Something Random...Back in Print Soon
After almost a decade out of print, there's talk that my second book Something Random & Tragic to Set the Guts Aflame...will once again be available, this time from Mary Celeste Press of Australia. It will be an expanded 3rd edition, perfect bound, fleshed out with a cache of unpublished poems all written during the era. Additionally we're planning to record readings of all included poems, and make them available both here, and at the Mary Celeste website.
For those keeping score, Mary Celeste Press is the revamped Mockfrog Press, both edited by Matthew Ward. He was one of the very first editors to support my work, and the first to send me a trans-Pacific letter asking for a chapbook-length manuscript. That was a great day. I am delighted to be working with him again, and I am especially glad that anyone who missed the book way back in 2001-2002 can finally get hold of not only the original work, but an expanded third edition. More specifics as they come in.
Have you sent me a postal address where you can be reached? No?! Pish posh...you're among friends here! If you'd like to share your address, you can reach me via the CONTACT FORM on the INFO page.
In other news: the week began with kind words for my three new poems featured at the Rusty Truck (who doesn't have any artwork I can swipe to promote it...hint hint), which then got re-popped here and here, and ended with a right fine review from the hallowed halls of the Lilliput Review. My thanks to Scot, Jack, Tyler, and Don for giving my work such opportunity & praise.
And it's a week late--but thanks, as well, to Ben Tanzer for the quick shout over at This Blog Will Change Your Life.

The New NEWS Page...

If I can figure out what it is, and how to it works, I'll add a RSS feed for ease in getting the occasional updates. I'll likely announce new projects (including the pre-sale of special editions), or new audio, or interviews, or publications, or just new stuff added to the website. Hopefully this will be enough to keep you up-to-date without being shelled by electro-garbage and emails.
In other news: Over the years, I've written short stories. I'm making them available (most for the first time)--2 for $.99--on as many eBook platforms as I can. The far-off details of a short story collection are still in the works, so this seemed the best way to make them available until then. If you're an eBook type, or want to read them on your phone, or computer, follow the link below. As ever, I appreciate the support. The first 2Shot can be found HERE--on the cuff!
Also: I'm keeping a mailing list--not just email, but regular mail too. If you'd like your name and/or address added (or updated, if you've recently moved) drop me a quick line via the contact form on the bottom of the INFO page, and I'll fix you up. I know what you're thinking: "Why the hell should I give you my address, McCreesh?" Well, I'm afraid I don't have a good answer for that. Rest assured, there's at least a 67% chance I won't knock on your door at some rainy, unforgivable hour, and beg to sleep on an old couch. I almost never do that anymore.
