Apparently, DeSantis made a few comments recently that criticized Donald Trump's feelings about gay people, with regard to the Hatch Act. 

DeSantis also allegedly posted a weird video on Twitter last week and Buttigieg commented about it. There's a video. However, this whole thing goes all over the place. Even the Log Cabin Republicans slammed DeSantis for what he said, and they claim DeSantis "ventured into homophobic territory."
