October 2023 Tarotscope | Monthly Tarot Reading on Zodiac / Astrological Sign
October is here!
This autumn month brings all of us the promise of deeper introspection as we prepare to shed all we don’t need in preparation for winter. PS: It’s my birthday month, too!
As September fades, the harmonious energy of Libra starts to stir the air. Later this month, the Sun plunges into the depths of Scorpio , inviting us to explore our passions, secrets, and the shadows we might often overlook.
Libra places our focus on harmony, love, relationships, fairness, truth-telling and the desire for equity with others. Ruled by Venus, Libra invites you to flirt, play, and beautify yourself or your environment.
Scorpio ushers in a season of intensity and transformation. It's all about diving deep, getting to the truth, and embracing change. It's the time when mysteries unravel, and emotions run deep 🦂.
I've whipped up my monthly YouTube video for October, packed with personalized Tarot readings for each zodiac sign! To get a more layered understanding, you might want to listen to the readings for both your Moon Sign and Rising Sign, too.
Your love and support on my YouTube channel are simply incredible! I always appreciate when you share your thoughts in the comments, and of course, subscribe for your monthly dose of tarot guidance. There's fresh content and updates waiting for you over at ElliotOracle.com, too!
Wishing everyone a magical October filled with insight & discovery!

Queen of Wands (Upright) | Tarot Card of the Day
Queen of Wands (Upright) | Tarot Card
The Queen of Wands is a powerful and inspiring archetype.Strong, self-confident, charismatic, and self-assured in her worth. Wands in the tarot symbolize growth. This shows us that the Queen of Wands was not always so self-confident. She had to overcome a fear of what others would think of her if she were to truly be herself. This is a hard lesson in courage. Rejection from others hurts!
With her radiant energy and fierce determination, the Queen of Wands reminds us that our personal growth often involves confronting our fears and breaking through barriers. While the journey may have been filled with trials, the Queen stands tall, having used every challenge as a stepping stone to her current stature. Her vibrant flame signifies passion, creativity, and ambition, inviting us to be brave in pursuing our goals and dreams. By embodying the Queen of Wands' spirit, we too can learn to shine brightly, embracing our authentic selves, and inspiring those around us with our unwavering confidence and zest for life.

Queen of Wands (Upright) 🔥👑 for Sept 30 | Daily Tarot Reading/Card of the Day | Elliot Oracle

YouTube video for the Queen of Wands (Upright) | Tarot Card of the Day by Elliot Oracle
Are you truly confident in who you are?Do you really feel your worth? Do you try to hide what gives you joy just to avoid the embarrassment you might feel if someone were to ridicule you? A lot of us like to think we don't care what others think, but are we being honest?
Front and center on the Queen of Wands' card is her black cat. For centuries black cats were considered "evil" and "unlucky" by the masses. People who owned black cats were also persecuted. The Queen of Wands loves black cats. She loves black cats so much that she put her favorite black cat in the spotlight on her card. It’s as if she's saying "I don't care what bovines in a herd think of me, I love black cats."
The Queen of Wands tells you to stop fearing what people will say or think about you today. Stop hiding your light! Have courage and be who you are! The Lions on the Queen's throne symbolize courage. It is time to be unapologetically authentic. The Queen of Wands is also accompanied by a sunflower. These flowers also appear on the Sun card (the best card in the deck). Sunflowers always face the Sun. They open their petals in the direction of the Sun's radiant light and represent our need to turn toward the light within ourselves. This card exemplifies the characteristics of the astrological sign of Leo, famous for its ability to "put on a show," and to shine with "star quality." By being your authentic self, you will emit your own light that others will notice immediately. Bring the positive energy of the Sun to all your interactions today.
To embody the energy of the Queen of Wands, one must cultivate a deep sense of self-acceptanceBy fully loving and accepting herself, she becomes open to the possibility of being loved by others for her true self. She takes the risk to smile and reach out to others before they greet her. She shows her subjects that she can see their light clearly, because she went through the process of discovering her own. The Queen of Wands never brags about her accomplishments, she lets her life's results speak for themselves. What you see is what you get. She also knows that the truest path toward suffering is to compare herself to others. She shines brightly without caring if she looks stupid or if some of her relatives in the pentacles suite think she's impractical or even crazy.
Most people adore the Queen of Wands. Some people are a little threatened by her realness (Who does she think she is not caring what I think?). There are even few people with wounded egos that hate her for her best qualities. Living in darkness so long, the Queen's sunny charm shines a light on wounds to their ego that they were in denial about, comfortably hidden in the shadow. The Queen of Wands doesn't worry about any of that, she just keeps sharing her authentic self with grace with poise. She remembers how difficult the journey was to get to her throne and to own her majesty. What are you struggling to like about yourself? Think how powerful your sense of self would be if you smiled without judgment at that part and still loved yourself. Can you see the light within your heart? Can you accept yourself and your entire journey, both the hills and the valleys?
Today, shine authentically and without apology. You've earned your sunflower throne.

