Channeling Morpheus for Scary Mary Paperback

Channeling Morpheus iPhone Wallpaper It's here...it's physical...the Channeling Morpheus series (ebooks 1-5) in paperback!

Michael is a waif in eyeliner who's determined to wipe vampires off the face of the earth.

Wild Bill's got the hots for Michael, and will stop at nothing to go home with him.

Forget about moonlit castles and windswept moors. These bad boys haunt all-night diners and cheap motels, cut-rate department stores and long, lonely stretches of the Interstate.

Haven't written a word today...

But I did get my kick-ass water filter installed. The local water tastes really bad and hyperchlorinated, and I tried using one of those Pur filters you stick on the end of your faucet and ended up blowing out my faucet at the base instead. Twice. So I talked to my plumber and he suggested this really hardcore water filtration system. I had the choice of giving up my sprayer and installing a special tap for it, or keeping my sprayer and having all cold water at the kitchen sink filtered. (I c...

Freebie!

Kissy cover of PsyCop PropertyWin your very own paperback copy of PsyCop: Property today at www.reviewsbyjessewave.com/

Victor Bayne sees dead people. Working homicide is a cinch for him, since the victims can finger their killers, and give the how, when and why of their own demises. So work is no big challenge. It's the rest of Vic's life that gives him problems.

PsyCop: Property contains PsyCop stories 3 and 4 (Body & Soul, and Secrets). In Body & Soul, Victor tracks down missing persons while his...

Packing Heat 069: Search Party

We have some new yays this week.
Yay to Jessica for selling her first piece to Associated Content
Yay to Nobilis for his podcast The Good Parts

Search Party
It ain't no party when you can't find your story!

It happens to the best of us...we're writing along and suddenly the story goes blah. What happened? Where did the story go? And most importantly, how do you get it back?

Here's a snapshot of the "big piece o' paper" method I mention:

Your Assignment

Make a plan, according to your work methods, ...

Up and down

today is a day full of ups and downs. The day job as me off. It's such a pain, to strive to give people free things, good things, and yet find there is always a big complainer and the bunch -- and their opinion is enough to really throw you off your game. Obviously, I had to deal with one such an opinion at the end of the day. In this case, some idiot but said we only had programming for children, when in fact we have two book groups, a film group, a writing group, and another program each and e

Massage your brain

Today I was a to-do list goddess. I powered through it.

I think I also worked for 15 hours which is probably not good. I feel a bit loopy and I have a headache. But I got a lot done!

I gave the CD Increase Your Creativity a try today. Mind you, I regularly listen to subliminal audio, hypnosis audio, affirmation audio, you name it, so I already like these types of things. When I was in grad school I helped out a psychology student who was testing the effects of relaxation tapes on various personali

Packing Heat 068: Choo Choo Choose

Decisions, Decisions
Our lives are a series of choices. How do we choose to spend our time, mental energy, and resources?

Time, Money
If we say we "can't afford" to do something, or we "don't have time" to do something, don't we really mean that it's not our priority, not our focus? Maybe it's a sort of shorthand to say you can't afford or don't have time for something. But wouldn't it be more empowering to say, "I'm not doing X because Y is my priority and I'd like to focus on Y."

Do you see how th

What's in store for 2010?

As I start to wrap up my Channeling Morpheus/Sweet Oblivion series, I'm making my plans for the end of 2009 and beginning of 2010.

I hope to see Zero Hour done, re-edited, and out in paperback either by the end of this year or early next year.

PsyCop 6 (untitled so far) is in the works.

I'm sad to say I won't be involved in Partners in Crime any longer, since MLR and I couldn't reach a contractual agreement. It was a whirlwind of an experience, and I've heard there's another great writer to whom I'

Desk Meme

Val Kovalin at Obsidian Bookshelf tagged me for a meme that's actually interesting! Here goes:
Post a photo of your desk
List 5 book-items and 5 non-book items on it
Tag 5 friends to do the same

Book items will need to be interpreted pretty loosely. I'll go from left to right.
1. a notebook with a Changeling Press postcard on top
2. a hideous red, white and blue notepad I got for free in the mail
3. a first-edition PsyCop Partners beneath it
4. a tossup between the carbon copies of a checkbook and the b
