Queen of Pentacles (Reversed) | Tarot Card of the Day

“Relax, the blossoms will still open whether you worry about them or not.”

Queen of Pentacles (Reversed) | Tarot Card

When the Queen of Pentacles appears reversed, it's time to find a calm and peaceful place within yourself.

The jittery rabbit at the top of the card represents any extraneous worries about the future that may be causing anxiety and preventing you from finding contentment in the present moment. The Queen advises against being consumed by fear and instead encourages you to remain patient, centered, and tranquil in your heart. This will allow you to observe your life with equanimity and appreciate the small blessings that surround you. It's important to go beyond the fretful antics of the worrying rabbit and find your inner calm.

Today, the Queen of Pentacles calls for a reassessment of how you manage your inner peace and handle anxieties. This card serves as a gentle reminder to take care of your mental and emotional well-being, emphasizing the need to cultivate inner tranquility amidst external chaos. It suggests that now is the time to turn your attention inward, nurturing a sense of calm and stability in your heart. This involves stepping back from the hustle and bustle of daily life to reconnect with your inner self. The Queen advises practicing mindfulness and grounding techniques, such as meditation or spending time in nature, to restore balance and harmony within. She represents the nurturing aspect of your personality, urging you to show compassion and kindness to yourself, especially in times of stress or uncertainty.

This card also highlights the importance of setting healthy boundaries to protect your peace of mind. By fostering a serene inner environment, you're better equipped to handle life's challenges with grace and resilience. Remember, true contentment and stability begin within, and it's from this place of inner strength that you can best navigate the world around you.

Are you constantly striving for more, thinking that happiness will come once you achieve a certain goal?

Do you push yourself too hard and not allow yourself to enjoy the fruits of your labor? Do you tell yourself, "I'll be happy once I finally achieve X, or get Y.”? Do you race through time not acknowledging even small achievements you make? Are you sometimes a cruel task master to yourself? (You don't get to enjoy anything until you finish this!)

The Queen of Pentacles reminds you to ground yourself in the abundance of the present. Acknowledge the warmth of your home, the good meal you are eating, your time with loved ones, the beauty of the raindrops misting outside. Look at life with content eyes. Look at all this beauty!

In the foreground of the card (in the right- hand corner) is the Queen's pet rabbit. Rabbits are symbols of fertility (hence the Easter Bunny and the budding of Spring). They were also believed to bring good luck. (Remember those ghastly carnival rabbit’s feet in the 1980's?)

An old teacher of mine used to say, "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." If you are preparing the way for future success, all you need to do is look out for the opportunity, then move toward it as swiftly as the rabbit when it arises. Rabbits are also symbolic of nervous energy. This reminds us that we must still act toward our dreams even if we are afraid.

The Queen of Pentacles' garden is growing in perfect timing but requires loving patience and a peaceful environment; mentally and physically.

The garden will continue to steadily grow whether or not one worries about every future detail or potential calamity. Fear and worry kill joy and peace in the present. Anxiety wastes personal power and quickly depletes hope and energy.  Today, emulate the wise and patient Queen. Find your calm. Find your center. Reassure the nervous rabbit within. The Queen knows that she has meticulously prepared her garden. Now all that is needed is to sit back and enjoy it while it grows. Stop worrying about the future! Relax. The blossoms are still opening whether you worry about them or not.

Five of Swords (Upright) | Tarot Card of the Day

 “Don’t get defeated, get organized.”

Five of Swords (Upright) | Tarot Card

The Five of Swords warns not to take on more than you can handle.

Its message is that of pacing yourself. Less gets accomplished (not more), when you are spread too thin. Procrastinating will not help you manifest your dreams, but neither will inundating yourself with the present task (which is the opposite extreme). The Five of Swords encourages you to get organized in your thinking and break the task down into smaller pieces that can be accomplished over time. This will aid you in replenishing self-esteem and personal power.

The Five of Swords, highlights the importance of strategic thinking and balanced effort. It serves as a reminder that victory is not always about conquering everything at once, but often about knowing when to step back and reassess. This card symbolizes the need for a balanced approach in facing challenges, urging you to avoid overextending yourself. It's a call to prioritize your battles, understanding that not every conflict needs to be engaged immediately or with full force. The Five of Swords encourages the practice of discernment, helping you to identify which tasks are essential and which can be set aside or approached differently. It's about finding the most effective way to achieve your goals without depleting your energy. This card advises you to be mindful of your mental and emotional well-being as you navigate through your responsibilities. By adopting a more measured and thoughtful approach, you not only preserve your energy but also set the stage for more sustainable success and personal satisfaction.

