Narcissism
How often have you formed an opinion based on one emotion evoked after reading, hearing, or watching something?
I'd say, most of the time. We reflect on words/images/sounds/feelings and form an opinion based on the reaction it triggers by comparing it to the biases from our accrued knowledge.
Narcissism is just that: You agree with your reflections. Is it good or bad? It is for you to judge. To me, it is what puts us in line with whoever created this world. We, as humans, are continually busy replicating organic concepts and celebrating them as intelligence. An ability to understand the mystery of our creation can only come about from a narcissistic being. From someone who wants to stand out, look at everything, understand it, then replicate to say, 'I can do it too.'
It doesn't end there. The replication has to be admired to make the inventor feel grand. In the name of humanity, inventions are promoted to carry out a more virulent agenda - profit. Any connection these inventors and investors establish is superficial and bulldozes forward without empathy for the masses or nature. It is masked under the tagline 'for the greater good.'
NPD, or narcissistic personality disorder, literally means - having a sense of grandiosity, the need for attention and admiration, superficial interpersonal relationships, and a lack of empathy. (mayoclinic.org)
By this definition, I'd say most of the humans are narcissist.
Here are two quotes from my books available on Amazon Kindle Unlimited.
“The designer of this Universe needs a narcissistic species to appreciate its arrogance. It takes one to know one. Humans are closest to The Creator."
i$UBSCRIBE
"An existence thrives on the fact that it is evolving into something better. A continual comparative analysis to give a pat on its back for its achievements. Bloating with fame by strengthening the ideas that feed its narcissism."

Dreams
It is scientifically proven that we all dream at night, every night. Dreaming is an imaginary state that we many times remember vividly; other times, it is a blur. I had never given much thought to dreaming until recently. I woke up after dreaming about something horrendous. Now, I never wake up from a dream and scream in the middle of the night. But. That night, I did. And it surprised me.
What surprised me further was when I tried to recount it to my husband. I felt it was never sequential when I was in the dream state. And I was forcefully putting it tangibly so it would make sense. Another baffling thing I noticed was that it was colorless. When I was recalling it, I was painting it with colors.
Therefore, a dream is an extension of our thoughts minus the sensory perception. If our dreams are powerful enough, thought demands a reaction from our body to validate it. This step forces input from our bodily senses. And that is when we start organizing it as a sequential event with colors and feelings, converting it into an experience. Until then, a dream is one singular event that would get blurred and eventually deleted without being rendered as an active memory. That's why we don't remember most of what we dream about.
Here is a totally bizarro metaphysical take of mine - Dreams are a parallel reality, a memory that overlaps from our concurrent existence.
If you enjoyed this, read Yama Echo Maya.
Here is an excerpt to sample the book:
"One can never see color while dreaming or even with closed eyes. Sense of color is memorized expression. We must continually force thought-infused impressions to paint colors if our eyes are closed or when imagining. Dreams are always black and white. None and All."

Escape
Happy New Year!
Organizing our lives based on the artificial idea of ‘time’ tells me it is 2024. New Year, as per the Gregorian calendar, has no planetary significance. Many other calendars have a more meaningful context concerning us when marking the new year. A Lunar Calendar is controversially known to be a practice that is more than 30,000 years old. Definitely, 8,000 BC old for sure! It interferes with our mood due to the moon’s gravitational impact on water; the human body is 60% water. This calendar dates seasons, clueing farmers on sowing/harvesting crops.
No matter which calendars you follow, we unsurprisingly conform to ideas like clockwork. Predictability gives us respite from the unknown future we can't foretell.
A new year is not the only thing we mutually recognize as a normal shift. Our perception of change has boxed our lives, and we adhere to this made-up tracker called time. Our curiosity for life is tied to the fact that we have limited time. We follow a routine to ensure a positive outcome. We attach deadlines to our aspirations to accommodate as much as possible before we run out of time. Increasingly pushing ourselves forces us to find outlets to recharge ourselves with milestones/holidays by associating them with happiness. Some spend needlessly on weddings, birthdays, promotions, getting into a reputed college, securing a job, etc., to draw happiness.
Aren’t these the things that further chains us? They set the foundation for higher expectations. A cutoff date tied to them could be tethering and their successful completion unshackling - ‘successful’ being the operative word. Goals are thus a means to be an accomplished citizen of our society. On the grounds that we never only have one goal, many things run in parallel, keeping us busier than the day before. That’s why we celebrate little happiness in between to keep ourselves sane.
To me, any celebration is an escape. An outlet to feel we still have some freedom from the regular rhythm of time that chains us.
If you enjoyed reading this blog, you will appreciate the song ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ by Katy Perry in a new light.
My series All Kaal None gives a different perspective on time. Consider reading it - ALL KAAL NONE - SAC OF SURPÄS Part 1

