On This Christmas

On this day a child was born … a gift to the world.  It matters not your belief system.  This child grew to be a man who modeled loving-kindness, acceptance, and forgiveness.  You could all use such a model today, could you not?  Such a soul lives within you with the self-same traits.  Will you be a model of such in the coming year?  We celebrate your birthday every day, wishing you the gift of awakening to your gifts.  Be that which you are.  Come to know yourself as a Christ—one with God, Love itself.  Now that is cause for celebration.  Happy birthday to Jesus the Christ and to the Christ within you.

No Regrets

When you have regrets, go back to the point when you made your decision.  Recreate that moment.  Step into it.  What was your heart telling you?  Feel it now.  How did it feel?  Can you feel the tightness that radiates to the gut?  And you ignored it, did you not?  If you cannot feel that tightness as you go back in time, then travel up to your head.  Your thoughts were racing, were they not?  There was great excitement, causing hormones to flood your system and overcome the heart’s built-in advisory system.

Ah yes, regrets.  All can be traced back to ignoring the body’s built-in advisor, which is intimately connected to the soul.  The soul is always willing to advise you if you will only stop and listen.  But then, once you listen, you then must decide whose guidance to follow, the lower self or the higher. 
What wise teachers you have!  If you wish to have no regrets, be a good student.  Listen to your teachers and do as they say.

Sun and Rain

Rain falls.  There is no other way.  It is part of the weather cycles you experience.  And after the rain, of course, comes the sunshine.  Some areas of your planet receive far more rainfall than others, but still it cycles.

Into every life rain falls; for some more than others.  And onto every life the sun shines.  You may be going through a period of rain now, but eventually the sun will shine again.  Weather the storms.  For some they last longer than for others.  With will, intention, and desire you can move from the rain forest to the sun-drenched beaches, but even there the rains do eventually come.  No one is immune from rain, so accept this integral part of your earth experience with understanding and your time there will be far easier.

Who Me?

Humans are quite amusing.  You project your problems and unwanted traits onto others.  You are quite good at pointing at another and pointing out their faults without admitting that you do the same thing quite often.  You will argue that this is not so, for you are human.  Humans do not like to take responsibility for those aspects that could use a bit of polishing.  But here is the key:  Yes, you are human, but there is a part of you that is quite a bit more polished—a part that shines and twinkles if you will set it free.

The next time you point a finger at another human, say instead, “There they are, acting human just as I AM.  May the latter two words give you pause, and in that pause find it within your Self to rise above your humanness and change that within yourself which you feel need to criticize.

With Understanding

Perspective is everything.  Do you realize that a person’s anger and cruelty are a result of their pain?  And what is the cause of that pain?  The great distance or disconnection from their true self … from Love.  Those in pain may be the last to admit this, for many have buried their past hurts so deeply that they know nothing but anger or cruelty.  Those who know love can often not conceive of what it is like to know not love and to have been treated brutally.  Imagine such a situation when all one has experienced is darkness.  Now surround the one in that situation with light.  That is compassion.  It is born of empathy.

Return not anger with anger, but with understanding and love.  Yes, deal with inappropriate actions appropriately, but infuse the situation with what is missing … with love.

Perfect!

Perfection … such a limiting word.  Perfection is part of your world of duality, for in your mind it has an opposite.  Perfection, therefore, boxes you in.  How do you know what perfection is?  This is a human concept.  What if you saw all as perfect?  Yes, we know that in so doing you are giving definition to the word, but try to feel perfection without defining it. 

Perfection is a state of mind.  Can you be satisfied knowing you have done your best?  That is perfection.  Feel that.  Can you be at peace when a thing does not look or turn out as you wish?  Ah, perfection.  Let go of rules and concepts and know that all is in perfect order all the time.  That is perfection.

Modeling

Is Santa Claus real?  Yes, quite real.  As real as you are.  He exists as a concept, an entity in Consciousness, the One Mind, and you carry out his actions, do you not, giving gifts and bringing smiles.  Is the Christ real?  Yes, as real as you are, and you carry out his actions, do you not, playing the role of the Comforter and modeling loving kindness.  Is Buddha real?  Yes, as real as you are, and you carry out his thoughts and actions, do you not, bringing peace to those around you. 

Forms of Consciousness do not need physical form to be “real.”  They may have walked the earth or they may never have existed in human form, but because they are held in Consciousness as distinct “forms” they live on in yourconsciousness.  All is a play of the Mind, and you have the great honor—and if you choose to see it this way—the great responsibility to carry out the legacy of those who truly modeled Love, to be their model in human form.  Your choices are limitless.  Who will you model today?

Making Every Moment Count

Why is it that you do exercises and rush through them? Are you simply trying to get them over with?  Why do them at all?  In doing a thing quickly and shoddily you barely reap the benefits.  We use this as an example, but it applies so much to human nature in general.  You go to great effort to start an activity, and then you shift your focus elsewhere or do not apply yourself fully.  The result is less than optimal.

If you are going to do a thing, be with it.  Notice how often ego tries to distract you, keeping you always seeking greater pleasure, when the greatest pleasure is simply being.

One Thought at a Time

All that you see is an expression of God ... of Spirit … of Consciousness.  How could it be any other way when there is none other than God?  You do not resonate with what you see?  Could it be a use of free will gone awry?  Could it be a lesser evolved soul still learning?  Somewhere in all that you see can you find the Divine?  Start with yourself.

There is no-thing that did not originate in Spirit.  No-thing is truly real in the sense that you know it.  All is a projection of Consciousness—the Mind of God, as are you.  What are you projecting?  What have you called into your consciousness and for what reason?  Are you not at peace?  Claim your divinity and call unto you the full power that is yours to change it, one thought at a time.
