Brother of Gay American Attacked on Sydney Cliff in 1988 Speaks Out, Ryan Field Books

Brother of Gay American Attacked on Sydney Cliff in 1988 Speaks Out

I think I've posted about this before. In 1988, a gay American man, Scott Johnson, was attacked on a cliff in Sydney, Australia by a man named Scott Phillip White. White was convicted, but his conviction was overturned with an appeal. And now Scott Johnson's brother in Boston, Steve Johnson, is making some strong statements.

White is back in court and he's pleading guilty for manslaughter.

The victim's brother and his wife had t...

Tyler James Williams Doesn't Like Speculation That He Might be Gay, Ryan Field Books

Tyler James Williams Doesn't Like Speculation That He Might be Gay

I'm not familiar with this actor person. He's associated with something called Abbott Elementary's, and I never heard of that.

But according to this article, and several others, good old Tyler doesn't like speculation that he might be gay.

“Being straight doesn’t look one way. Being gay doesn’t look one way. And what may seem like harmless fun and conversation may actually be sending a dangerous message to those struggling with re...

Elliot Page Was Once Told by an Actor Gay Does Not Exist, Ryan Field Books

Elliot Page Was Once Told by an Actor Gay Does Not Exist

I've always thought Elliot Page was the epitome of grace and elegance. We don't hear much about trans men...we don't know much about trans men. I've known plenty of trans women, but I never personally knew a trans man. But clearly, they are out there and living their best lives.

With that said, before trans men come out of the closet, they usually go through similar experiences  that everyone LGBTQ has to deal with in the hetero world. It'...

Anti-Gay Sentiment Growing in Uganda as Gay People Try to Get Out, Ryan Field Books

Anti-Gay Sentiment Growing in Uganda as Gay People Try to Get Out

One of the things that the concept of Pride was originally meant to be was the decriminalization of gay men. And it was supposed to erase the shame associated with being gay. It was never intended to be what it has become...a commercial free for all. And lately, it leaves me shaking my head.

However, at least things aren't as bad as they are in places like Uganda. A new bill was signed this past week that not only criminalizes gay...

More Ryan Field Books Up on Audible

More Ryan Field Books Up on Audible

My publisher, Riverdale Ave Books in NY, just informed me that I have more books up on audible. I've had a few up there before, but these are new.

As far as I know, here are the new books up.

Step Brothers in the Attic

A Christmas Carl

Pretty Man

Valley of the Dudes

These books are all parodies of popular straight stories. I wanted to parody them into erotic romances so gay readers...or those that like to read gay romance...get a chance to read something with which ...

Gay Days at Disney World Begins, Ryan Field Books

Gay Days at Disney World Begins

Normally, in previous years this would not have been significant enough to make news. However, ever since LGBT people have been under attack in Florida by right wing "family-friendly" Christians, everything has changed.

This year Gay Days in Disney is making the news and LGBT visibility matters this year. Gay Days is a tradition that started several decades ago with a group of gay men showing up in red shirts. Over 100,000 now attend and many still wear the red sh...

Latvia Elects First Openly Gay President, Ryan Field Books

Latvia Elects First Openly Gay President

With all the anti-gay hate happening all over the world, including here in the US in certain places like Florida, it's nice to see some progress happening.

An openly gay man was just elected President of Latvia by Latvian parliament. Edgars Rinkevics will be the first openly gay President in any of the Baltic nations.

The 100-seat Saeima legislature elected Edgars Rinkēvičs, the country’s top diplomat since 2011, as president to serve for a four-year term...

The Don't Say Gay Laws are even Being Slammed by Republicans, and Rightly So, Ryan Field

The Don't Say Gay Laws are even Being Slammed by Republicans, and Rightly So

Sometimes it takes a while to process new laws, and to try to figure out if they are decent or unfair. No one I know in the LGBTQ community wants to harm children in any way. In fact, statics show that it's straight white men who do the most sexual abuse to kids. So I have to wonder why Ron DeSantis and his group down in Florida feel the need to attack all LGBTQ people.

With the said, there's another Republican coming o...

Ted Cruz Calls New Anti-Gay Uganda Law 'Horrific' Ryan Field Books

Ted Cruz Calls New Anti-Gay Uganda Law 'Horrific'

When I posted about the new anti-gay law in Uganda that not only criminalizes gay men but could also give them the death penalty, I never expected to see Ted Cruz weigh in on the matter.

However, that's exactly what Cruz did. He's condemning the new law and he's calling for other nations to do the same thing. This is what Cruz Tweeted.

“This Uganda law is horrific & wrong. Any law criminalizing homosexuality or imposing the death penalty for “aggr...

Chick-fil-a Hires a VP for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leaving Conservatives Stunned; Ryan Field Books

Chick-fil-a Hires a VP for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leaving Conservatives Stunned

I've been following this story on Twitter all morning and I have to admit that even I'm shocked. After a decade of LGBTQ people and their allies allegedly boycotting Chick-fil-A for allegedly being anti-gay, the food chain has now hired a VP for diversity, equity, and inclusion. And of course the conservatives are stunned and they're called Chick-fil-A "woke." That's their favorite word when they can't thin...
