ARC Readers Wanted
Happy Tuesday!
We had our anthology release party on Facebook the other weekend, and it was so much fun! It was my first time participating in such an event, and we had a lot of comments and games over there. I also need ARC Readers for the anthology, sign-up is in my bio on IG.
That being said, I'm elbows deep in Bex and Kadus's story. Let me tell you, just as Travis shocked the hell out of me in Isla this couple is shocking me too. Specifically, Bex! Let's say she's going to be the dominant one in the bedroom and entirely selfish, I am learning, as their spicy scenes are starting to come out. Her approach leaves both Kadus and my head reeling, and I even say so in the book.
Be prepared because there's going to be a handcuff scene and possibly a little back-door play; I'm debating on that last one. Honestly, it's entirely Bex's style. She's wild and unpredictable, and I never know what's happening in her head half the time. To say she's writing her scenes is an understatement; I'm just a court reporter to what she thinks, feels and does!

I want your input!!!
Okay, where did April go? I feel like 30 days when by in 3 days and I don't have as much to show for it as I should. Now that we are in May, I'm up against a MAJOR deadline to get Kadus finished.
Y'all! I wrote their first semi spicy scene (oral) and let me tell you, it shocked me coming out of nowhere for one, and for two, Bex is in charge. Unlike the past Cubs I've written, Bex is taking over and calling the shots with this cub.
Which is totally fine to switch roles in the bedroom, why not and Bex's STRONG personality is just the kind of woman to do it. Plus, Kadus is immature and needs someone at the helm, even if he thinks he's got this. She's going to show him otherwise.
Ya know what might be fun...email or DM me on Instagram what spicy scenes you would like to see as a female lead and maybe I can incorporate them in. Oooooooh, yesssss!

Welcome back to the Cougar Den!
Today is bittersweet as it's my beloved mother's birthday. I lost her unexpectedly three months ago and was adrift in grief for a while. One of my favorite memories was of her pragmatic, Minnesota accent, she saw my covers and said, "No one will buy books with shirtless men on the front." Her ingrained, proper upbringing wouldn't even allow her to say the word "naked." Haha.
Bless her heart. I never did tell her that's precisely what sells books. It still makes me chuckle as I write this.
I've started writing Kadus and had a riveting discussion with my brain trust about piercings for men. Yep, that's precisely where you're thinking it is, and I had NO IDEA that so many variations existed. Haha. Google can be very graphic in their images. Needless to say, this naughty cub will have one. Now that I have researched them and pondered the logistics of rings and studs, do they tug, tear, or get caught? I'm ready to tackle this challenging anatomy feat!
And THANK YOU to all those who downloaded Hamilton for FREE last week! You really showed up and showed out with record downloads. Hopefully, you'll remain in that world, continuing with Isla, as she was my darkest and favorite book to write!

I released the first book in this series, Tomlin, 13 months ago and had no idea where this small town romance series was going to take me, and you for that matter. But it's been an amazing journey watching y'all fall in love with these strong and decisive characters across four books now.

Guess what I'm working on next!
Hold onto your hairdo because I have a new series in the works! I've been so excited about it and have been keeping it under wraps! Now that Isla is out in the world and getting rave reviews from those who like dark and disturbing romance, I decided to start another dark series.🖤 But I won't spill all the beans just yet, I'll leave you with a tantalizing hint-it's a subgenre that's been suggested by one of my avid readers, and it's something I've never explored before.
I debated on hockey, which is smoking hot right now. Billionaire, military, motorcycle, or mafia, but none really struck a cord until a reader mentioned a subgenre I'd never heard of before. I dived right in, looking up books in the category that I could devour.

ISLA is NOW AVAILBLE!!!
Ahhh, I can't believe Isla is out in the world and belongs to you now! I have to be honest. I was nervous writing this book because she has been through so much, and I didn't want to make it a book full of flashbacks.
I wanted to do her story justice by weaving in her long and complicated backstory throughout her current story so you could put yourself in her shoes when her back is against the wall.
She's so worthy of a beautiful and patient love that I wanted to give her that, but coming in at over 130L words, I couldn't make it easy. Such as real life, we make mistakes, judge people's character incorrectly, and suffer the consequences of our choices.
BUT, I promise there is a deeply emotional happily for now with a strong promise of a happily ever after. If you are looking for a dark, intense and heavy romance, this is your book!
What's next?
I started writing my modern-day retelling of a Gods and Goddesses anthology and have decided to write Hades and Persephone. It's been so much fun to write this but in true GiGi Meier style, I have to make it dark, as that seems to be what I love to write most. AND it's set in Russia. I promise there is a tie in there that will later lead to my new series, coming out this fall.
So there's your hint. Think dark, brooding Russian men. Yummy! Alright, that's all you get for now as this is Isla's show today!

Y'all, I couldn't be more excited for a book releasin to the world than this one. Isla is out to ARC readers and the feedback I'm getting is everything.
They 🖤🖤🖤 how dark her story is, the abusive past that she survived not only at the hands of her mother's boyfriend but also her time as an exploited minor with Rick.
If you read Tomlin, then you know Dani Winters took care of Rick in Isla's defense. It was a beautiful, gory scene of one woman standing up for another.
You'll get all the answers and more in this thick and spicy story that doesn't shy away from some very heavy themes, such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, and teenage runaway. But I promised in last week's email that there is a HEA❣️

Happy Tuesday!
Back into the swing of things with a brand new week and a bunch of updates!
As of yesterday, Isla is back from the line editor and now over in formatting. Yay! Let me tell you all. My developmental editor said I broke her with the plot twist, and my line editor said it made her cry.
There are some pretty intense scenes and a very steamy but artsy playroom scene. The ending is controversial but realistic. Both editors said this is one of the best books I have written, which is a HUGE compliment!
I wrote two epilogues and bonus scenes because your girl wrote over 130K words for Isla's main story. But I couldn't leave you hanging without a nice, tidy ending with a HEA bow on it.
I can't wait for y'all to read it. Eeks. Less than 2 weeks until she's out in the world and belongs to you beautiful readers!

IT'S SPRING BREAK!
It's Spring Break!
Since it's spring break in Houston, the children are off this week, and I'm in full cook, maid, and SWAT negotiator mode during their arguments. For all you parents out there, you know exactly what I mean.
That being said, I wrote one of two epilogues for Isla over the course of two days. How? I don't even know. I have a VERY steamy epilogue to write next while her story is over, with my copy editor getting grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation fixed up.
What's next? I'm taking a stab at romantsy with a Fated Mates novella anthology, coming out this fall.
After that, I'll dive back into the Cougars and Cubs Series with Kadus's book. I'm thinking of flipping the script where she's the dominant one. Let's be honest, if you read Giovanni, then you know Bex, and she bends to no man's will. Not ever! Let me know what you think about switching roles. Do you want to read about a more submissive man or would it be more fun if they battle for dominance?