Knight of Cups (Reversed) | Tarot Card of the Day
Knight of Cups (Reversed) | Tarot Card
When the Knight of Cups appears reversed, it indicates that difficult feelings are swimming around in your heart, and you may be struggling to express them. This can lead to a sense of emotional blockage, leaving you feeling stuck and overwhelmed. It is an ideal time to communicate about whatever you have been avoiding. Instead of retreating more, the Knight dares you to be more open, and share what you are experiencing with people you trust. Putting these difficult feelings into words can be a powerful way to release them. While it may be challenging to open up and express ourselves, it is often the first step towards healing and finding resolution.
The reversed Knight of Cups signifies an emotional disconnect, either with oneself or with others. This card cautions against keeping emotions bottled up or ignoring issues that need addressing. It's also a reminder that while it's essential to listen to our heart's desires, it's equally crucial to ensure that we communicate these feelings in a constructive manner. Avoiding confrontations or suppressing feelings can lead to missed opportunities or misunderstandings. Embrace this period as an opportunity to clear the emotional air and pave the way for stronger relationships and personal growth.

Knight of Cups (Reversed) 🍷⚔️ for September 29 | Daily Tarot Reading/Card of the Day | Elliot Oracle

YouTube video for the Knight of Cups (Reversed) | Tarot Card of the Day by Elliot Oracle
Do you have a hard time expressing your feelings, even to the people you are closest to?Are you too shy, or too scared to open yourself up to connecting with others? When did you last feel passionate or romantic?
The Knight of Cups tarot card is the brave Messenger of Love, representing all forms of love, including romantic, platonic, familial, and passionate. He fearlessly communicates his deepest feelings, inspiring love to flow everywhere he goes. This knight can reintroduce a lonely person into a world of friends and can bring renewed passion to an intimacy-barren relationship. He reminds us that we are all connected, valuable, loved, and accepted, and encourages us to be emotionally courageous.
If you struggle to express your feelings or find it difficult to connect with others, the Knight of Cups is here to remind you that you are not alone. He wears the wings of Hermes, symbolizing his ability to communicate deep, unconscious feelings that can be hard to put into words. The fish on his tunic represent the healing power of clear communication about feelings, even when the subject is difficult to discuss.
Expressing love can be scary, especially if you've been hurt in the past. The Knight of Cups reminds us that retreating further from others will never heal the heart. Instead, we must be brave and open, allowing new experiences to replace past hurts. The heart is not as fragile as it may seem, and it can heal amazingly when we allow it to be open and vulnerable.
The reversed Knight of Cups indicates a need to release difficult feelings by putting them into words.Emotions like fear, shame, anxiety and anger can begin to feel resolved the moment they are spoken. However, they must be articulated from a position of honesty and love. Once difficult feelings are articulated, they can be surrendered. Releasing emotional baggage causes the heart to immediately lighten up, making room for feelings like joy, excitement and love. Don't fear honesty and openness. The Knight of Cups advises you to stop carrying heavy feelings around. Release any burdensome emotions or anxieties that are weighing you down by talking about them honestly and openly. This will lead to a huge breakthrough regarding your connection with others.
Knight of Cups (Reversed) in a Love ReadingNew RelationshipThe Knight of Cups reversed is a notorious breaker of hearts. Once he achieves his conquest, he gallops into the sunset leaving many a bewildered damsel to wonder what went wrong. The appearance of this card does not always guarantee heartbreak. However, you must be strong, independent, and confident enough in yourself to retain this Knight’s interest.
Long Term PartnershipThe Knight of Cups reversed can represent a partner who avoids difficult conversations. He may keep his deepest desires secret. This card signifies the necessity for a candid conversation. This card can also signify a partner whose eye is beginning to wander. Again, direct communication is key to maintaining trust.
Seeking RomanceIf the Knight of Cups reversed represents you then he tells you to express your most ardent emotions rather than concealing them. Instead of waiting for romance, speak up. It’s time to reconnect with the feeling of being sexy and powerful again. Act with confidence.

