How can you help build and/or rebuild relationships?

Diversity and division blanket the world and have since the beginning of time. Early on, the people of Babel wanted to "build [themselves] a city and a tower with its top in the heavens [in order to] "make a name for [themselves]" (Genesis 11:4); and for wanting to do so, The Lord put a stop to the idea, as He created a world to unite all people not divide them, no matter the diversity. So, if you want to create and build relationships, might you consider removing the barriers that are getting in the way. #Cultivate &/Or #Restore & #UniteDifferences

How do you process your thoughts?

The mind is a fragile yet very powerful tool, and what you do with it is greatly influenced by the people you are around and the information that you ingest. Offering to help you process your thoughts and make good decisions is Isaiah. Isaiah shares and strongly believes that when "those whose minds are steadfast", "[He] will keep [them] in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). So, if you want to be able to think clearly and cohesively, might you "trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal" (26:4). #AGoodMindset

What is required of you?

Many want to lead yet do not want to do the work that is required to do so. Asking that her "two sons" be granted seats, one at the "right" and the other at the "left in [God's] kingdom" (Matthew 20:21) was the mother of James and John, Jesus's disciples. After being approached with such a request, Jesus replied to her by saying that to "exercise authority" over "high officials" is not the way to go about getting something (20:25). Instead, it is "whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant" (Matthew 20:26). So, if you want to lead and "become great", might you consider taking the time to get dirty, do the work and earn it the right way, the not easy way.

How do you utilize your time?

Every second, minute and hour is precious and numbered; and reminding you and I how much is Paul. Paul encourages you to "be very careful how you live" and "not live like those who are not wise, but [to] live wisely" (Ephesians 5:15) and "use every chance you have for doing good, because these are evil times" (5:16). So, with this being said, might you consider taking Paul's wise instruction and "not be foolish but learn what the Lord wants you to do" (5:17). For when you do, He will make every day you have remaining worth it. #NeverTakeItForGranted & #UseItWell

How do you handle your conversations?

It can be hard to navigate conversations, at times, due to a highly volatile and sensitive society. Trying to bait Jesus were the Pharisees, who were religious, and the Herodians, who were political, as they approached him by asking: “Is it lawful to pay taxes to Casear, or not?” (Mark 12:14). Instead of being played, He wisely responded with “Why are you trying to trap me?” (12:15); and then proceeded to ask for “a denarius” (12:15), and queried “Whose image is this?” (12:16). They both replied, “Casear’s” (12:16). With this, Jesus wisely finished the divisive and deceptive conversation by saying: “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s” (12:17). So, if you are ever put in to an uncomfortable conversation, might you remember to choose your words very carefully, like Jesus did, or remove yourself from the conversation all together. #ThinkBeforeYouSpeak OR #DontSpeakAtAll❤️

What awaits you?

A promise is a promise; and He does not just make them to break them; but He does only fulfill them when He deems they are rightfully earned. For in those quiet and still, even painful moments, He shows you what you need to see and do to make those corrections, just as He did with the Israelites for their unfaithfulness to Him (see Isaiah 3:1-4:1). So, until "that day", might you consider using the silent moments to correct, reset and restore. For when it is time for His promise to be fulfilled "the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious"(4:2). #RemainFaithful & #ContinueDoingTheWork

Daily Meditation of A Nurse Warrior

When do you pray?...morning, noon or night
How do you pray?...in your head, heart or out loud
How often do you pray?...once a year or twenty times a day
Why do you pray?...to ask for help, give thanks or share your feelings
Where do you pray? ...at home, in your car or at work
What do you pray for? ....for guidance, protection or strength
Whom do you pray for?...yourself or others

There is no right or wrong way to pray; and when you do "do not be not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). So, however, whenever or for whatever, might you "pray continually" (1 Thessalonians 5:17). #GiveItToGod & #SeeWhatHeDoesWithThem

What baggage do you need to unload?

Carrying excess baggage will weigh you down, if not cripple you, unless you do something to alleviate or remove it. Taking many years to forgive and reconcile was Esau forgiving his brother, Jacob, for taking his "birthright" and "blessing" (Genesis 27:36 NIV); and when he did he "embraced him" (33:4). So, if you are carrying something heavy and need to unload it, might you, too, consider finding, in your own way and time, a way to forgive or reconcile, so that you can move forward with a clear conscious, healthier body and peaceful soul. #UnloadIt & #FreeYourself

What do you need clarified?

Knowing everything is impossible and thinking that you do can create a great deal of embarrassment. Fortunately, knowing his limitations was Nicodemus, as he was struggling to understanding what it meant to be born again. In order to gain a better understanding, he went directly to who could tell him, Jesus, and ask Him what he meant. Jesus explained that in order to "be born again" (John 3:7), he, Nicodemus, needed to be "born of water and the Spirit" (3:5). So, if you do not understand what something means, and need clarification, like Nicodemus, might you, too, consider reaching out to someone that can give you the answers that you seek and avoid any uncomfortable interactions. #NeverTooProudToAskForHelp

How do you make the most of what you have been given?

Everyone lives in an "earthly tent" (2 Corinthians 5:1) and while living in it, momentarily (see 1 John 2:17), you will “groan and [be] burdened” (2 Corinthians 5:4). But, while you are here, "whether...at home in the body or away from it", "[your] goal is to please [him]" (5:9); and when you do, He will give you the tools and resources that you need to face all of the struggles and troubles that come with your temporary residence while you await a more stable and permanent one. So, might you make the most of what you have and do so in such a way that you have earned the privilege of living in "a heavenly dwelling" (5:4) without the frustrations or difficulties. #UseWhatYouHave & #MakeItWork
