Triggers: Figure Out Your Big Three
Ephesians 4:26 “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your anger.”
Much of what we feel is never biblically acceptable as the Bible makes this clear where it says, “be anxious for nothing” (Phil 4:6), “don't worry…” (Lk. 12:29) “fear not…” “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.” (Eph. 4:31) and more.
This week during 6am Effective Living Group Coaching sessions, we’re going to focus on 5 Simple strategies to help you identify, manage, and heal your emotional triggers.
"So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ." Ephesians 3:17-18Your thoughts and feelings hold the key to revealing your emotional triggers that have.
Today I want to challenge you to, figure out your big three!!!
The average person has dozens (if not more) triggers.
Trying to identify them all at once can be overwhelming and counterproductive.
I’ve found that most people have a few triggers that cause them the most suffering, and focusing on those is where they get the most benefit.
Try picking out your big three triggers.
What's caused the highest number and/or your most intense reactions in the past few months?
You may find it helps to journal for a bit to recall the moments when you’ve really lost control.
Narrow it down to the three triggers that you find most affect your life or relationships with others.
Self-awareness is fundamental in managing your triggers.
Understanding your strengths, weaknesses, values, and learning style is crucial for effective self-management.

Change and Why We Should Embrace It

The thing about change is that it doesn’t just happen overnight. It occurs gradually. You’re changing every time you get up, but you really can’t feel it.
Your alarm clock doesn’t tell you what, exactly, has changed about you.
It takes quite a while before you can notice what’s different in the way you see things, in the way you behave, in the way you interact with everyone.
What I can assure you is that change is inevitable. Let the month of September be YOUR month of change.
To leave a legacy on YOUR journey to living life effectively, you’ve got to embrace change.

The Power & Purpose of Unlearning
The concept of unlearning helps you to look at things in a fresh mindset, leading you towards better understanding and ultimately better decisions.
YOU MUST UNLEARN WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED.
Unlearning requires you to drop your ego and biases. It forces you to challenge your beliefs.
We live in the age of information. So you must learn to unlearn to cope with the ever-expanding knowledge base.
The sooner you UNLEARN THE untruth that you have been programmed to believe … THE BETTER YOUR LIFE WILL BE!
Here are 5 things to unlearn about life:
Your skills and personally can grow as much as you want.
Don’t limit yourself by making excuses that you don’t have the talent or the required personality to reach your goals.
2. EATING FAST FOOD IS NORMAL
If it were normal, we wouldn’t have an epidemic of diseases and health conditions.
People are obese and malnourished at the same time.
Most people think money is the answer to all the suffering they have in life. Only if they had enough money, they will be successful and happy.
Money is not god. It won’t solve all your problems. More money will only bring chaos to your life if you don’t learn how to manage it.
Ever since you went to school, it conditioned you to believe that failures and mistakes are negative.
Here’s how it works in reality. You make mistakes. You fail terribly. You gather the lessons. You get up. You repeat until success.
If you’re busy, you’re trapped in the boundaries you set for yourself.
Break free. Prioritize. Let go.
You don’t have to do everything in one day. You must definitely protect your time but don’t schedule every hour of your day. Let life flow sometimes.
Stop acting like an expert. Become a beginner. Listen more than you speak.
Keep an open mind and don’t be afraid to unlearn. It also never hurts to relearn what you already knew since we forget what we had learned.

You need to be conscious of your self-destructive habits. Take ownership for yourself.
Blaming others does not change your situation. A time will come in your life when some people will regret why they treated you wrong. Trust me, it will definitely come.1. People pleasing: Always saying yes to please others, even when it's not in your best interest.
2. Making excuses: Justifying your behavior or decisions with excuses rather than taking responsibility.
3. Television addiction: Spending excessive amounts of time watching TV or streaming shows.
4. Constantly saying no: Frequently turning down opportunities or invitations without a valid reason.
5. Talking instead of doing: Talking about your goals or plans without taking action to achieve them.
6. Excessive sugar consumption: Having a habit of consuming too much sugary foods or drinks.
7. Self-deception: Being dishonest with yourself about your habits or actions.
8. Negative influence company: Spending time with people who have a negative impact on your life.
Some of us are headed into a season where we won't be able to stop winning even if we tried. Make peace with the fact that people hold different versions of you in their minds. Ultimately, who you know yourself to be is what matters the most.

Productivity is Never an Accident

There are so many varying opinions on the keys to success and leading a meaningful, happy, and fulfilling life. Working hard, having discipline, and sacrificing are just a few examples. However, I believe that one of the integral factors necessary to be successful at anything is planning.
If you ask a large group of people what they would like to achieve in their lives, the answers will vary considerably. Some of the more common answers you can expect are:
All of these are worthwhile goals to pursue. However, if you ask the same group of people if they have developed a specific plan to achieve their goals, it is more than likely that only a small minority have taken the time to do just that.

Do it Now Than Regret it Later
1. We care more for the dead than we do for the living!
2. We spend more to bury a person than we did to save their life.
3. We will not drive across town to see a sick relative but will fly across gallons of water to bury him/her
4. People will rarely respect you while alive but will want to "pay their last respects" to your casket.
5. A person may NEVER receive roses in their entire life but they will get lots dumped on their graveyard!
6. We will spend a night at a neighbor's funeral and it will be our first time seeing the inside of their house!
7. No one cares to know your community until you die and then they will fill car after car to "escort" your corpse
8. We will take the dead to the mosque/temple/church, knowing fully well they had nothing to do with worship while alive.
9. We might not have granite tops in our kitchens but use the granite in the graveyard!
10. A person may under no circumstances be able to afford a limousine ride when alive but will be driven in one when dead!
It is proposed we have "Cultural Reforms". We have a culture of "hypocrisy"..... a culture that is "Pro-death" and NOT "Pro-life!"
We need to value life BEFORE death.
Please love me while I am alive, show me your kindness now that I need it, your presence at my funeral will never make up for your absence when I have the greatest need of you. Do it now than regret it later.
This Got Me Thinking!
