What mess(es) do you need to clean up?

Some messes do not clean up easily, especially big ones. A mass cleanup came with Adam and Eve's disobedience(see Genesis 3); and it came with a price, "the blood of Jesus, [God's] son, [to purify] us from all sin" (1 John 1:7). So, if you find yourself in a mess that you cannot clean it up on your own, might you seek a clean up crew that is willing to help you. #OwnIt & #CleanItUp

How well do you know yourself? & How well would you like to know yourself?

To know yourself is to know God. For He has "searched" (Psalm 139:1) and explored everything there is to know about you he can understand your every thought, word and action (see 139:2-5). So, if you really want to know yourself, might you ask Him to “search [you]...and know [your] heart; [to] test [you] and know [your] anxious thoughts. [And] see if there is any offensive way in [you], and lead [you] in the way everlasting” (139:23-24). #FearfullyAndWonderfullyMade

What kind of reputation have you built for yourself?

Reputation is everything; and validated through both words and actions. Those with a good reputation are "self-controlled" (Titus 2:6) and "show integrity ...and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned" (2:7-8); and those who do not are not and will not. So, if you care enough about your name, might you "let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). #HonorAndRespectYourself #Others & #Him

How loyal and reliable are you?

"Trustworthy" and "neither corrupt or negligent" (Daniel 6:4) was Daniel; and for being so, was appointed, by "Darius" to "rule throughout the kingdom" (6:1). Unfortunately, because of his beliefs, other leaders had David "thrown into the lions' den" (6:7). Despite the dire situation, Daniel remained faithful and true, and “got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to...God, just as he had done before” (6:10); and for doing so, God "rescued Daniel" (6:27). So, whatever your circumstance, might you remember Daniel's character, always grateful and thankful and honorable and dependable. #TrueCharacter

How do you handle being treated unfairly?

Life is unfair; and knowing unfairness more than most was Job. After losing everything, Job "took God to court" (Job 9:3 NLT), "[argued his] case" (13:3 NLT), and, then, told God to "withdraw [his] hand far from [him], and stop frightening [him]" (13:21). In time, God restored certain things that Job had lost; and Job, also, understood why he lost--"things too wonderful for [him] to know" (42:3). So, instead of trying to place blame for incurred injustices, might you remember that there is a reason for everything and a time and place for the answers to reveal themselves. #TimeWillTell

What undeserved blessings do you receive?

Every day requires forgiveness; and due to the promise He made to Abraham (see Micah 7:20), He continues to "pardon sin and forgives" (7:18). So, might you find a moment, today, and hopefully each day moving forward, and remember who it is that continues to bless you. #GiveThanks #HappyThanksgiving

How bright is your life?

It is just as hard to see in the light as it is in the dark, especially when life is not going so well; and in order to get the lights turned back on John encourages you to walk in His light where "there is no darkness at all" (1 John 1:5). For "whoever follows [him] will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8:12). So, if you are having a hard time seeing and need your lights back on, might you consider seeking "the light of the world" (8:12) to help you do so. #NeverDark & #AlwaysWellLit

What partnerships are worth pursuing and wise to have?

Partnerships are not one-sided; and if they are they are not worth having, as partners work together and share the load. In order to be able to feed and clean up after "five thousand" (Mark 6:44) people, Jesus needed help and sought assistance from his disciples. The disciples assisted and successfully distributed the "five loaves and the two fish" (6:41) to "groups of hundreds and fifties" (6:40). So, if ever in need of assistance, might you consider partnering with someone who you can always rely on and help you with anything as long as you do your part. #ALifeLongPartnership

How do you remain grateful and thankful during difficult seasons?

Some seasons are harder than others to find a reason to be thankful and grateful. Fortunately, all seasons are temporary; and helping you get through them all, even the tough ones, is Psalm. You are encouraged to know that "the Lord is good and his love endures forever; [and] his faithfulness continues through all generations" (100:5). So, as you move forward in to this season and the next, might you remember that you can always find at least one reason, and that is to "give thanks to [God] and praise his name" (100:4). #AGoodReason to #GiveThanksInAllSeasons

What needs work?

There is always work to be done, as there are many ways to be and do things better. Helping you to work through your imperfections, aka being human, is 2 Peter. Peter advises you to "make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love” (1:5-7); and when you do, “you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (1:11). So, might you consider putting in the necessary work and see what happens. #WorkInProgress
