Day 18

In May I am writing 30,000 words. Yesterday I said I would write 1500 words. I wrote 1527.

And then I discovered that ENDLESS SUMMER is already available at Barnesandnoble.com ! And my box of author copies finally arrived! And guess who has gotten a job as a UPS driver? Shame looks a lot better in that brown uniform that he does in his usual shorts and baseball socks and sandals, I have to say. So I am not writing today. I am going to send ENDLESS SUMMER to [info:] whojackman instead. My goal is to get...

Day 17

In May I am writing 30,000 words. Yesterday I said I would write 1500. I wrote 380.

Okay, I called shame. I'm sorry. I was lonely and he's just so...easy. And part of me wants to go out with pride, but I don't know. He's just so matchy-matchy the way his sweaters go with his socks. Accomplishment is also tempting, but what girl wants to go out with a boy who's good for her?

I think we need a girls' night out. Pre-prom party tonight, just us writers, and NOBODY CALL SHAME, okay? I'm writing 1500...

Days 14, 15, and 16

I said I would not write this weekend, and I didn't. Congratulations to meeeee! I did, however, read The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting. It's a YA romantic suspense with a splash of paranormal, and it's absolutely wonderful. If you give it a try, let me know what you thought.

Today I'll write 1500.

How about you?

Your goal for May

Your goal for the weekend

Your achievement for the weekend

Your goal for today

Read any good books lately?

Day 13

Good news: Flipping Pages for All Ages has posted a five-star review of FORGET YOU . Thank you Sherry! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Bad news: ENDLESS SUMMER has not arrived on my doorstep. You know how books appear for sale online two weeks before they're supposed to be released? Why is this not happening for my book? I think Amazon may be able to detect how often an author checks on the status of her book, and if she checks really often, they delay release of it just to mess with her.

Good news:...

Day 12

Big news of the day: Asamum and Myriad Words have posted lovely reviews of Forget You .

Also, I posted on the MTV Books Blog about the imminent release of Endless Summer . I would appreciate it if you took a gander and posted a comment—but NOT at the expense of your own writing, okay? Surfing isn't writing.

In May I am writing 30,000 words. Yesterday I said I would write 1300. I wrote...wait for it...82.

I'm really looking forward to CP Cathy's report today. I have a feeling she pawned shame's lit...

In May I am writing 30,000 words. Yesterday I said I would write 1300, and I wrote 1474. Today I will write 1300.

Do you ever just get too busy for shame? When I get into the meat of a novel, I write it every day as a matter of course, as if it were my job--which it is! Shame who?

Now you:

Your goal for May

Your goal for yesterday (Tuesday)

Your achievement yesterday

Day 6

The good news is that Chick Loves Lit posted a great review of Forget You ! I'm so glad she enjoyed it!

The bad news is that I did not write word 1 yesterday, and then shame asked me to the prom. I did not want to go with him, but my BFF told me nobody likes shame and I should feel sorry for him and say yes. So I did. And now he has started sitting next to me in the lunchroom every day, and I understand WHY nobody likes shame. He smells bad, he eats live toads out of his lunchbox, and he loves...
