Meet T!
I'm so excited to introduce my first, anonymous teen guest, T!
*throws confetti*
T sounds like such an interesting person, and I really enjoyed reading his answers to my questions. I have a great line-up of anonymous teen readers coming for you in the coming weeks, plus a surprise published author next week who has agreed to amuse us all by answering the very same questions on the teen interview. So stay tuned!
Until then, meet T!

I<3 The Orell Füssli Bookshop in Switzerland!
Just wanted to share this picture of the amazingly gorgeous display created for Prophecy by the Orell Füssli bookshop in Switzerland.
Isn't it gorgeous? Now, who's coming with me to Switzerland?!
Oh! And sometime Monday I'll be posting my first anonymous teen interview. Come back and meet T!

Not So Old Fashioned Advice – Be Who You Are?
Welcome to the first Not So Old Fashioned Advice column EVER!
I had three great questions and chose one randomly for this week's column. The others will remain in play as we add new ones, so don't worry if your question wasn't chosen this time. There's always next week!
This is how it's going to work; I'll post the questions, give my own advice, and then call for advice from my blog readers. Sometimes it's nice just to get something off your chest, you know? And it's always better to have...

Open Mic is Back!
After a holiday hiatus, the mic is back on and open! I've missed reading your writing and can't wait to see what you guys have for us this week.
You know the rules; post your 300-word-or-less poem or story excerpt for others to read and comment. Remember to comment at least one other excerpt if you post your own work. I'm introducing a Sunday cut-off from now on, because I feel badly when someone posts later on and no one's around to read it. Try to get your work up as soon as possible for...

Music, Movies, and Pandemonium
I've had so many questions about my son, Kenneth, composer of the Prophecy score, that I thought Id feature him an an interview. I can't tell you how proud I am of him – as a musician, artist, and human being.
I hope you enjoy getting to know him better!
How did you come to your love of music?
I was extremely into sports from an early age. I didn't show a hint of interest in music until I was about 15. Before that point, I had been playing baseball since I was four or five years old, and soccer...

I'm a Tease
So one of the little surprises that I kept from you in my What's-Coming-In-2010 post was that I plan to be a tease this year.
That is, I'm going to post teasers for Guardian of the Gate at random moments up until its release this summer. Those teasers might be visual, musical, or literary. But whatever they are, they'll have one thing in common;
I won't say anything about anything! You'll just get the teaser.
Your first one is as follows;

Need Advice?
This is the first call for problems, questions, or concerns of any nature for the new Not So Old Fashioned Advice Column!
Just post your questions in the comments section of this post, and I'll choose one to feature in my very first Not So Old Fashioned Advice column this Friday night. If you type in your name as "Anonymous", your question will remain totally, well, anonymous!
No topic is off-limits, and after I post the first question with my own Not So Old Fashioned advice...

Happy New Year!
Wishing you a year of Life in Technicolor.
And one full of love, happiness, great music, and of course, great movies!

Surprise!
Well, it's probably not a SURPRISE, but I do have some very cool new features for you in 2010.
First of all, I'll be continuing the Open Mic feature on Thursdays. WOOT! It's been so much fun to read your writing, and I feel honored that so many of you have been willing to share your work. We'll continue with the same format – 300 words or less and the requirement to comment at least one other entry if you post. As time passes, I may occasionally ask other authors to stop in as a Guest...
