Marco Release Day!

Ah, the day is finally here, and I can't wait for you to read Marco's steamy and heartfelt instalust romance. At first, I thought Marco was going to be a hard *ss coming off more dominant, but he switched up on me, being more family oriented and supportive from day one. A couple of ARC readers called him clingy, but honestly, don't we all want a man to pursue us to the ends of the Earth, or in Victoria's case, to the ends of Miami?

I know I'd love to sit back in my feminine energy and let the masculine Marco take over. HE.DOES. Their favorite power pl*y is him fully clothed and her only wearing stilettos and make-up.

There are a couple of scenes with this dynamic in play, aside from the very public steamy scenes, which readers are LOVING!

But it's not all fun and games for them. Victoria has deep trauma that Marco doesn't shy away from. He's willing to sit in her grief while battling a surprise betrayal of his own.

Ultimately, they come together beautifully (pun intended 🤣), and the spicy epilogue is not to be missed. I also wrote a super sweet bonus chapter for my website because I wasn't ready to let them go until I gave them the final scene at the cemetery. Once you read the book, you'll need this scene to close out with completely heartfelt warmth.

Once you read the book, check out the bonus scene on my website under the Freebies section.

Last but not least. Happy New Year's Eve 🥂❣️ Whether staying in with Marco and diving into his irresistible charm and desires or heading out to paint the town red, I hope your night is filled with fun and happiness. Celebrate safely, make unforgettable memories, and toast to a 2024 filled with love, laughter, and plenty of swoon-worthy stories.

Cheers to new beginnings and happy endings! 🥂✨

Birthday week and other fun happenings

This is my birthday week. Actually, Thursday is my birthday, so I'm not having a Let's Go Live! author interview. Normally, I'm not one for birthday fan fair for myself, choosing to focus that energy on others. However, my sis, who LOVES parties and big celebrations, insisted we do something. Thus, she called up several friends, rented a car service, secured a private room at this new restaurant in the Galleria, and tickets to the Houston Symphony.

She knows how much I love classical music, so she organized everything. Last year, she rented a party bus for her birthday, went on a pub crawl, and brought the group to a drag show Christmas party in downtown Houston. It was a blast.

She's always been the more outgoing and audacious one between the two of us. It surprises most people when they find out I'm the youngest of four sisters, as I tend to be a super responsible, driven, and A-type planner, opposite the quintessential baby stereotype. I even wrote a little blog post about it. I'll include it below.

On to bookish stuff. ARC readers are loving Marco!!! He's the last cub in The Cougars and Cubs Series based in Houston. That's why it releases on 12.31.24 because it's the end of the year, the end of the series, and the end of something else that, if I share, will be spoiled to the end of Marco.

Then we're moving to Boston (not literally but cub-wise) with five rich, cocky, college-age men that ride hard and fast through the streets of Boston on their crotch rockets. I almost called this series Crotch Rocket Romance but decided otherwise. I've shared tidbits about Full Throttle with y'all, and let me tell you, I just finished their first spicy scene set outside and ON.HIS.BIKE. 🥵

It was so much fun writing that scene with y'all in mind so much that I might do another more extended version. Spoiler alert: she's wearing pants, and logistics didn't work well.

Did you grab your copy of Naughty Santa Sebastian last week? He's no doubt the funnest character to write. He's laugh-out-loud funny. The Thai food scene mixed with a little porn on the toilet made readers laugh and cringe at the same time. It's so relatable if you've ever liked someone, but the food on the date didn't agree with you!

I love writing these stories! It's so fun to explore all the different personalities and figure out what each person needs from the other, not to be whole and complete, as I believe we give that to ourselves, but to enhance, like adding sprinkles to your Christmas cupcakes. 🧁

Have you read Sebastian and Chloe's Christmas story yet?

Are y'all getting into the Christmas spirit? I've finally. Decorated the inside of the house, having been delayed by Bulldog's surgery and reorganizing the house for his recovery, finishing Marco and just life in general.

