Sexy Autumn Read Coming in October!
Happy Tuesday! Summer was summering in Texas this year! We're finally out of the consecutive 100-degree days, and I can actually think about fall weather and autumn vibes.
It's hard to want to drink pumpkin spice coffee when it's 105 degrees outside.
BUT NOW . . . it's FALL Y'ALL!
And with it comes a new series! I posted the mood board for my 🍁 new fall book coming out next month on Instagram yesterday. If you follow me, you saw it. If you don't follow me, why not? Let's be friends there too!
I don't have the pre-order yet, but it will be coming soon! I'm considering releasing it mid-October as it's a meet-cute but very spicy age gap romance with fall vibes and a Halloween epilogue.
Then, I have a sexy little Santa named Sebastian next in the lineup. Let me tell you that Sebastian is young, wealthy, spoiled, and orphaned. He's sad, sassy, and gets into loads of trouble. He needs a strong woman to tame him, and Chloe definitely will.
But that's enough peeking behind the author's curtain . . . onto writing!

Hamilton releases in 10 Days!!!
This beautiful guy and his second chance romance are coming at ya in 10 DAYS!!! 9.1.23!!!
I couldn't be more excited for you to read his story and the inner turmoil that haunts him as he finds his way back to his first love. Awwwwww.
He's such a cute cinnamon roll that I hope when you read it, you'll love him too. Plus, his best friend, Rico, is funny and will have his own book after Isla's. More on that later.
BTW, did you know that I'm hosting a Goodreads Giveaway for Takahashi as a way to celebrate the launch of Hamilton's book??? The giveaway ends on 8/30 so you still have time to enter!

Hamilton is DONE!!!
If you have ever seen the Disney remake of Rapunzel, then you will know the scene where she's full of joy and happiness, celebrating her escape. Then the next scene, she's crippled with anxiety and doubt, wanting to return to the castle she was held prisoner in? One minute she swinging from a tree by her hair, the next, she wallowing in her sadness, sitting on a rock.
Well, that is me with this book. I thought it was the greatest book I'd ever written, and then suddenly the worst. I loved Hamilton from the beginning, wanting to bring him a really great story, and then watched it nosedive into the worst story I've ever written.
I heard all authors feel this way throughout the writing process, but whew, I have never felt it so hard. Where am I now? I'm not swinging from the tree by my hair or sitting on the rock. Perhaps, I'm on the road to the inn, believing I still have a fighting chance of it all working out in the end.
That being said, it's done! Off to my wonderful editor that still believes in me after being days past my deadline, my eyeballs bleeding, and hoping I didn't create 125K words of redundant nonsense.

Drum Roll Please...
Sometimes I can be dumb, like things are so obvious and I still can't see the forest through the trees. Eye roll here.
However, I had so much fun posting this on socials and here and you guys SHOWED UP with the naming suggestions. I LOVED it and felt so seen and heard. Let me start off by saying THANK YOU for all the comments, DMs, and emails. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
Several beautiful people suggested the same thing for Isla's book, and everyone knows the naming convention should be the same for a series. But I listened to the wrong voice in my head and was like, nah, I'm going to do something different. Shaking my head.
Therefore, Isla's book is going to be called . . . Isla.
Insert that horn sound that signifies a big build-up to a disappointing reveal. I think it's womp, womp, womp.
BUT it made me have to go back a step and in the middle of a pre-order to right a wrong. I changed Hamilton's title from Lot Lizard to Hamilton. (I'm still needing to swap the covers on here though)!
And y'all, when I say Isla's cover is AWESOME, it's AWESOME and slightly disturbing. It doesn't say dreamy romance at all. It says, what the hell is GiGi thinking peddling it as a romance novel when it looks like a horror cover?!?!
OOOOOOO, maybe I should have some sort of contest around it. I don't know what, but that would be sooo fun. Shoot me some ideas because I'm literally terrible at surprises, gift-giving, giveaways, and anything that requires my creative brain to work that way.
Anyway, as they say in show biz . . . without further ado, onto the show!

Name my next book!
HELP!
I’m literally having the hardest time coming up with a one to two word title for Isla Frank’s book. It’s the 4th book in The Canon Series and I’m officially stuck.
I have an awesome cover for her. All dark and intriguing unlike the shirtless men in the rest of the series. If you’ve read Tomlin and Takahashi you know this girl has been through hell and back! Her book takes you deep into it but will still have a happy ending.
If you have any ideas, here's what I need you to do:
1. Email me as many 1-2 word book titles in the comments that would be a great fit for the story.
2. Share with anyone you think would like to help.
3. Send before Friday, July 21, so I can get something over to my cover designer.
4. If you follow me on Instagram, you'll see this same post and can comment and share there.

Lot Lizard is getting dark

Hope your Tuesday is going great! It's hot as hell here in Houston, once again. I passed a restaurant sign yesterday that literally said, "Hey Satan, We don't want your weather either." Too funny.

Happy Camp NanoWriMo!
Good afternoon,
It's officially the first day of Camp NaNoWriMo, and even though this is predominantly a readers' site, I know plenty of authors on here that are participating.
Today I hosted my first ever live writing sprints on Instagram. I have to admit, I was a little nervous because I am not the best typist. A lot of the time, I dictate my novel because I can speak faster than I can type.
But part of stepping into your fear is doing things outside your comfort zone that you know are good for you.
It also allowed me a chance to connect with other folks in the book community, and I always love that.
Anyway, I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday and ready to launch a new month with whatever goals you would like to achieve!

Things are heating up!
It's been hot, HOT, and hot around here lately. I just got back from spending a week in Destin with white sand beaches and emerald water. The heat was unbelievable until I returned to Houston, which has been in a massive heatwave for the last two weeks. Temps have been hitting 101 and 103, and the feels like is even higher. Ridiculous.
All that has inspired me to write a pretty steamy scene of Hamilton handling his own business 🍆😜 and fantasizing about Molli, back when they were together in high school. I would include it here but it's pretty graphic so you'll have to wait until the book is released to read it. I know, terrible plug!
Now back to writing Lot Lizard!

Florida here we come!
Happy Saturday!
I hope this day finds you having fun, grilling with friends, and snuggling in with a good book. Restorative, relaxing, or rejuvenating, I hope you are getting what your soul needs!
The crew and I are heading to Florida. Part vacation, part baseball tournament, part me freaking out about riding jet skis and boats because I have a ridiculous fear of getting my face wet, even though I do my skincare daily. It's dumb, but something about that great big ocean and riptides will have my butt planted on the sand, maybe cool off in the surf - but that's it.
Anyway, I need to catch up on my word count with Hamilton, but can I tell you it's sooooo good so far. He has the cutest, most smothering Mom and a firm but loving Pops. Not to mention a new best friend, Rico, that loves Dani's feistiness and her bluntness. She's back but still with Tomlin, of course.
Hopefully, I can get some words down in between the beach and baseball games. Hope your June is off to an awesome start!

Summer is here!
Hopefully all you beautiful people are on summer break OR gearing up for it next week.
Ours officially kicked-off on Tuesday and I am so excited! I have a million things on my hot girl summer list, reading being at the top of the list even thought it falls to the bottom every time. Ugh.