The Hierophant (Upright) | Tarot Card of the Day
The Hierophant (Upright) | Tarot Card
The Hierophant card symbolizes reaching out to the divine.Every culture in human history has a different conception of a Spiritual "Awareness" that feels divine. Some names for this Awareness are: God, The Universe, The Gods, Higher Power, Great Spirit, the Goddess, Angels, the Higher Self, the Great Mystery, it’s different depending on who you talk to. Nobody’s “wrong” or “right,” because no one has the complete scope of this "infinite thing." Each of us are parts of a collective, describing the same "Divine" thing we are seeing, from different vantage points. Each perception of the Divine is unique.
What is sacred to one, might hold no meaning for another. However, the part of our psyche that authentically prays is universal. Similar to "Love," it transcends religion, cultural identity, or limitations. Spirituality is very personal and differs with each individual. Some people are atheist, yet many of them concede that humans evolved with a biological component in the brain that developed into an "instinct" toward spiritual belief. Whatever your personal beliefs, the Hierophant symbolizes one important thing: Humans have a very natural instinct (and I would argue need) to connect with the Divine.
The Hierophant stands as a bridge between the mundane and the divine. He is a guardian of sacred rites, rituals, and traditions, ensuring that they are passed down through generations. As a figurehead of spiritual wisdom, he beckons us to explore the sacred realm and embark on a journey of self-discovery. The Hierophant encourages us to trust the wisdom of our ancestors and respect the traditions they established, but he also calls for inner reflection to recognize our unique connection to the divine. As we navigate the complexities of the modern world, it becomes increasingly important to honor our spiritual roots and draw strength from our ancestral wisdom. The Hierophant teaches us that by seeking understanding and aligning with the divine, we can achieve spiritual fulfillment and lead a life guided by purpose and meaning.

The Hierophant (Upright) 🙏📜 for September 25 | Daily Tarot Reading/Card of the Day | Elliot Oracle

YouTube | The Hierophant (Upright) | Tarot Card of the Day
Do you feel like you are all alone, carrying a crushing burden?Does religious baggage prevent you connecting with the Divine? Are you skeptical that a God/Awareness/Spirit even exists?
If you chose the Hierophant card today, the Divine wants you to know It is listening. You are being seen and heard right at this moment. Do your instincts feel this compassion? Have you ever felt this Awareness around you before? It can feel you. It surrounds you and connects you to others. It knows your whole history, and the the history of the planets, stars and worlds. It is both within you and outside of you. It weaves through everything you see and don’t see. The stars are made of it and infused with its light. You and the stars are made of the same stuff. You are "It," and "It" is you. Most importantly "It" is listening. It is ever near, patiently waiting for you to ask for what you need. This Universal force is love.
You are one unique part of this Universe of Light, able to reflect on itself.Think about it, your atoms are made from same elements as the stars, and yet you can reflect, think, be conscious and aware. Talk about amazing! You are an individual, and yet you are plugged into something far greater. It doesn’t matter what you “believe” it is or “name” it. It is still around you whether you want to acknowledge its presence, believe it, name it, or not.
The keys on the card represent the need to unlock the pathway to the sacred place within. Reaching out to the sacred can aid you in releasing, letting go, asking for help, unburdening yourself. Find a private moment. Unload your fears, tears, and assumptions of hopelessness to the Divine. When your prayers are true, they are heard. We may not get what we expect or want, but we get what's meant to be. What feels so heavy, so unsolvable, so hopeless? You’re being heard, right now, ask for what you need. Surrender it and watch it resolve.