However, now I'm in full-force holiday mode, having attended the Christmas party at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts and sitting in the front row to our annual trip to the Houston Ballet's performance of the Nutcracker.

I'm also enjoying the holiday season with all the delicious Christmas-themed romance novels. My favorite is Naughty Santa Sebastian. He's an orphaned trust fund, baby, never said no, and is ALWAYS getting what he wants. He's selfish and immature until he meets Chloe . Then it's game on to change and show her the vulnerability hidden under years of pain and heartbreak from losing his parents and living in his River Oaks Mansion haunted by the ghosts of their large legacy.

But make no mistake; it's as spicy and fun as it is heartfelt and emotional. The best of both worlds!

Marco has been a hit with the ARC team so far. They love this spicy Latin couple❣️ Not only is there a bit of public spiciness, but there's also a lot more emotion and tragedy in their stories. Victoria is battling with a lot, and it spills out all over Marco, who's more than willing to dive into her grief to come out on the other side. Not only is there an epilogue for them. But I also wrote a bonus bonus scene that will go up on my website in a couple of weeks that I LOVE❣️

I'm considering offering The Cougars and Cubs Series as a box set in early 2025. What do you think? Would you love all the Cubs together in one place? Can you imagine all that hotness? 🥵 Holy Moly!

Diego and Isabella's reverse age gap story is coming along with more angst than the Cougars and Cubs Series but with all the spice of the Cubs. Trust me, these younger men don't quit until they get exactly what they want. Full Throttle, in the Bikers of Boston Series will be out in April, but I'm hoping to get it written and out faster (hopefully in February). Finger crossed.

Happy reading!

Last call for ARC readers for Marco, 5th book in the Cougars and Cubs Series 💋

I'm so excited about this month for several reasons! Marco releases on December 31, 2024 ❣️

I chose this date because it's the last book in the series, the last day of the year, and a surprise ending closes out The Cougars and Cubs Series, so perfectly related to the city it's set in, Houston. 🚀

I also wrote a bunch of bonus scenes for the Cubs that are available on my website, except Marco's, which has not been posted yet, as I want the book to be out first before posting the bonus scene. Some scenes are SPICY 🌶️ and others are sweet. However, each Cougar and Cub has their own bonus scene after the epilogues in the books.

You also get to see my new website, upcoming releases, and other snippets about me or my Reverse Age Gap world.

Speaking of continuing in the RAG world, I have a new series that some of y'all already know about and I've been hinting at for several months now. I'm currently writing the first book, Full Throttle, in the Bikers of Boston Series, which will be out in the Spring. The four-book series will be released next year. It's more spicy, delicious fun with rich, smart, cocky street bikers 🏍️ enrolled in some of those most prestigious colleges in Boston and the older women they are pursuing❣️ I can't wait for you to meet them! One being a set of twins which will be a Why Choose Wager!

Last call for ARC readers on Marco and Victoria’s sizzling, heartfelt, and deeply emotional story, which will close tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4th. If you have time to read and review during this busy holiday season, I'd LOVE to have you.

PS. Bulldog is back to his WILD ways, even while on sedation meds! His BIG personality refuses to be tamed, even though he needs to stay as still as possible for his broken leg to heal. Honestly, I can't tell that kid a thing. But tomorrow's the big day—his follow-up with the orthopedic surgeon. Fingers crossed we’ll see some good progress on his healing journey!

Need ARC Readers for Marco releasing 12.31.24

Happy Tuesday!

I need your help! Marco's story is releasing at the end of next month, and while my line editor is hard at work polishing the grammar, word choices, and punctuation, I'm focused on building my ARC team. I’d absolutely ❤️❤️❤️ for you to consider signing up to join and reading Marco early, then sharing your review!

I know this is such a busy season—especially with Marco’s release happening on New Year’s Eve. But that timing was intentional! This is the final book in the series, and it wraps up with a HUGE plot twist. Releasing it on the last day of the year felt symbolic—a way to close out the series, the year, and Marco’s own chapter in the most poetic way possible. (Yes, I’m being intentionally cryptic here! ❣️)

That said, I completely understand how hectic this time of year is—Christmas programs, office parties, holiday gatherings, decorating, and all the joy (and chaos) that the season brings.

