Recent IELTS Speaking questions from Kuwait – September 2025

IELTS Speaking Latest Questions Kuwait September 2025

Our generous subscriber M.R. recently took the IELTS test in Kuwait. Here are the Speaking questions he remembered:

Speaking test

Part 1 (Interview)

– Where do you live?
– Are there any elderly people living in your neighbourhood?
– Do you think modern art is more interesting than classical art? Why or why not?
– What kind of art do people in your country prefer?
– Would you like to travel to space one day?
– Do you enjoy watching science fiction films?
– Do you think space exploration is important?
– How do you usually feel when you watch a film about the future?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe something you taught to a relative. You should say:

– who the relative was
– what you taught them
– how you taught it

and explain how you felt about teaching them.

Part 3 (Discussion)

– What are some things children can teach adults?
– Is it better to tell someone how to do something or show them?
– What challenges exist in the education system in your country?
– What qualities make someone a good teacher?
– How has technology changed the way people learn?
– Do you think people learn better from teachers or from experience?

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Speaking test

Part 1 (Interview)

– Where do you live?
– What does your area have that makes it unique?
– Why do you like living there?
– Have you been living there for a long time?
– What don’t you like about your area?
– What changes would you like to see in your neighbourhood?
– Do you enjoy spending time at home or going out more?
– What makes a place comfortable to live in, in your opinion?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe a game you used to play in your childhood. You should say:

– what the game was
– who you played it with
– how often you played it

and explain why you enjoyed it.

Part 3 (Discussion)

– Do you think playing games is beneficial for children?
– In what ways does play help children grow and develop?
– Why do even very young children enjoy playing?
– Should schools give rewards to students to encourage academic progress?
– Is it better to receive prizes as part of a team or individually?
– How have children’s games changed compared to the past?

Our thoughtful student T, who recently sat the IELTS test in Australia, shared the following Speaking questions he remembered:

Speaking test

Part 1 (Interview)

– Where do you work?
– Do you like your job? Why or why not?
– Did you ever visit a library when you were a child?
– What do you usually do when you go to a library?
– Do you prefer quiet and peaceful places or busy and crowded ones?
– Describe a quiet or crowded place that you know.
– How often do you spend time in such places?
– Do you think people today have fewer quiet spaces than in the past?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe a place where you planned to spend only a short time but ended up staying longer. You should say:

– what the place was
– why you went there
– how long you planned to stay

and explain why you stayed longer than expected.

Part 3 (Discussion)

– Why do people need to plan before a trip, and is it always necessary?
– Do you think it is better to follow a strict plan or just go with the flow when travelling?
– What is the importance of planning and being punctual in daily life?
– How can punctuality affect relationships and work?
– Japanese people are known to be very punctual. What can we learn from cultures like that?
– Do you think people nowadays value punctuality as much as in the past?

IELTS Writing Test – General Training

Writing task 1 (a letter)

You recently saw an advertisement for a product that you think could be useful for your company. Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:

– describe the product
– explain why it would be important for the company
– suggest how the company could purchase it.

Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

In recent years, more people have begun researching their family history. What are the reasons for this? Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
