The Sandlot, Denmark, and a Bittersweet Ending
This week's Anonymous Teen Reader is Anna! She actually chose another picture of birds in a night sky, but I couldn't get it to work, so I picked this one instead. Hope it's okay, Anna!
And I hope you guys enjoy getting to know Anna as much as I did…
I also want to let you guys know that as we get closer to the release of Guardian of the Gate, I'm going to have some new things to share. There will be a new look to my website, a Top Sekrit Prophecy Superfan program, and lots of other awesome...

There's Really No Way to Reach Me…
Feeling very low-key tonight so I thought I'd share Vienna, a very underrated song by The Fray… Hope you enjoy.

Thursday Night Write
Time for Thursday Night Write! I fell in love with this week's prompt on site and have a feeling there are lots of stories there…
And now for a rule refresher; give yourself no more than thirty minutes (don't cheat!) to write something inspired by this image. Post 500 words or less of it for comment. Be sure to comment at least one other post as well.
I also want to say thank you to Mary at Kiss My Lit for interviewing me via Skype Tuesday. Take a look-see if you want to read my rambly...

Your Next Clue…
Most of you know that a mysterious new guy joins the current Prophecy cast in Guardian of the Gate.
Your next book clue is this photo, because in my mind, Mysterious New Guy (MNG) has always looked like Tom Sturridge.
Let's just pause a moment to appreciate Tom's hotness (you can watch him in movies like Pirate Radio, Being Julia, Vanity Fair, and the upcoming Waiting for Forever)….
Sigh. Okay, I'm done.

Wizard Rock, the Food Network, and Dying Alone
Wow, I totally bailed on you guys at the end of last week. I didn't post my usual Friday movie trailer and I didn't post my Saturday Night Live. I didn't even get the chance to read your TNW posts. All I can say in my defense is that I was completely and utterly exhausted from six straight weeks of working, nose to the grindstone, on three separate projects. It was three weeks of not enough sleep, not enough downtime, and very little that wasn't within the walls of my house or on the screen o...

Thursday Night Write
You know the rules; post your 300-word excerpt for comment and leave a comment for at least one other piece.
I should be finished with my Prophecy 3 revisions by morning, will spend tomorrow celebrating my daughter's 16th Birthday, and will catch up on Open Mic comments over the weekend.
Also, please take a look at Stephanie's blog for an interview with me (and some unusual questions!) and the chance to win an amazing photograph by Heather at Fire and Ice. The photograph is...

I Miss…
Things I Miss When in Writing/Revising Frenzy;
1. Standing up.
2. Reading
3. Eating something with a fork and/or spoon rather than food I can shove in my mouth between chapters
4. Letting my mind wander to new writing ideas. NOT allowed while working on one project.
5. Wearing clothes instead of pajamas
6. Baking (especially trying new things like the scone recipes from Mundie Mom, Sophie, and Ally Beecher).
7. Listening to music with words.
8. Knowing what day it is. And what month.
9. Keeping in...

Beautiful
This is one of my all-time favorite songs. I connect with the lyrics on so many levels, and even though I hate that they have to remove the swear words to put it on YouTube (because with something like this, the language, in my opinion, isn't gratuitous but an authentic, artistic reflection of the message), it's still awesome. And the video's incredible, too.
Hope you find meaning in it, too.
And hey! Don't hate on the rap!