But if you think you can carve out some time to dive into Marco and Victoria’s sizzling, heartfelt, and deeply emotional story, I’d love to have you on the team. Their journey feels especially fitting for the season, as it touches on the challenges so many of us face during the holidays—self-discovery, love, and hope.

If this sounds like a story you'd enjoy, the sign-up link is: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FA...

Thank you so much for considering! ❤️

Bulldog is having surgery tomorrow to repair his torn ligament, which has a three month recovery. Through this process, I learned from his great orthopedic surgeon that it's actually degenrative and that both knees need to be repaired. It was only a matter of time before he would/will blow both. 😭 Poor baby!!! BUT he's in excellent hands tomorrow as we do them one at a time over the course of the next 6-8 months depending on his healing journey.

THANK YOU to all you lovely people you have reached out asking about him and are keeping my furry baby in your prayers! You're the best!!!!

All the best 💋

I can't believe this is happening to my baby

Hello beautiful souls! My baby Bulldog hurt himself over the weekend. We have been in and out of the emergency vet Sunday through today for treatment and X-rays when I got the bad news this afternoon that he has the equivalent of an ACL injury in his left knee and will have to have surgery to repair it. 😭

He was in the swimming pool with us, and our dear landscaper, who Bulldog loves, came through the gate with his leaf blower. Well, they play this game every week where he bites the wind being blown at him. He's such a wild child that he leaps into the air. But this time, he landed VERY wrong. He was such a toughie; he didn't even cry when he blew out his knee. My heart breaks for him. He's going to see a specialist this week to get fitted for his custom screws and plate to repair the torn ligament. If you're a person of faith, please pray for my baby to do well in surgery and his long recovery afterward.

While I'm dealing with my fur baby, Marco sits with my lovely developmental editor before being shipped off to my copy editor and then formatted. All that to say, I'll be looking for ARC readers VERY SOON and will, of course, offer to you all first because you're loyal and love my books. THANK YOU!!!

While in the waiting room at the vet yesterday, I revised my beat sheet for my new Biker romance series launching next year. Y'all, I was literally trying to decide how many spicy scenes I should put in it. If you've read my Cougars and Cubs Series, you know I go DEEP (pun intended) on how detailed my spicy scenes are. I'm like: Do I keep them the same amount or more (never less, haha)? After figuring that out, I will be ready to write the first book in the series, hopefully, this week, once I get Bulldog's care and revised treatment plan worked out.

Here's my latest dilemma: do I write all four books in the Bikers series straight through? OR should I intersperse my new dark romance series, which starts with the anthology piece, As Fate Would Have It, Eternal Reign, which was a modern-day retelling of Hades and Persephone? I'm planning my releases for 2025 and need to decide. Let me know what you think!

Happy Halloween

About a zillion years ago, I used to dress up for Halloween and still have most of my costumes. My daughter loves to "shop" in my closet, which is about as vintage as a thrift store.

What are you planning on doing this Halloween?

Mine is much more low-key, taking the children to our neighborhood block party with trick-or-treating, food trucks, haunted houses, and movies on the lawn. After that, it winds down at 8 pm, and we're heading to my sister's, who does Halloween up right!

She's on the next level with all her animatronics, graveyard, and fog machines. Her neighborhood usually gets almost a thousand kids, so they start handing out candy at 5 pm and go almost to 10 pm. It's wild!

Whatever you do, be safe and enjoy the holiday. I'll be back next week with a bookish update.

Marco is done this week!!! Let's all say FINALLY!

Happy Taco Tuesday! I literally have chicken cooking in the crockpot while I work today for healthy tacos for dinner tonight. But the smell permeates the house, making me hungry.

Anywho, let me just say that Marco is done this week❣️ Yoohoo!!! I don't know why I was so slow in writing this book. Isla poured out of me, writing 139K words in six weeks amid my grief for losing my momma. It's probably why that is the darkest and most traumatic book I wrote. I poured my feelings into her story.

