Day 15

During April I am finishing the proofs of Forget You (CHECK!), dealing with the ARCs, and writing 40,000 words of the new novel.

Yesterday I was going to send all the rest of the ARCs. I did until I ran out of customs declarations. Man, overseas postage is expensive! I am looking at you very hard, United Kingdom.

I was also going to write 2500. I failed miserably and wrote 543.

I did, however, make a calendar of the action of the book, which means I am getting really serious WATCH OUT FOLKS STAN...

Day 14

During April I am finishing the proofs of Forget You , dealing with the ARCs, and writing 40,000 words of BRILLIANCE I tell you BRILLIANCE.

Yesterday I was supposed to get rid of the ARCs and I am not quite through with that and as it is tax day I am scared of the post office. I am going to power through it and THEN I am going to write 2500 words because SOME PEOPLE here don't seem to think that sending out ARCs qualifies as a goal, even though it is CLEARLY STATED above.

You?

Your goal for April...

Day 13

I received good news twice yesterday. First, Going Too Far is a finalist in the Book Buyer's Best contest. Woo-hoo! And second, Gossamer Obsessions has posted a hilarious A+ review of Going Too Far. Hilarious A+ reviews are my very favorite kind!

On to the daily grind:

During April I am finishing the proofs of Forget You , dealing with the ARCs, and writing 40,000 words of...was I supposed to be writing something?

Yesterday I said I would write a lot, but my plans changed when the ARCs came in th...

Day 12

During April I am finishing the proofs of Forget You , dealing with the ARCs, and writing 40,000 words of Awesome.

Yesterday my goal was to Think Very Hard. I did indeed Think Very Hard. I named all my characters, fabricated some plot, and even wrote 1042 words without really meaning to. You know what that means.

Today I am writing 2500. Oh, you laugh? Meet me back here tomorrow.

On a side note, Nannette would like to know how to insert a picture in the comments. I don't know how to do this unles...

Days 9, 10, and 11

Some of us lost a writing friend over the weekend. He had a very dry wit, and I like to think he would approve of what we are doing here, really enjoy the parade, and tell us to write on.

As for me, I said I would write 2000 on day 9 and I only wrote 1000.

Then, on days 10 and 11, I had to work on another project. It's this kind of thing that totally derailed me in March and prevented me from doing NaNoWriMo this time in November. But I think I have kept it under control, at least.

Today I am al...

Day 8

During April I am finishing the proofs of Forget You , dealing with the ARCs, and writing 40,000 words of the new novel, which is looking up.

Yesterday my goal was to write 2000 words. I wrote 2019. You know what that means.

*Looking expectantly at Callie*

Today I will write another 2000.

Hooray, Nannette is back! Now we need to work on Naima.

Your turn:

What you're writing in April

What you planned to write on day 8 (Thursday)

What you actually wrote

A guess: Where in the World is Naima?

Day 7

During April I am finishing the proofs of Forget You , dealing with the ARCs, and writing 40,000 words of the novel, ugh, can you tell I have gotten disheartened overnight?

Yesterday I was not able to send off Forget You without looking at it again, and I did not write 1000 words. But I did send it off eventually, and today I will write 2000. Being disheartened is no excuse. You can't just sit around and eat chocolate chip cookies and watch Mythbusters. Novels do not write themselves.

Now you:

Day 6

First of all, take time out of your busy writing schedule to congratulate one of our own. [info:] fashionista_35 (a.k.a. RITA winner Barbara Caridad Ferrer) has a new, gorgeous cover! I read this book a long time ago and I'm beyond thrilled that you're finally going to get a chance to read it too.

Okay, DAY 6.

During April I am finishing the proofs of Forget You , dealing with the ARCs, and writing 40,000 words of the Novel So Brilliant It Will Change All Our Lives.

Yesterday was the most beautiful day ...

Day 5

During April I am finishing the proofs of Forget You , dealing with the ARCs, and writing 40,000 words of the new novel, which I will get to any second, I swear.

Yesterday my goal was to make it through the whole proof, and I did! I deserve a parade.

However, I'm not starting the new novel today. This is the last time I will see Forget You before it comes out on July 20, and I feel like I need to take a day to delete a word and put it back and take it out and put it back and drive myself complet...

Days 3 and 4

During April I am finishing the proofs of Forget You , dealing with the ARCs, and writing 40,000 words of Unmitigated Brilliance Including a Hot Hero.

I meant to finish the proofs over the weekend, but I did not. I did get more than halfway through. Today I will finish. I really must finish today or I won't have time for those 40,000 words this month...and my Hero will be only Lukewarm or perhaps Tepid.

Now you!

What you're writing in April

What you planned to write on days 3 and 4 (Saturday and S...