Five of Swords (Upright) ⚔️🛡️ | Daily Tarot Reading/Card of the Day | Elliot Oracle #tarot

YouTube video for the Five of Swords (Upright) | Tarot Card of the Day by Elliot Oracle

Is there a huge task looming in your mind that is giving you anxiety?

Are you already so overwhelmed with current tasks and “to-do” lists that it’s hard to see how it will all get done? Do you feel spread too thin?

The Five of Swords depicts three squires, all trying to secure the job of assisting a brave knight. The two squires in the background are defeated. They are focused on the sea, the element of water, which is a symbol for their “feelings.” They couldn’t handle all five swords at once, and the knight’s horse, and the knight’s armor, and the knight’s demands, and, and, and........... Aggghh! It’s just too stressful! They quit!

A fresh breeze blows through the hair of the squire in the foreground. The brisk winds are dispersing the gray clouds in the sky above. This symbolizes the element of air, which in turn represents reason, logic, and intelligence. This squire finds that he can easily complete the tasks required by getting organized. Instead of seizing all the swords at once, he will collect only the amount he can carry. He can come back to the other two heavy swords lying on the ground once he gets the first task completed. In this way, he will do each task well.

The Five of Swords advises you not to waste another minute resisting your tasks with avoidance, exasperation, or procrastination.

Get organized in your thinking! Pull out your calendar. Partition off one sacred hour a day, for seven days, to plug away at the task. Keep your commitment to yourself. Once it’s in the calendar it must be done! This is a sacred contract with your integrity and will systematically help you regain self-esteem. If something comes up in life (as sometimes happens), schedule a make-up hour to keep your commitment to yourself. Open yourself to the fresh breezes of action, to break up the grey clouds of indecision.

As you keep your commitment to yourself a strange thing will happen. You will look forward to working on your task, because confronting it will continue to make you feel powerful. You can achieve your dreams, but first you must schedule the time to work on them.

The Five of Swords also warns you not to take on too much of other people’s issues. You may have to let others do their own work, without your coming to the rescue. Maintain healthy boundaries.

Knight of Wands (Reversed) | Tarot Card of the Day

“Focusing your energy.”

Knight of Wands (Reversed) | Tarot Card

When the Knight of Wands appears reversed, he asks you what you have learned from all your exploration over the past year.

Up until now, you have probably been seeking answers, and looking in unlikely places. When the Knight of Wands appears reversed he is asking you how you can channel this disparate information into productive ways to improve your life. When this card appears reversed it warns against allowing your energy to remain scattered.

The reversed Knight of Wands invites a period of reflection on past adventures and experiences. It suggests a moment to pause and consider how the knowledge and insights gained from your explorations can be integrated into your daily life. This card encourages you to focus your energy, to channel the enthusiasm and passion of your adventures into constructive and meaningful actions. It's a call to balance the thrill of exploration with practical application.

The Knight asks you to consider how your experiences have shaped your perceptions and influenced your decisions. It's about finding the wisdom in your journey and using it to bring about positive changes. This card is a reminder that true exploration is not just about seeking new external experiences, but also about internal discovery and growth. It encourages you to harness the lessons learned and apply them to create a more fulfilling and purposeful life. The challenge is to transform the restless energy of the Knight into a focused force for personal development and accomplishment.

When was the last time you challenged yourself to try something new?

Have you been stuck in the same routine for too long? It's important to break out of your comfort zone and explore the world around you. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to travel to far-off destinations; even small changes to your daily routine can make a big difference.

By trying new things, you open yourself up to new experiences and perspectives, and you may discover something new about yourself in the process. Embrace your inner adventurer and take risks, whether it's trying a new cuisine, taking a class in a subject you've always been interested in, or simply exploring a new part of your city.

As T.S. Eliot wrote, "We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." By stepping outside of your comfort zone, you may gain a new appreciation for the familiar and discover a new sense of purpose and direction.

Seeking yourself outside of yourself can only offer a distorted reflection.

Breaking out of your ruts and routines is only half of the journey. The answer is always found back at square one...within. Exploration can give you a glimpse, a new perspective or way of seeing. However, always you will return to yourself, translating this perspective into personal wisdom for a tangible benefit. What have your explorations been teaching you? There is something very important for you to understand. Today, stop and think about what your journey has been repeatedly teaching you. Do something with what you have learned!  Now it is time to take all the excitement of exploration, and allow it to manifest into positive life changes.

Knight of Wands (Reversed) in a Love ReadingNew Relationship

The Knight of Wands reversed can represent a person who has difficulty moderating his fiery passions. They may lack self-control or might be impulsive to a destructive degree. If you are looking for safety, consistency, and security you may want to seek someone who can truly provide that.