But Marco and Victoria are the right mix of sexy sweetness, and I'm having difficulty letting their story go. Page count-wise, it's my longest Cougars and Cubs Series book. So yay for y'all, boo for me because authors are told they need to write consistent page counts. Heck, if I can ever do that.

Another couple I have a tough time letting go of is Dani and Tomlin's story. That's why they have two books for one love story. Not to mention, the first book was setting up their world where you also met Hamilton, Isla, Eli and Ronnie❣️

Dani Winters is unapologetically herself, regardless of who's around and the situation. She says and does exactly what she wants, and I LOVE her for it. Tomlin Takahashi is the wealthy, 3x Olympian, famous, completely amused, and eventually entranced with Dani. Their story is a huge ENEMIES-TO-LOVERS story that doesn't hold back.

You've got to read their story, and the first book, Tomlin, is free on most major retailers!!! Happy Reading❣️

AI generated graphic blew my mind!

As I shared with you last week about losing my social media accounts and rebuilding them (Instagram and TikTok), I came across a video about AI-generated characters.

Stop the presses. I was shocked to see how these programs worked and was absolutely enthralled as I went down the rabbit hole of AI. Needless to say, there's a gigantic debate brewing on this subject in the indie book world. I even wrote a piece about it in my new blog on my website if you're interested. www.gigimeier.com/blog

I played around with it. Sometimes, it went well, and sometimes, my character had three arms. Lol. But the better I got at it, the better the images came out. I was captivated, played for hours, and even created a cool video that I posted on TikTok.

I'm not the best at creating social media content, and I don't know how much time I have to dedicate to making graphics and videos, not to mention the hot debate around using these, but dang it if they aren't really neat!

Thanks to everyone who followed me on my new socials; I appreciate it. I'm leaving the call to help up one more week and then I'll stop begging. 😂

This weekend, I didn't write much as it was the children's high school homecoming. And being in Texas, it's a HUGE deal!!! Just google Texas Homecoming, and you'll see it's wild. It's like prom but in the fall and lasts all weekend.

However, Marco will be done by the end of this weekend and will be sent to my two editors to work their magic. I'll be offering ARCs in November. Of course, you'll be the first to know!

Make this week a memorable one❣️

Much Love,
GiGi

A Pity Party Brought New Discoveries

Sigh. It's been a week! I try not to dwell on difficult things when they happen, raised with the old adage that we pick ourselves up by our bootstraps when we take a hit, dust ourselves off, and start again.

But this time was different. I lost my Instagram and Facebook accounts after being on the platforms for years. I was hacked a couple of months ago, added all the security measures both platforms offered, and then woke up one morning and they were gone. I appealed, called, and texted support, but to no avail. They are gone. Such is the perils of being subject to other's controlled platforms.

I was so sad about all the content posted, connections made, and being part of a community that I was adrift for a couple of days trying to decide what to do.

Out of my pity party, I created a new blog and added more information to my website to make it more social media-like with updates and what's to come. I'd love for you to check it out if you can.

That being said, I would really love it if you could support my rebuild on Instagram. I am also starting a new endeavor on TikTok, which should be fun and interesting, so please follow me there, too!

I also have to admit I had some unexpected damage at my home that occupied my time with various contractors coming in and out. My word count has suffered greatly, but Marco will still be released on time, hopefully earlier, if I can clear my head of my recent troubles and focus on what matters—the joy of writing and publishing stories you love!

Last but not least, in honor of Halloween, I wanted to highlight my darkest book ever, Isla! Her story is traumatic, heartwrenching, and difficult to read at some parts. Content warnings are on my website, so DON'T go in blind! There are some very troubling scenes and abuse that could be triggering if you're not prepared.

But honestly, if I'm allowed to talk behind the backs of my book babies, she's my favorite book.

Anyway, Happy Tuesday! I hope you're week is starting off on the right foot!

Much love,
GiGi