Nine of Pentacles (Upright) | Tarot Card of the Day
Nine of Pentacles (Upright) | Tarot Card
The Nine of Pentacles represents wealth, security and savoring your success.Every financial guru teaches that gratitude for what you have leads to even more wealth. The Nine of Pentacles teaches that wealth follows your focus (which must be trained) and is more of a state of mind than a dollar amount. If you want to experience even more wealth, you will have to slow down, acknowledge your success, and train your focus.
As you move through your day, take moments to savor your achievements, no matter how small. Reflect on the journey that brought you here. Remember, the true essence of wealth isn't just about the accumulation of material possessions, but also about inner contentment and appreciation. The more you cherish the abundance already present in your life, the more the universe will bless you with further prosperity.

YouTube video for the Nine of Pentacles (Upright) | Tarot Card of the Day by Elliot Oracle
Do you take the time to slow down and savor your successes? How would you rate your concept of “self-worth?” Does your environment feel like it exudes “wealth energy?” Does it feel balanced, look appealing, and smell like abundance? (If not, it might be time to get a book about Feng Shui from the library.)
The wealthy woman on this card admires her abundant garden. It shines with the golden light of success. Her palace sits aloft the hills in the distance. She is training her pet falcon. Falcons are famous for their focus and their speed. The woman has placed a hood over the falcon. This symbolizes that she has learned how to train her own focus. She knows that what she places her attention on, she receives. The falcon is not racing ahead for a hunt, or frantically looking for his next prey. He is instead enjoying the affection of his mistress. He is also listening carefully to her encouraging words.
The woman has another pet with her in the garden.... this one is rather difficult to see but also teaches a very important lesson..............look closely..............can you spot it?
Far down in the left-hand corner of the image is a snail.[1] Snails are sloooooowwwwww. They take their time to reach their destination. In fact, “destinations” aren’t important to them because snails are always at home. The woman keeps the snail in her garden. Snails are very sensitive to their environments. This reminds her that in order to ensure that even more wealth flows, she needs to slow down, take care of her environment, and savor her current success. The wealthy woman makes sure that her garden is only filled with imagery that conjures up a sense of abundance. This keeps her little companions healthy, and ensures wealth is continuously attracted to her.
Today, it's time to slow down and savor your wealth. It's a state of mind. Take control of your focus. Enhance your environment to embody feelings of wealth, and success. Perhaps you need more greenery in your home. Maybe the house needs to be cleaned up. Like the snail, you are very sensitive to your environment. See to it that your home gives you a positive sensory experience in every room. Light some candles, and place some richly colored pillows. Place some abundant plants by the windows or get a “money tree.” Ensure that your home smells good and pleases all the senses. When you look around you should see an abundant environment that displays your success.
Slow down and create an environment that will encourage feelings of success. Wealth will follow.

The Hermit (Reversed) | Tarot Card of the Day
The Hermit (Reversed) | Tarot Card
When the Hermit appears reversed, it indicates that it is time to reemerge from your inner landscape and share yourself with the outside world again. After a period of introspection and self-work you have gained new insights and wisdom. Now the demands of the external world may be calling you back. Duties will multiply, and events may pick up speed. The Hermit is the "way-shower" from within. Don't be surprised is you may be a way-shower to others, now that you made your own journey. It is time to engage with the world around you and share your unique wisdom and experiences.
As you head out into the wider world, ensure that you don't abandon the profound insights you've discovered. The world can greatly benefit from the wisdom you have gained during your time of seclusion.