Long Term Partnership

When the Knight of Wands is reversed, he (or she) can represent a noncommittal long-term partner who feels no remorse in stringing you along. Because the initial attraction was so chemical, you may feel desperate to experience the thrill of your initial passion together. You must resist the temptation to rationalize and disregard blatant red flags.

Seeking Romance

If the Knight of Wands reversed may appear when someone else is stifling your energy and freedom. If you’ve been feeling stifled, suffocated, or turned off by the actions of another person, it’s time to be up front and honest, and free yourself. If it isn’t a love match, be honest.

Understanding the dynamic nature of this relationship will allow you to make more informed decisions about your emotional investment.

Long Term Partnership

The Wheel of Fortune can symbolize a relationship that feels consistently changeable. Although the variability of the partnership may have shocked you in the past; it is now clear that it follows a consistent pattern. In a long-term partnership, the Wheel of Fortune represents the evolving nature of love. It acknowledges that change is a constant in any relationship and encourages embracing these changes as part of your shared journey. This card is a reminder that understanding and adapting to the cyclical patterns of your relationship can lead to deeper insights and a stronger bond.

Seeking Romance

If you are single, you may be feeling exhausted with the up and down yo-yo that is your love life. However, the Wheel of Fortune can appear when a change in luck is at hand. Take chances. Be less predictable. Break the old cycle that’s been keeping you stuck. The Wheel of Fortune rewards change. It’s time to find your center and flip the script.

The reversed Wheel can represent a partner who tends to move through life in reverse. This individual might be so stuck in a behavioral cycle that it seems involuntary. This card can also represent a partner who struggles with relapsing into old destructive patterns. Although they often act thoughtlessly, their behavior isn’t malicious.

In a new relationship, the reversed Wheel of Fortune warns of potential pitfalls in partnering with someone who is unable to break free from harmful patterns. It's a reminder that while the relationship may be demanding, it offers rich, life-changing experiences. This card encourages finding stability within the flux and recognizing the value in the diverse emotional landscape of your partnership.

Seeking Romance

A Wheel that moves backward will take you in reverse. This card can highlight a present situation that seems to echo the past. What will you do differently this time around? Revisiting old cycles also grants the opportunity to break them. It’s time to begin anew.

The reversed Wheel of Fortune is a call to reflect on past patterns in your love life. It suggests a moment to pause and consider how past experiences are influencing your current approach to love. The Hanged Man (Reversed) | Tarot Card of the Day

“The Hanged Man is back on his feet!”

The Hanged Man (Reversed) | Tarot Card

The Hanged Man reversed is back on his feet!

After spending considerable time suspended upside-down from the Tree of Wisdom, he is now ready to walk out into the world again, with valuable new insights. He has made tremendous sacrifices and has surrendered his ego's assumptions of how life should unfold. Instead he given himself over to the greater wisdom of the tree he spent so many years suspended from.

The Hanged Man embodies the idea of making a temporary sacrifice in order to achieve a greater goal. This may entail relinquishing time, energy, comfort, resources, old habits, or an outdated attitude. Often, success necessitates sacrifice. By directing your best energies and resources towards your objective, you can increase its potential to manifest.

The reversed Hanged Man symbolizes a period of awakening and resurgence, where the lessons learned from a phase of suspension and introspection are now being integrated into one's life. This card indicates a time of action and forward movement, suggesting that the sacrifices made have paved the way for new beginnings. It represents a transition from a state of passive waiting to active participation in shaping one's destiny. The insights gained during the period of suspension have endowed you with a new perspective, allowing you to approach life with a renewed sense of purpose and understanding. This card encourages you to apply the wisdom and patience you've cultivated to your current endeavors. It’s a reminder that the sacrifices and challenges you've faced have not been in vain but have been instrumental in your personal growth and evolution. The Hanged Man reversed invites you to embrace the changes you’ve undergone and to step confidently into this new chapter of your life, equipped with a deeper understanding of yourself and your path.

The Hanged Man (Reversed) 👣🌳 | Daily Tarot Reading/Card of the Day | Elliot Oracle #tarot

YouTube | The Hanged Man (Reversed) | Tarot Card of the Day

What changes would you like to make in your life?

Do you have a goal that requires substantial effort? Is the prospect of making a sacrifice daunting because it entails significant change?