God
I can't remember when the concept of God was introduced to me. Do you?
As a child, I would see my grandmother praying diligently in the mornings and in the evenings. She would shower and wear clean clothes every day before this ritual.
To me ritual is an imposition, a habit. It has nothing to do with our faith in the idea of God. Yet we carry on with them as they have become a part of us.
I believe that complete surrender is the only way to manifest anything. Even something as imperceptible as the concept of God. Sure, our interpretation of God is as per our conditioning and upbringing. It clearly differs from many others. Not many question their own selves when conforming to a belief system. So what? It is your reality. Your truth. Your faith. After all, someone or something created the world we live in.
Here are three quotes from my books.
ALL KAAL NONE - KĀMA TRYAMBAKA
"Anything created by anyone is part of the creation. So, this concept of God is as real as it is to the perceiver."
i$UBSCRIBE.
"Belief is signing up to be a part of an organization. Imprisonment of reality to some evidence or data, especially scientific belief. Religious belief is unsighted – true submission.”
Ace Umbra
"Even though, as energy, I would be free to traverse anywhere in the darkness of the creator’s desire, my vanity compels me to turn into matter. Incomplete surrender to either state makes me anxious. I refuse to accept that energy and matter are two sides of the same coin. They are a part of me. They are one with me."

Mandela Effect
Have you felt about an event happening strongly and yet it didn't?
When I was young, I remember my father discussing about a famous Bollywood supporting actress's death (Helen). About two decades later, we saw her starring in a movie. I teased my father about spreading rumors. Although he smiled, he couldn't believe it.
Recently, I noticed the sign of Target store (in US) is different. I was unsure if their logo has changed, or I don't remember it correctly. So, I showed it to my husband, and he too can see a difference. Now I am not alone. There are many who see a slight shift in reality every day and dismiss it as their bad or memory issue.
Is it simply our memory deceiving us?
I believe it is memory overlap... from a parallel reality.
Quantum science says that we exist simultaneously in many parallels. However, as matter we are only one. And so, it is plausible for our memories to interconnect every now and then, changing the past event while moving forward.
If this intrigues you, read my book Ace Umbra. It theorizes how a past can be manipulated in the future even when it has happened.
Here is a quote from this book:
"Time is not sequential unless the experiences are entered as memory in a blockchain. A previously stored incident that validates the present makes it all coherent."

What is human?
Being human is one of those things that we understand and agree on, yet we hold different meanings. There is no one definition for it, varying from language and biology perspective. There is one that says a human is distinguished from other species and aliens. So, are we as humans the same? When you ask someone, they feel they are unique. In fact, we teach our children that we are. Are we, though?
If being curious is human, why are we not curious about other religions, races, and cultures? If being wise is human, then what of the ones with low IQs? If being social is human, why are we resorting to virtual interaction? If being compassionate is human, where is our compassion for the ones against us or even slightly different from us?
Do we realize that humans are the most dangerous species on Earth? We can claim to be emotional but draw lines to only choose what makes us feel good. It is true even when we are doing something for others. If you separate the mind-driven qualities/needs from yourself, you will realize that none of what you call human is valid for the body you live in. Our reactions are mechanical. We generate acceptance/rejection in a given moment constantly based on what ideas we identify as currently.
I believe being human is dualism. We live in polarity but believe in equality while defending our strong desire to be more than the others. We don’t exist unless we are separate from the ones around us.
I will end with two quotes.
“There is a chasmic disparity between tolerating and not being aware of the difference.” - PB Flower (Taken from i$UBSCRIBE)
“Division is the basis of existence, yet we fight for oneness.” – PB Flower (Taken from Ace Umbra)

