ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's

What recognition do you seek?

Depending on what kind you seek, there will always be a price that goes along with it. Trying to make His way in this world so that all would recognize Him was God, as He made his presence known "through the prophets" (Hebrews 1:1) and by sending "a son, whom he loved" (Mark 12:6) and later on became "the stone the builders rejected" (12:10). And, even to this day, He continues to work on being known through His Word. So, if you, too, seek to be seen and known, might you look to The One who chose to pay dearly because he loves, values and appreciates you. #ForTheRightReasons

ANW's Tuesday Takeaways

ANW's Tuesday Takeaways

What has resulted from your trials?

Trials will either make or break you, as you will be tested by failure, people, and setbacks, even your faith. Also faced with trials was the Early Church; and warning them was Peter, as he told them to "not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on to test you" (1 Peter 4:12); but, to also "rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ so that you maybe overjoyed when his glory is revealed" (4:13). So, in any trial, know that "you are blessed", because "the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you" (4:14). #BuildingStrength #Perseverance #Resilience & #Character

ANW's Meaningful Mondays

ANW's Meaningful Mondays

How do you fight unfairness and get justice?

Necessary, and never easy, is seeking justice. For hundreds of years, Israelites were treated unjustly. And, after having seen "the misery of [his] people in Egypt" (Exodus 3:7) and "[hearing] them crying out because of their slaver drivers" (3:7), the Lord, "concerned about their suffering" (3:7) sent Moses to lead and "bring [his] people...out of Egypt" (3:10). So, if faced with unfairness and seeking justice, might you consider asking for His help as he is a "refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble" (Psalm 9:9). #RectifyingWrongs❤️

How long can you bear fruit?

Age has no limits and does not define you. In fact, aging brings much more to the table, a smorgasbord, that is filled with knowledge, wisdom, established relationships, and so much more. So, if age is what is holding you back, might you think again, because you can "still bear fruit in old age" (Psalm 92:14) and “flourish like a palm tree” and "grow like a cedar of Lebanon” (92:12). #AgeIsOnlyANumber & #WithTimeTheSweeterItGets

ANW's Soulful Saturdays

What are you willing to sacrifice?

To love and believe in something so much and be willing to give up everything is sacrifice; and knowing this better than anyone is God, as he offered up his only son "who had no sin to be sin for [you]" (2 Corinthians 5:21). So, as you consider what it is to truly sacrifice, might you always remember what He has sacrificed to give you "salvation" (6:2) and what it means to “be made right with God through Christ” (5:21 NLT). #WhatMattersMost

What kind of worker are you?

If you are a sower, you are a hard worker. For sowers sow in all climates and conditions; and because of their relentless hard work and dedication, they continue to flourish and succeed. So, might you never "give up" or become "weary in doing good", because "at the proper time [you] will reap a harvest" (Galatians 6:9). #Sow #Harvest #Reap & #Repeat

ANW's Thoughtful Thursdays

ANW's Thoughtful Thursdays

How do you handle being tested?

Every day is a new day and never the same, as some days are easy and some hard; and it is the hard ones that bear blessings. In an effort to save the Israelites, Moses faced more hard than easy days, as he dealt with people who "were terrified" (Exodus 14:1-4) and doubtful (see 13:17). Strong and steadfast in his faith, Moses continued to reassure the Israelites that "the Lord [would] fight for [them]" (14:14). So, when the hard ones come, might you embrace and not run from them, but let them teach you, lead you and help you grow; and when the easy ones come, be grateful, give thanks and appreciate them. #FaceEachDay & #RemainResolute

ANW's Wisdom Wednesdays

ANW's Wisdom Wednesdays

How many enemies have you made?
At one time, we all were "God's enemies" (Romans 5:10), because we "have sinned and fall short of [his] glory" (3:23). Yet, "in his grace, [he] freely makes us right in his sight...through Christ Jesus [who] freed us from the penalty of our sins" (3:24 NLT). So, if you would like to remain an ally and not an enemy, might you, too, also find it in your heart to ask for grace and forgiveness and begin again. #MakeFriendsNotFoes #ToNewBeginnings

It's a new year and what better way to start fresh. For almost 30 years, me and my family have made New's Years Resolutions. This year's resolutions were created using a Slovak postcard, family heritage, sent as a Christmas gift by Joey Krasnacian, and using our English Crackers that we open after dinner, every Christmas Eve, and adding them to the thoughtful resolutions that we make. Other years, we use candy tins and other memorable items to create our New Year's resolutions. So, maybe you start a new tradition and recycle and repurpose items and make them anew once again. #RRRChallenge

ANW's Tuesday Takeaways

ANW's Tuesday Takeaways

How much do you walk?

Aside from exercise, walking also means having a conversation with God. Many people have done this and still do. For instance, "Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years" (Genesis 5:22). "In the cool of the day" (3:8), Adam and Eve, also walked with God; as did Abram (see 17:1) and Jacob (see 48:15). So, if you, too, would like to get some more steps in, might you consider "[walking] by the Spirit" (Galatians 5:16). #KeepWalking #ForYourHeart & #Head & #Health

The Winter Market, again, will be serving homemade goods, an assortment of truffles, and possibly fudge and almond bark, along with several hot beverages. If interested, mark your calendars.

Now added, a working ANW "Love List" of Tulsa Area Businesses, along with other exciting additions coming soon.

Left over tins can be turned in to something special or useful. This Williams Sonoma dog tin, once filled with edible items, has now been turned in to a Valentine's Day tin, while also using left over unused valentine envelopes, stickers, colored index cards, colored pencils, and Pez containers; and completed with left over ribbon and material to make a bow and signature heart. You can also put homemade goods, dog treats or store mementos in the tin, or just use for decoration. #RRRChallenge

ANW's Meaningful Mondays

How well do you control your temper?

Tempers have a tendency to flare, from time to time, and when they do they need to be harnessed for the sake of your well-being and reputation, as they will only make you look like a fool, even if you are right. When you take the temperament of "[being] quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry" (James 1:19), you grow in wisdom and maturity. So, the next time you feel your temper rising, might you remember not to react, but to step back, count to 100 or more and breathe. #RemainCalm #Cool & #Collected
