Kadus Releases in 2 DAYS!!!

I'm soooooo excited...Kadus and Bex's story releases in 2 DAYs❣️ I can't wait for you to meet the unapologetically Bex! She's loud, wild, and chaotic, with plenty of toys both in and out of the bedroom to keep Kadus guessing.

She's unapologetically herself and won't even think about softening her edges for anyone, not her parents, not her best friend, and certainly not Kadus.

However, her disciplined and creative backstory is an interesting one...becoming catnip for Kadus, who's nothing but enthralled with her and how she lives her life. Where she's always gotten grief for it, she only finds acceptance in him. Awwww,

It's really the best, and she relishes it, as evidenced in the super spicy epilogue 🔥

Preorder now for it to pop into your reader Thursday morning, just in time for the weekend! 💋

FREE BOOKS ON SMASHWORDS

Happy Tuesday! Despite Kadus releasing in a little over a week, I wanted to remind y'all of the summer sale I'm having on all my books on Smashwords so you can load your reader! It also including my latest dark ark romance Isla. Her story is honestly the best book I have written, and it is SO DARK. (Content warning on my website: don't go in blind!)

Smash the graphic at the top of this email to take you to my page or the links in this email for both my dark romance series, The Cañon Series and my naughty instalust and fun series, Cougars and Cubs Series 💋

That said, I'm headed ✈️ to Miami for a photo shoot on the beach for my daughter after she meets with various agents. She's a Texas model looking to expand and grow into other markets. I already have Diego plotted and plan to write on the plane since I get bored and can't raw dog it like the current trend is. Plus, I want to have several chapters written before I return❣️

With the two books coming out in August (Kadus and As Fate Would Have It), I'll have two more cubs coming out this year, and then the new dark romance series. But don't worry, the Cubs will always be around. They are just too smoking hot 🥵 not too.

Anyway, be sure to check out all of my books❣️

Bikers in Boston!!!

Whew, what a week it's been! Hurricane Beryl crippled Houston's power and resources wise. After being without power for five hot and humid days, it clicked on, but unfortunately, a tree limb from my neighbor's tree crushed my outside AC unit. So, ten hours and several thousands of dollars later, I have a new unit inside and out. Luckily, I was able to bunk with my sister and finish writing the epilogue for Kadus ❣️

And let me warn y'all... it's HOT 🥵 I was like, is this too much? Am I taking it too far? I even sent it over to my editor, asking the same question. That reverse bedroom role is hitting. Alas, I'll let you readers decide if I crossed the line or not.

With Kadus  and As Fate Would Have It  done and out the door, I've been swapping ideas with my brain trust, and viola, I came up with a fresh round of CUBS, moving to a new city with a shared hobby amongst all four guys.

Drum roll please . . . Bikers in Boston 🏍️ I even have all four cub names picked out and am working on the covers as we speak. I'm so excited to dive into a new world with a fresh batch of Cougars and Cubs!

I'll give you a little preview of my first Boston cub as we wrap up the Houston cubs with Kadus releasing in 15 days!!

Hurricane Beryl and Book Update

Actually, I'm writing this Sunday night as I sit an watch round the clock coverage of Hurricane Beryl which is coming into the Houston area in approximately five hours. With most of these storms, you never know what to expect. Some are wind events, some water, and some are both. Despite this being a Category 1 hurricane, I live between two waterways, 3 houses from a creek, and 6 houses down from the bayou. It's a lovely area with trees that canopy over the road, historic homes mix with new builds and block parties occur quarterly.

However, we're still recovering from the May derecho that sent straight-line winds over 100 mph through the city in a matter of minutes and knocked out power to over 1 million Houstonians. Blue tarps dot many of my neighbors' roofs.

Needless to say, it's been a wild summer so far. Since I was without power for a week due to the derecho, I suspect I'll be without power this time, and I wanted to get this out to you!

Kadus is done and with my editor, releasing August 1, 2024❣️ I celebrated that Friday when I sent it off to her! As Fate Would Have It has been done, edited and is over with the formatter. The story turned out soooo good but a little lighter on the spice.

FREE BOOKS ON SMASHWORDS

Happy Tuesday, you beautiful souls! You're the first to know that all my books are FREE on Smashwords for the entire month of July, including my latest release, dark romance Isla. Her story is honestly the best book I have written, and it is SO DARK. (Content warning on my website: don't go in blind!)

Smash the graphic at the top of this email to take you to my page or the links in this greeting❣️

I ❤️❤️❤️ participating in these promos because it allows you the chance to try my other works for FREE to see if they are a good fit. Word of caution: The Cañon Series has MAJOR content and trigger warnings, but you will fall in love with each of these fiery and independent couples. Trust me when I say you've never read a series like this❣️

The Cougars and Cubs Series doesn't have any trigger warnings unless you call smoking hot young guys and steamy sex warning label worthy. If yes, then hold onto your hairdo because I brought the spice in that series, just like its namesake. It promises to be a hell of a good time. 😉

Check out all of my books for yourself!

Happy last week in June!

It's the last week of June, and I'm racing to complete Kadus after my editor gave me a bunch of rewrites to make their story even better.

