Attack of Journalist Who Revealed What Happened to Gay Men in Chechnya, Ryan Field Books

Attack of Journalist Who Revealed What Happened to Gay Men in Chechnya

Here's a story about what happened to the journalist who investigated what was happening to gay men in Chechnya.

Elena Milashina and Alexander Nemov, a human rights attorney, were violated and forced to share content on their phones.

But it gets even worse.

“It hasn’t happened in a while though. They threw out the taxi driver from the car, got inside, pushed our heads down, tied my hands, forced me to kneel, held a gun to my ...

Good Old Stanley Tucci of Gayface Wants Actors to Play Gayface, Ryan Field Books

Good Old Stanley Tucci of Gayface Wants Actors to Play Gayface

Whenever I read or see that a straight actor with white privilege wants to see other straight actors with the same kind of privilege play gayface, I cringe. I cringe for many reasons, but two are don't these blithering idiots realize that homophobia is still alive and well in Hollywood and many gay actors can't come out of the closet. And two, because they really do think they know gay men better than gay men know themselves. They do...

Pete Buttigieg, DeSantis's Anti-Gay Ad, and More, Ryan Field Books

Pete Buttigieg, DeSantis's Anti-Gay Ad, and More

Apparently, DeSantis made a few comments recently that criticized Donald Trump's feelings about gay people, with regard to the Hatch Act.

DeSantis also allegedly posted a weird video on Twitter last week and Buttigieg commented about it. There's a video. However, this whole thing goes all over the place. Even the Log Cabin Republicans slammed DeSantis for what he said, and they claim DeSantis "ventured into homophobic territory."

And here is the s...

Man Listed in SCOTUS Ruling Claims He Never Asked for a Gay Wedding Web Site, Ryan Field Books

Man Listed in SCOTUS Ruling Claims He Never Asked for a Gay Wedding Web Site

This is fascinating. I'm not even sure I totally understand it but I'll do my best to explain it briefly. Of course if I screw it up, you can check out the link I'm adding.

Yesterday SCOTUS ruled that a Christian web designer could turn away gay clients based on religious beliefs alone. And it was a ruling that singled us all out as flawed and unworthy and it set us back 50 years. But it gets complicated.

Allegedly, som...

SCOTUS Rules That Businesses Can Discriminate Against Gay People, Ryan Field Books

SCOTUS Rules That Businesses Can Discriminate Against Gay People

SCOTUS seems to be on a roll lately, making decisions that will set us all back at least 50 years. It's by no means a fair and balanced court, and the rulings are proof.

Now the court has ruled that web designers can discriminate against gay people. And once again, it's based on some conservative Christian Colorado web designer who didn't want to do web designs for gay people. She claims it's all about her religious beliefs. It's a...

Gay Men in Love in the 1850s, Ryan Field Books

Gay Men in Love in the 1850s

Whenever I see a religious conservative on social media speaking as if all things gay just started to happen in the past few years, I school them as quickly as possible. I don't know if it will sink into their tiny brains, but I figure it can't hurt either. I also do this whenever I see a non-gay person writing a gay romance and pretending to know about gay culture and gay history.

And that's what this article mentions: gay men who were in love in the 1850s, with pho...

California Senate Democrats Walk Out While Ambassador Richard Grenell Is Honored, Ryan Field Books

California Senate Democrats Walk Out While Ambassador Richard Grenell Is Honored

I've posted about Richard Grenell before. He's an openly gay Republican who's active in the Republican Party in California and Washington, D.C.  He once served as an advisor to President Trump, Ambassador to Germany, Director of National Intelligence, and he's held various consulting positions. He's also a cancer survivor.

Several Democrats who control the senate majority in California walked out of the room while G...

Republican Senators Claim Only Coming After Trans Rights and Not Gay Rights, Ryan Field Books

Republican Senators Claim Only Coming After Trans Rights and Not Gay Rights

It seems lately the world become more bizarre as each day passes. And here is an example.

Republican senators now claim that they have no problem with gay rights, but trans rights are a completely different story. Remember when they were all against gay marriage, Republicans and Democrats.

And, best of all, Lindsey Graham, is leading the pack. I swear I'm not making this up. Lindsey Graham.

Graham wants to make a clear d...

Ted Lasso's Gay Character, Ryan Field Books

 Ted Lasso's Gay Character

I watched the first season of Ted Lasso and loved it. But I was barely able to get through the entire second season. The show didn't just move the characters in different directions, I thought it made them too sappy and too sweet to be real. For me, they changed too much.

But I know a lot of people who would disagree with me. They seemed to love the show...all seasons.

As it stands, I know nothing about the gay character in Ted Lasso because they must have done that aft...

Rock Hudson Public and Private Lives: Idol, but Never, Ever a Hero, Ryan Field Books

Rock Hudson Public and Private Lives: Idol, but Never, Ever a Hero

There is a new documentary out titled, Rock Hudson: All that Heaven Allowed. And it seems to question why Rock Hudson has never had the same kind of notoriety as James Dean or Marilyn Monroe. The assumption is made that maybe it was because he had AIDS. But I don't think so. I think it goes deeper. Even though I know he couldn't come out of the closet during his lifetime, the disappointment is still there anyway. But I could be w...