Time Travel
Why do we want to time travel? Mostly, it is to fix the mistakes we or another person made. Here is a quote from i$UBSCRIBE; “You’re here now. Don’t make any mistakes.”
Can we, though? Mistakes are a necessary part of the learning process.
We know time is a made-up concept to measure the stretch we feel is passing us by. The progression of time is inevitable, like death, and doesn’t stop with death. It is a movement that is seemingly unidirectional. Yet many of us want to go back and change our elapsed lives. Quantum science says it is impossible to time travel or even cross spatial distance at or more than the speed of light as matter. That includes our body and any material we use to build spacecrafts.
If only we lived in a simulation, time travel would be as easy as changing its program, imparting favorable memories about the past. Someday, someone will crack the code; until then, there is no harm in lucid dreaming about it.

Destiny or Distraction?
We are often told to follow our destiny and stay away from distractions. I feel inversely.
Let's understand what distraction is first.
In simple terms, it is what diverts your attention. Hold on to it; we will revisit this soon.
What is destiny? By definition, it is your predetermined destination by fate or whoever. It could be you also.
To me, distraction is life, and destiny is death. Life is unpredictable and a constant struggle. Death is the ultimate and absolute goal. And so, a distraction is what is meant to keep you away from death. We trade battling with forces to avoid resting in peace because distraction is luring, and destiny is concluding. Life is beautiful. Don't divert your attention. Let distractions guide you until destiny overrides them.
I will end with a quote from my series, All Kaal None.
"Distraction is the best way to win a war without any weapons. Or delay its use in the least." - PB Flower

Morality
“Man's problem is basically the moral dilemma. Questioning your actions before and after!”
— UG Krishnamurti
Are you a victim of an immoral conduct?
If yes, please walk away. Unless you are ready for a raw and abstract take on the subject.
What is morality?
For many of us it is a score card that keeps us principled. We constantly validate ourselves against the status quo to keep in check and to feel above others. Or perhaps, feel like the others.
Why do we rebel against the societal and religious stigmas around morality?
To me, it a struggle between artificial conditioning and native proclivities. Native is always stronger than artificial. Yet society and religion compel us to follow a moral code for peace and mutual benefit, not love. The damage at the individual level is not a concern for either as it is an individual concept. And the general population is only concerned as it is to get entertained, feel good about not being the one on the receiving end, and be proud of occupying the moral high ground.
So, what does morality mean to you?
To me it is subjective and self-serving. And the more like-minded people you find, your subjectivity strengthens.
Remember, we do what we want to do or avoid doing it by using morality to validate our action or inaction. And so, morality will help you blend in, unless you have other credentials to override that misstep. As I said, we carry a score card, and if your moral indiscretion is lower than your overall score, you will still be accepted. Proof is in the pudding. Google the highly successful people and see if they have been unfaithful. We make exceptions to suit our fancy.
I would like to end with a quote from my series All Kaal None.
“Being virtuous is no different than immoral. You are still holding on to an idea too dearly.”
– PB Flower

Seize the need to speak
In my book ALL KAAL NONE
two main characters are debating on the need to speak. One of them is not human and puts feeling above all.
---***---
“Why? Do you not see it in my eyes or my actions? Speech is a wheelchair. Limited expression. Too many ways to say what you feel. It loses its meaning. Our feelings are superior.” Ekluvya informed her.
“How so?”
“Anything you say has meaning when it has feelings in your voice and your eyes, your actions. Otherwise, it is just words.”
“I get it. Feelings are what gives our words some meaning.”
“Yes. If you can feel, then why speak?”
“Should we mute everyone?” Zeenat said, grinning.
“If I had that remote, I would.”