If you aspire to accomplish anything of lasting value in this life, you will need to make sacrifices. The currency of the Universe is "exchange": what you put in, you will get out. It is reassuring to know that if you make sacrifices and do the work, you can alter the course of your destiny. Any goal can be attained, but it requires that something be relinquished. Initially, sacrificing something may feel like a loss. This is an illusion. Investing time and energy in what empowers you can free you from habits and attitudes that have been keeping you stuck.

When the Hanged Man appears reversed, it is as if all that felt upside-down is turning right-side-up again.

You may also feel more grounded and surer of your path. You have been suspended from your own metaphorical tree of wisdom, and now it is time to engage with life using the wisdom you’ve gained. All your sacrifices up until now have indeed been worth it. This is because you are perceiving your experiences within a wider context. Be proud of the things you have achieved and sacrificed for. When you look on the world with the wisdom you’ve earned through your many sacrifices, it no longer appears upside-down.

The Hanged Man (Reversed) in a Love ReadingNew Relationship

The Hanged Man reversed can represent a love interest who is currently place their own needs first. They may need a partner who can step back and allow them to tend to the deeper issues within their life and within their heart. This person requires time for self-reflection and care before they can commit their energy to the needs of another.

Long Term Partnership

The once upside-down figure of the Hanged Man is now back on his feet. This card can often symbolize a relationship that has just completed a difficult rite of passage. That which was stuck or suspended in the partnership is now progressing again. There are now new options available and opportunities to succeed. Overall, this card embodies a period of relief.

Seeking Romance

The Hanged Man reversed can also represent a personal breakthrough. Having done the hard work on yourself, there is now the possibility of more fun and romance moving forward. No matter what trials and tribulations have been faced, this card reassures you that you can always pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and move on to happier days.

The reversed Queen of Pentacles points to the need for genuine emotional connection beyond material or superficial aspects. It's a call to address underlying issues and to foster a deeper understanding and authenticity in the relationship. This card reminds couples that true security comes from emotional intimacy and mutual support, not just from external appearances or material success.

Seeking Romance

Nine of Cups (Upright) | Tarot Card of the Day

 “Plenty.”

Nine of Cups (Upright) | Tarot Card

The Nine of Cups represents savoring life and all its pleasures.

It symbolizes the enthusiasm you will awaken when you see the Universe is offering you a series of exciting opportunities and blessings, instead of a slew of anxiety-ridden obstacles. Every day is a choice, to either have a passion for living, or a fear of it. The table is set for all your wishes to come true. You just have to be bold and proactive!

The Nine of Cups upright is a joyful invitation to embrace the fullness of life, recognizing the abundance that surrounds us. This card urges us to shift our focus from scarcity and lack to the plentiful opportunities for happiness and fulfillment. It’s a reminder that joy is not just found in grand achievements or milestones, but also in the small, everyday moments. The contentment of the figure in the card reflects a state of inner peace and satisfaction achieved by acknowledging and appreciating what we have. This card encourages us to cultivate gratitude, reminding us that a thankful heart is a magnet for miracles. It also signifies the importance of a positive mindset. Just as the man in the card has created a life of abundance by believing in it, we too are called to trust in the universe's generosity. By embracing an attitude of optimism and expectancy, we open ourselves to the flow of good fortune and happiness. The Nine of Cups is a beacon of hope, reminding us that happiness is always within reach, and that our attitude plays a crucial role in accessing it.

Is anxiety and worry preventing your joy?

Do you feel like there are too many "bad" things happening so you couldn't possibly enjoy the present moment? Are you aware that life is as good or as bad as your perception of it?

The jovial man in the card has a passion for living, feasting, tasting! Sure he's chubby, but in 1909 when this card was drawn that was a good thing! It meant that you were eatin' good! He knows he's lucky. His red hat and stockings represent his vitality and boldness. He's dressed as a merchant. The successes he's acquired (the nine cups in a row) weren't just given to him, he went out in the world and got them. However, before he could acquire them, he had to realize they were already out there, ripe for the taking.

When we get caught up in our thoughts and worries, it can be easy to lose sight of the present moment.

Instead of worrying about the future, ask yourself, "Is there anything I could be doing to resolve my current issues so I can get back to the business of living?" Silently reclusing, and brooding about anxieties robs you of all the possibilities for your wishes to come true. The cups are out there. You can have them too, you just might need to overcome your fear of "out there" to get them.

Today, don't waste another minute on brooding, hiding or feeling bad about yourself or your situation. Get out there and make it happen! The banquet is set, but what attitude are you bringing to the table? Are you savoring the juiciness of life?

I love Rosalind Russell's 1958 performance as "Auntie Mame." Anyone in a depressed or discouraged mood about life should watch it! She "gets it" when she exclaims: “Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!”