But let me warn you: Bex is wild, and it can be hard to understand her motivation at times. It all boils down to her rebellious attitude against social norms, and don't even get me started on control. If she even smells a hint of mansplaining or male dominance, she'll slap them upside their heads and laugh the entire time.

Don't get me wrong, she loves a rowdy romp in the bedroom to forget her worries, but she doesn't think Kadus is in charge. He's not! It's all Bex's show!

Kadus releases on August 1st, just in time for a late summer vacation read 🥵 🔥

After that is Hades and Persephone's novella, Eternal Empire, a modern-day Gods and Goddesses retelling that will be released on 8.31.24.

Then two more cubs this year before the new dark series launches next year!!!

ARC Readers Wanted!

I just returned from a week of baseball in North Texas for my son's 15U travel baseball team. It was fun playing in all these small towns, with baseball stadiums that rival some colleges. They say football reigns in Texas, but baseball is a VERY close 2nd.

Anyway, I ate too much restaurant food and sweated far too much to be comfortable, but made tons of memories with the children. Listening to teenage boys talk on the way to and from games is absolutely hilarious! It's given me lots of material to use should I ever want to write a baseball romance series!

Despite clocking nearly 1200 miles of driving in a week, I was able to put the finishing touches on Hades and Persephone's story every night at the hotel. Since it's an anthology, it's only 40K words. But they have been on my mind since I sent it to the anthology line editor this weekend. I'm honestly wondering if I can let them go! I'm kicking around the idea of building on the initial 40K words, extending it into a full-length novel, and creating an entire series. (Because their story is that good!) The writing is more the depth and breadth of my dark romance series, not the light and naughty instalust of my Cougars and Cubs Series.

Anyway, Hades and Persephone are done for now so I'm back to Kadus. I sent it to my dev editor, and her feedback was, "It's a little messy." Back to the drawing board, reconstructing it and piecing it back together again. It's interesting how some books flow out of me (Hades and Persephone), and others, well, they are a struggle. I think it's because I don't know the characters as well as others. Therefore, it takes me longer to get into their head, hear their voice, and know instinctively how they will act, react, and respond.

With no more travel until July, I'm hunkering down, despite the heat and humidity of Houston, to get their story hammered out and working well before sending it back to my beloved development editor for her insights.

And one last thing...we are still accepting applicants for the Anthology ARC team if you are interested. This ARC will come out in late July, approximately a month before release, if you want to be the first to read it. There are five authors in total, and some really great stories! They are so diverse, you'll love how each of us took a God/Goddess and ran with their modern retelling!

Giovanni is FREE!!!

Happy FREE Tuesday!

It's hot already! I wonder why I don't write a hot and sticky summer romance set in Houston. Then I walk outside and realize getting intimate in this humidity is challenging. There is too much sticky skin that will tear with friction. Haha.

Just an example of the random thoughts that run through my head when constructing spicy scenes. No one wants them to be too realistic.

The good news is that Giovanni and Kacie's story is FREE until the end of the week! If you haven't read this adorable couple, they are cute, patient, kind, and romantic. This series is very much instalust, and this book doesn't quit on that, but they are just a softer, sweeter couple than Sebastian and Chloe.

As I'm finishing up Kadus and Bex's story, I wanted to give you all a chance to read Giovanni, as both of those characters will be in Kadus!

Grab your copy today and get ready for some soft dom steam! 💋

ARC Readers Wanted!

I literally have no idea where May went. It feels like it was just April, and I thought I had plenty of time to finish Kadus, yet here I am, racing down the clock to get it over to my developmental editor.

Having lost almost a week without power and internet was not exactly what I expected May to be like. Although I have both auto and homeowner's insurance claims in process, I've been very lucky that my home is still inhabitable, which is more than I can say for many houses around me.

All my focus and energy is going into finishing this VERY steamy book, so you'll read how wildly unpredictable and unapologetically her own Bex is. It's just enough disciplined chaos to keep Kadus's attention, not that Bex needs it. That rolling stone gathers no moss regardless of who's in her life!

I have two ARC reader sign-ups in my IG bio if you want to reader first for free!

Houston Storms and Writing Update

Y'all, I'm keeping this email short and sweet as I'm still without power from the unexpected thunderstorm that blew through Houston with 113 mph straight lines winds that spun off a few tornados. Although we do get massive storm systems fairly frequently, we don't have usually have Category 1 hurricane force winds that kocks out the power to 1/4 of Houston's population or over 1 million homes and business.

That being said, my home is in one of the hardest hit areas and since Houston is barely above sea level, we don't have too many structures with basements so taking shelter to avoid tornados is usually done in interior closets and bathrooms.

So, I'm ten miles away, sitting in a Starbucks enjoying a warm breakfast, borrowing their slow but helpful WiFi and basking in the cold air conditioning.

I'm trying very hard to finish up Kadus's book, but without power, my word count and productivity has suffered. But somehow I know I'll get it done because I've heard from lots of you that you can't wait to met this unconventional couple!

There is also still time to sign-up for the anthology ARC if you are interested. DM me on socials for the sign-up
