Only thing you need is life

Life isn’t that complicated.

There are few things you need to live a content life.

Being healthy. Which means to have a healthy mind-body and spirit.Being surrounded by people who make you feel good about yourself and life in general.Doing something everyday that you love and being successful at it. ( Success– “Progressive realization of a worthy goal or ideal”.)Having enough money to live a comfortable/good enough life.

There’s always more you can be, have or do.

But to live a pretty good life, I believe, those are essential.

Strong Independent woman

“You have to be a strong independent woman!”

What does it even mean?!

The notion that you don’t need a man sounds ‘stupid’ to me.

The idea that you have to do everything for yourself, by yourself doesn’t make sense.

Even in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, self-actualisation comes after having your needs for love and connection met.

We are tribal beings.

We are complementing each other.

We need Healthy Dependency in our life.

No wonder so many women are depressed, forcing themselves to be who they aren’t.

You are whole with or without a man. You are enough with or without a man. You can/should live a very successful, fulfilled, happy, peaceful, and joyful life with or without a man.

No one can give you what you can/should give to yourself.

But also;

You can’t give yourself what others are going to bring into your life.

There is no limit to the love that you can spread and to the love that you can receive.

There are things you can’t do and it’s okay

One of the best definitions I’ve read for trauma;

“Anything that exceeds your nervous system’s ability to cope.”

There are things, places, people, situations you can’t cope with.

And it’s okay.

You aren’t born to be everything and anything.

You are born to be you.

And you have unique needs and wants.

You have unique purpose for your life.

You have to “study” yourself. You have to get to know yourself.

What it is that YOU need?

What kind of routines do you need to thrive?!

What kind of environment do you need to live a peaceful fulfilled life?!

How often do you like to travel?

What are some comfort zones that are beneficial to leave and beneficial to keep yourself into?

There is no one way of living.

“Traveler, there is no path, The path is made by walking.

“Beat by beat, verse by verse…”

there are different realities available at all times

I was driving. Feeling aligned with the source energy. Synced with everything around me.

Everyone around me was moving peacefully. All was perfect.

I had a disturbing thought. I focused on it for a little too long. It gained momentum.

Instantaneously I missed the exit and then I missed another. I felt frustrated.

I laughed at myself and felt grateful for the contrast.

I took a few breaths and found thoughts that felt better than the initial ones.

Soon enough everything and everyone around me felt perfect again.

Only Moment you can control

If you wait for circumstances to feel good, you’ll never feel good.

If you wait for tomorrow to transform your life, tomorrow might never come.

If you keep procrastinating and delaying your work, it might never be completed.

If you prioritize your work over your family in the hope of someday being able to fully, freely be with them, you’ll miss out on the time you’ll never get back.

Today, now, this moment, this second. It’s where it counts.

It’s the only time you have true control over it.

Not every friend is a “friend”

Your friends should feel like home.

Friends should feel like a secure space where it’s safe to be yourself.

You must feel uplifted, welcomed, loved, seen, and worthy when with your friends.

You have to be able to tell them the good news and they should be honestly happy for you.

You can know many people but not everybody can be your friend.

Friends are special and they are part of us.

Choose wisely who gets to be part of YOU and your life.

Because it matters.

A lot.

How long should you meditate?!

The definition of meditation I like the most is that “prayer is the act of talking to God, while meditation is the act of listening”

To quiet your mind to an extent where you are simply and only existing in the present moment, just actively “being”.

Throughout my journey, I’ve tried different types of meditation.

I’ve also tried different lengths of meditation.

But how long should you really meditate?

Dr. Sukhraj Dhillon couldn’t have said it more beautifully;

“You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes every day – unless you’re too busy; then you should sit for an hour.”

PS. Don’t use this as an excuse not to meditate. In the beginning, 1 minute of meditation will do wonders. Eventually, naturally, you’ll grow and you’ll crave more.

What every parent should know before having kids

Parenting is hard. Really really hard.

The majority of us who decide on having children aren’t aware of how much it takes to raise another human being.

How can you know if you never experienced it? You can’t.

Yes, people over 20 are called adults but does anyone know what they are doing with their lives?!

Now imagine you probably haven’t healed your own childhood wounds and traumas, you too need better self-discipline and habits, you are throwing tantrums here and there, and maybe you are anxious and sometimes even depressed.

Now you are going to have a child who will be a little twin of yours because kids learn everything from their parents and surroundings.

They will become your mirror and will show you all the parts that you like in yourself. But most importantly they will show you all the parts that you dislike, try to hide, run from, or disapprove.

You’ll think your kids are doing something wrong, that they are ‘bad’. You might even resent them. In reality, they are just showing you your own self.

The list is huge of why parenting is challenging.

No kid will ever trigger you as your own will.

That’s why it’s crucial to do your own spiritual work and healing before having a child.

Generational traumas need to be broken.

First of all, raise yourself before you try to raise another human being.

And if you already have a child it’s never too late. You start healing now.

Any time you can start over, forgive yourself and make better choices.

You didn’t know better before.

Now you know better.

And when you know better you do better.
