind.
Libra
Elves love books, all kinds of books. They have modernized, which means in addition to paper they enjoy ebooks and audiobooks. Reread a favorite book or get a new book.