The Hermit (Reversed) 🏔️✨ for September 16 | Daily Tarot Reading/Card of the Day | Elliot Oracle

YouTube | The Hermit (Reversed) | Tarot Card of the Day
Do you make a habit of tapping into the wisdom within you, or do you tend to distract or numb yourself when faced with discomfort? Are you aware of the inner Wise One that resides within?
The Hermit embodies the idea that the solutions to your problems lie within you. By taking the time to center yourself, acknowledge your true feelings, and quiet your mind, your inner wisdom will lead you out of any rut. However, many people are held back by their fear of confronting uncomfortable emotions. Rather than facing them head-on, they often distract themselves, causing imbalances to go unresolved. The Hermit calls for periodic withdrawal from the world to reconnect with your deeper self.
The Hermit sets out into the darkness, confronting uncomfortable truths and feelings. The snow he travels over represents emotions that have been "put on ice" or numbed. But with his warm, illuminating lantern and his staff of wisdom, he melts the cold, allowing emotions to be resolved and released. By following his gentle guidance, you can uncover the hidden lessons beneath the surface. Is your heart frozen? Can you access and feel the emotions within, or are they numb?
The fear of discomfort masks the truth and prevents you from accessing your wisdom. One common misconception about the Hermit's lesson is that wisdom can be found solely through thinking. However, overthinking simply allows anxiety to go unchecked, leading to hollow solutions that do not address the root of the problem. Feeling the discomfort, on the other hand, allows for true resolution. Unfortunately, many people avoid facing their feelings by turning to their phones, alcohol, or binge-watching television.
But avoidance only temporarily numbs the feeling, allowing it to fester and grow until it inevitably bursts through. Whether it takes longer for some or is sudden for others, this process always ends with a feeling of hollowness or a nervous breakdown.
The Hermit reversed indicates that you possess something important that can contribute to the world around you. However, you cannot share it if you are hiding. It is so important that you don't hide, avoid or become shy about what you offer. The Hermit represents the authentic place within you. Have the courage to reveal your authentic self with others. Your challenges, and introspective journey have given you valuable wisdom. Reconnect with the world and share that wisdom with others. When the Hermit appears reversed, he reminds you that you are not alone. It is time to seek the company of others, who have also done the inner work to know their authentic self. Sometimes this card simply means that you are not as isolated as you think. New friendships, partnerships and connection will appear. A breakthrough will happen if you are open and reconnect with others at this time.
If you are brave enough to confront your discomfort, to seek out the inner teacher within you, you will discover that your discomfort can be your greatest ally. By delving deep into your fears and feelings, you can find the wisdom you seek. Take the time to reflect on what is going on inside you, and connect with your inner Hermit. Let him guide you through the darkness and melt the ice around your heart. Another card may help illuminate the issue that needs healing. You will know you have found the answer when you say, "Aha! That's what I needed to resolve within myself."
The lamp of your inner Hermit will always lead you out of darkness.

Five of Pentacles (Reversed) | Tarot Card of the Day
Five of Pentacles (Reversed) | Tarot Card
When the Five of Pentacles appears reversed, it asks you to identify any areas of your life that you are pouring energy into, without seeing any improvement. This can come in the form of giving your energy to "psychic vampires," spending your time to people that don't respect it or pouring your money into a situation or person that continues to make you feel bad or guilty. At the root of these experiences are questions of worth, and more importantly, what sort of life you feel you are worthy of. Stop spending energy, time and money on people or situations that leave you feeling depleted. Ask yourself, “What is the area of my life that is the biggest energy-waster?”
Recognizing the sources of energy drain in your life is the first step toward reclaiming your power. Be vigilant about where you direct your resources and attention. Align them with situations and people that uplift and nurture you, rather than those that diminish you. By making these adjustments, you set the stage for more fulfilling and prosperous experiences to enter your life.

