The Heart of the Matter

You search for answers far and wide, when all the answers lie inside.  One who does not yet understand the nature of the soul would question such a statement.  “I have limited knowledge,” they would protest.  “I have not yet learned all there is to learn.”  The latter is true for all beings, but an awakened being—one who has realized that there is a greater aspect to the self—realizes that consciousness is one continuous web.  There is only one Mind, and that Mind is within you.  With that awareness, you need only tune in to the greater aspect of Self and ask for answers, ask to be guided.

The answers lie within.  Within your brain?  Certainly not.  That is an instrument of Consciousness—quite a fine instrument, but not the main instrument of perception.  Long after the brain no longer functions you will go on existing and perceiving through your heart … the one that does not beat, but that feels and knows Truth.  All answers lie inside.  Inside what?  The Heart of the soul.

Sleepy

It is nigh unto impossible to remain in a spiritually-awakened state at all moments of the day.  This is because you have years and years of programming and habitual actions to overcome.  Once awakened, most choose not to go back to sleep, but it is part of life on earth to sleep—part of the plan.  Each time you open your eyes, you experience something different and are given growth opportunities.

Have you ever watched a dog at rest?  His eyes may be open, but slowly, slowly they begin to close.  “There he goes,” you say, and once again he is slumbering, off and on throughout the day.  All creatures are like this—experiencing moments of awakening mixed with sleep.  Your spiritual path is the same.  Do not berate yourself for drifting back to sleep once you have tasted the awakened state.  Simply aim to be awake as much as needed for your soul’s growth.  There is much to experience and learn whilst awake.

Without Resistance

When you are in the presence of one who is displaying less than optimal behavior, how do you react?  Do you withdraw and seethe or squirm, or do you go on the attack, responding with aggression?  Within the body, cells do not see good or bad, they simply seek balance—homeostasis.  When in the presence of one who is out of balance, there is no need for fighting.  Simply surround that one with love, seeking balance.  If your resistance is down, you may lash out, withdraw, or display some other behavior which only adds to the imbalance.  In such a case, picture the cells of the body, which innately know what to do.  Simply be love, and within your own system balance will be restored.

That Glow

She was such a bright light, and so was he.  And now it seems that light has gone out.  Certainly it is gone from your presence, but what remains?  A glow in your heart.  That is the part of your loved one that can never be extinguished.  While you remain in human form you may no longer see their eyes or touch their skin with yours, but you can feel that glow any time you bring them to mind.  Yes, there is an ache there in the heart, for the glow was so strong.  It remains so.  Know that they live on, not just in your memories, but as close as your breath.

The light never goes out.  There can be no death of light, only perceived darkness.  Light is Light.  Open your heart and dive in until both of your lights are fully aware that there is naught but Light, naught but Love, which can never be separated.

All in All

[image error] This little blue marble upon which you find yourself is but a speck among billions.  You are a speck among billions of others living upon that speck.  Within you are billions of cells.  Are any of them vying for importance, or simply fulfilling their purpose?  Why is it so different with humans?  For you are far more sentient, far more conscious of your consciousness.  What will you do with the awareness that you are, and that cells are, and that planets are, and that in the grand scheme of things the All is in the small, and the small is in the All?

If you truly understand the importance of this last statement, the profundity of it, you would drop to your knees and bless every flower, every twig, every mountain and every molehill.  Instead, so many go to great lengths to make the self feel better.  That is simply ego at work.  It comes with the higher consciousness package as a sort of self-regulating system.  It is programmed to make you believe that you are running the show, and you can run the show … for a little while … until you realize that something is missing.  What is it?

It is the connection with all of the other cells, without which you would not exist.  You are part of the All.  An integral part, for sure, but no more or less important than any other aspect of creation.  You are gifted with sentience—with the conscious awareness of I AM.  Such a gift.  What will you do with that awareness?

Gone Native

You all walk in two worlds at once—the physical and non-physical—as human and spirit, but most do not realize it.  This is by design.  If you all remembered that at birth you entered here fully divine and fully human, where would be the learning and the soul growth?  And so, gradually you forgot.  Within a few years after your birth, by imitation and by being told how to think and act, you had “gone native.”  This is what happens at times to prisoners in a foreign land, Can you appreciate the analogy?  The language, actions, and ultimately the thoughts transfer to those of the new surroundings, but always, somewhere back in the memories, is the remembrance of home.

The soul has not forgotten.  Your true Home is more than a memory.  It still lies within, but many of you have gone native.  Balancing Home and spirit is as easy as acknowledging the stirring in your heart.

Noticed

No act of kindness goes unnoticed, nor does any act of cruelty.  All actions, just as all thoughts, are registered in your soul’s signature.  Who are you?  You are not your labels, your possessions, or your position.  You are spirit—a soul whose underlying essence is love.  Every thought you have, every action you take either adds to or detracts from the quality of your consciousness.  The sum total of these pluses and minuses is the quality of consciousness the soul carries now and at the time of your passing through the veil.  This is why you are here—to take back a higher quality of consciousness than that with which you arrived into form as a babe.  This is why no acts go unnoticed.

This is not meant to add pressure to you.  The soul already knows this.  It is why you are so pulled toward love and why there is an uncomfortable feeling when your thoughts and actions are out of alignment with your true Self.  It is a self-regulating system.  Merely tune in to your heart and you will stay on track to fulfill your soul’s purpose.

Only One Answer

And so you have had an argument with one you love.  Angry words were shared.  You have turned your back, and now your teeth are gritting, your jaw clenched.  If this is how your physical body reacts, what of the heart?  In a metaphysical way it is clenched as well.  Oh, so unhealthy on multiple levels.  You have dug in now with ego intent on holding its position at all costs.  And what is the cost?  The love is not flowing freely.  This is a most unnatural state, most unhealthy, unbalanced, and uncomfortable.

You can blame the other all you like.  Ego likes that.  Or you can ask yourself, “What do I have to learn from this?  How can I get the love flowing again?”  The answer to the latter is always the same:  by transcending the “me vs. you” mentality and seeing from the single “I” of Spirit that all that matters is love.  We repeat:  All that matters is love.

Right or wrong, blame, and judgment are irrelevant at the level of Oneness.  Here or there, there is only one answer.  You find peace through Love.

The Single Eye

Judgment.  You look upon another’s words, actions, appearance, and other attributes and put them on a relative scale in comparison to your own.  And then you give that other a thumbs up or a thumbs down, and in so doing, you feel better or worse.  It is all about comparison to evoke a sense of separation in yourself.  Can you see how insidious ego is?  This comparison happens so easily, so automatically, that you barely notice.

Do you really need to feel separate and superior?  If you answer to ego you do.  If you answer to Spirit you do not.  Most everything you judge in another you have either thought or done yourself or may secretly like to do.  Why?  Because all are human.  We do not judge you for judging.  We merely nudge you every so often in the direction of awakening to ego’s tricks and how he is at work in you.

There is quite a difference between observing and judging.  Open your eyes a bit more today … your spirit eyes … and when they becomes single, you will no longer judge.
