there's a hole in my head…

and that's why i'm antisocial!

i went back to the gym for the first time

in eight weeks and had a rather untriumphant

return. i'm so out of shape! but to rub salt

in the wound, i spent 15 minutes at my locker

trying to remember my combo. i knew for certain

2 out of the 3 numbers. then i started second

guessing myself on the sequence. and that was

the beginning of the end.

muchly sheepishly, i went up to the front desk
and had the clerk cut off my lock. *shakes head*
this is my state of mind...

tgifbm! tempest rising giveaway!!

tempestrising

today, i'm giving away TWO copies of nicole

peeler's Tempest Rising, which was a super fun

and fantastic read. as warning, there IS HOT SMOOCH

in the book. since i have such a big YA reader following.

i, for one, enjoyed the hot smooch. haha! =)

and i love the jane true covers!!

Living in small town Rockabill, Maine, Jane True always
knew she didn't quite fit in with so-called normal society.
During her nightly, clandestine swim in the freezing winter
ocean, a grisly find leads Jane to startling...

addicted…

i am, to my sequel.

with jay chou songs feeding

that addiction. =)

i spent around six hours revising

nearly half of the sequel on saturday.

i love getting huge chunks of time like

that to be immersed in the story.

*sighs happily*

on a normal "workday", i get about

four hours on a good day. i'm at that point

in the writing process where i'm utterly

madly in love with my story. favorite parts

are emerging. i'm beginning to know it well

enough to jump to exact points.

if my manuscript were a...

sunset at greens

i haven't even posted all my fotos from my short

SF visit! totally immersed in sequel revisions and

really loving it. not sure about how to approach

some concerns i have–but i know that v will help

me brainstorm. love my editor!

my friend was kind enough to offer to babysit

the bubs so the love and i could go on a date night

to greens, probably our favorite restaurant in SF.

it's in fort mason and completely vegetarian.

saturdays are set courses and that's when we went!

tgifbm! Black Hole Sun and Paranormalcy!

paranormalcy

isn't this cover gorgeous?

i was lucky enough to snag an ARC

of kiersten's Paranormalcy and am more

than half way through! i know many of you

are very excited to read this and rightly

so! what kiersten has created with eveie

and her take on the paranormal is utterly unique.

it doesn't hurt that she's sassy, funny, and has

a super hot love interest who is also an original!

blackholesun

i think david's cover makes a statement
in its own way. and boy, so does this novel.
read in record time during revisions...

casting for Silver Phoenix, the movie

okay. don't get too excited.

only a mock casting. =) agent bill has

submitted silver phoenix to some producers

but no bites yet. of course,

like many authors, i'd love to see Silver

Phoenix made into a film–i think it'd make

a gorgeous movie. i'm not biased or anything. =p

so for fun, i decided to cast for the major roles
in the film as well as for the sequel. since that's
what i'm so immersed in at the moment.
as i've said before, i haven't watched many chinese
films, so my choices of actors are ...

a song for ai ling and chen yong

yesterday, i dedicated oasis' WONDERWALL to my

leading couple on twitter. but i heard this song twice now

recently (and i don't listen to any taiwanese/chinese

music) and had to try and find it. i believe the singer

is jay chou (i'm sure he's super popular =) and it's

a sad poetic very emo song in mandarin.

i love it. i love his voice and the forlorness

of this song.

you can find a translation of the lyrics here.

i've asked my mom to bring a cd back for me

from taiwan. =D

revising has been going ...
