Non-Family Abducted Children Exceeds 58,000 Annually in the US

Heroine Emily Stone from my two novels " Compulsion " and " Dead Game " has dedicated her life to finding and protecting children. It's not always a happy ending, but she won't give up the search when a child is reporting missing or abducted. She uses her innate profiling abilities and every piece of technology available to anonymously search out children and their perpetrators.
In real life, it has been estimated through surveys of households, juvenile residential facilities, and law enforcement...

Three Months and Growing!

Sarge has been tons of fun and he has rocked the household a little bit. I've been working and writing in between puppy playtime. Things are settling down now. The cats have forgiven me for allowing such a small, rambunctious locomotive into the house and into their quiet zones.
So many times people have asked me when you begin training your puppy and do you continue even when they're older. I always answer, "Right away" and "Always, no matter their age".

Dogs love to learn and are eager to pl...

Do the Eyes Say It All?

A personality to which forensic psychologists in several parts of the world have already dedicated hours of research time has resurfaced in connection with a second murder that shows many terrifying similarities to the first attack.

Joran van der Sloot, the main suspect who was arrested more than once but never convicted in the disappearance and assumed death of Natalie Holloway, has now been charged in last week's murder of Stephany Flores in Peru. The death of the 21-year-old Ms. Flores com...

Dr Phil Should Invite Emily Stone on his Show

I know that Dr. Phil hardly needs the exposure of my blog to promote his television show; his viewership numbers are holding their own! However, I must mention the topic of his program today. Dr. Phil will be focusing on women who appear to be your typical soccer and carpool moms who can found on the streets of every suburb in our country, but who also work as private investigators. When not taking care of their kids, these women pack their guns and spy equipment and track everyone from suspe...

What Scares You?

I enjoyed scary movies growing up, basically anything with a tormented monster intent on revenge or some crazed guy wielding an ax. I was one of those fearless little kids never afraid of the dark. I had to be because I had two older brothers that tried to torment me by jumping out of closets or acting like they were possessed zombies.

Even today, I almost hate to admit it, but I enjoy the millionth sequel of Halloween and Friday the 13th. Most of my family and friends just roll their eyes at ...

Book Review - Compulsion Provides Thrilling End!

Review by: Joshua Cordell
June 1st, 2010 "It is almost as if they were separated at birth as twins and now they have found each other again by a macabre twist of fate."

The twins? Well, they just happen to be serial killers starring in Compulsion by Jennifer Chase!
Interestingly these two individuals have very different reasons for killing; however, their reasons are so complementary that, instead of acting separately, as most serial killers do, these two have formed a close relationship–like n...

What Have We Learned From Serial Killers?

"Most police investigators will argue that anybody can become a criminal type simply by committing a crime and being processed through the justice system. We are hypothesizing, however, that serial murdering is a form of disease rather than a lifestyle, a syndrome that has specific hard and soft signs that are symptoms and identifiable long before the potential murderer commits his first homicide. The disease is the most ultimate form of episodic aggression."

The above quote was written by...
