JOHANNESBURG - Former ANC spokesperson Carl Niehaus on Thursday denied saying that he is going to get a formal position in the ruling party. In an interview on Wednesday, he said he would be back at Luthuli House soon.On Thursday, he clashed with Talk Radio 702's David O’Sullivan over what he actually said. “I never said there said there was definitely a position at the ANC. I said that I am involved in the ANC and there may be chance of a formal position in the future.“It is for the ANC to discuss. Those were my exact words.”At that point, O’Sullivan played recordings of an earlier interview in which Niehaus is heard saying, “Soon, there will be a formal position.”The talk show host then asked Niehaus who offered him the position.“I leave it to the ANC to discuss that,” Niehaus insisted. The former spokesperson also denied saying he had paid up his debt. He said he made arrangements to repay the money he owes.