YouTube video for the Five of Pentacles (Reversed) | Tarot Card of the Day by Elliot Oracle
The Five of Pentacles represents poverty and neediness.Poverty is not just a financial condition one suffers; it is a pervasive state of mind. "How am I going to pay for this?" "If I don't give him more money for the hundredth time it will be my fault if something bad happens?" "I wish I could just get lucky and win the lottery." "I'm just not good with money." "When can I get out of this debt?" "Why am I so worthless?" "Why don't they appreciate me?"
These are all examples of poverty consciousness. Even rich people can get stuck in poverty consciousness. This is because poverty is not actually about money. It's really about self-esteem.
Do you ever feel that success is granted to everybody else but continues to elude you? Are you adequately compensated for the work you do? Do you feel confident enough to put up boundaries with others? Do you value yourself and the services you provide? Do you need to get a new job?
The people depicted on the Five of Pentacles have fallen on hard times. They are sick and injured. Behind them is a cathedral, emitting warmth and glowing with light. The poor folks on the card don’t even think to enter. They are rejected “untouchables.” The feel they are on the outside. They truly don’t consider themselves as worthy of a place inside. They have allowed poverty consciousness to enter their hearts. Once this belief is let in, it’s challenging to cast it out.
In ancient Greece the Goddess of Poverty was named Penia. This Goddess would wander from house to house, much like the vagabonds on the card. Penia would bang on the doors of everyone until someone without boundaries let her in. Once Penia was in the house, it was so difficult to get her to leave. She would constantly make the occupants feel obligated, worthless and guilty. Penia stayed indefinitely until the individual took back their home by casting her out. In this case, the home is a symbol for one’s heart.
Giving to others and being of service must be done with boundaries. The old saying: "Give a man a fish feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him a lifetime," encapsulates this truth.
There is one force on the planet that can eradicate poverty consciousness: Self-Esteem.When you feel smart, capable, competent, and confident you know your self-worth. If an individual feels worthy, poverty consciousness cannot gain a foothold. Unscrupulous individuals can't "use" people who are strong in their sense of self-worth. Users and manipulators are like predators. They go for the weakest one when hunting for a sucker. The Five of Pentacles alerts you to any person or situation that seeks to make you feel less than. It’s time to create strong boundaries.
Know your worth and value. Stop giving yourself away if you are running on empty. Put up boundaries with needy individuals. Speak up for yourself! Help others only if they are helping themselves. Go for your best opportunities.
The Five of Pentacles reversed also asks you to monitor the quality of your thoughts. You don't have to hold onto thoughts just because you have them. Some thoughts are garbage and need to be thrown away. Upright or reversed, the Five of Pentacles asks you to reject any thoughts that undermine your sense of value. Affirm only those thoughts that make you feel good about yourself.
The Five of Pentacles reversed reminds you to stop giving yourself away to experiences that make you feel empty. You can choose to throw out any thought, person, or experience that does not make you feel good about who you are, how far you've come, and where you are going. You are becoming more aware of the love, blessings, and abundance that surrounds you. You are coming out of the bitter snow, and toward the warmth of the hearth. Remember that you are worthy of each blessing you have, and all those that are still on the way.
Five of Pentacles (Reversed) in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Five of Pentacles reversed warns you to steer clear of people who don’t have their life together. Users, energy vampires, or people who play head games will always try to latch onto someone whose energy, money, or resources they can drain. You do not have to sacrifice yourself in payment for a manipulative person to stay.
Long Term Partnership
Your partner either struggles financially or is emotionally depleted. They may not have the resources physically, mentally, or emotionally to give you the life that you deserve. If you are getting less investment than you are giving, then you must make them aware. If they still can’t get you what you need, then you may have to make the difficult choice to choose yourself first.
Seeking Romance
The Five of Pentacles reversed also appears when it is time to toss out the beliefs that make you feel like garbage. This card tells you to take out the trash. No matter what happened in the past, today is a new day to start anew. It’s time to restore your confidence and self-esteem. Engage in fulfilling connections and activities that reaffirm you worth.
