Happy Birthday to THIRST...
And what a year it’s been! From wearing T-shirts to sticking stickers all over the world, you all made THIRST an amazing experience for me -- one I can’t imagine ever topping. So thank you!And ADP, in an effort to keep their quality stable of small press offerings competitive (regardless of what that evil deathstar of a mega-online-retailer does), direct pricing on books will henceforth be a little sweeter. Remember, when at all possible, buy great small press books directly from their press, or if you’re looking for a scribbled-in copy, even directly from their authors. Cheers!

When In Rome (or Albuquerque)...DRINK!
If you find yourself in Albuquerque for the day and can only try a beer or two, THIS HANDY GUIDE might help you decide where to spend your time...it’s ABQ breweries described by the famous writer they most resemble. You’re welcome!
And if you happen to be in Albuquerque TODAY, say happy birthday to Nana.
Lastly, A DEEP & GORGEOUS THIRST is almost 1 year old. What a year, too!

Happy Belated, You Spoiled Old Toad...
Happy Belated to Bukowski...planted some 20 years now, his writhing worms writing better poetry than the rest of us.
Here’s a piece I did to celebrate for our local rag.
And here’s a few poems The Ministry of Happiness liked enough to share.

THIRST got a little love at ReadDreamRelax.
SUNLIGHT did too, thanks to AC and Eric Shonkwiler.
And a piece about LOCAL CANNED BEERS, and one about TASTY TUESDAY hit the underground newsstand...and the AIRWAVES.
And there might be new pictures since last you saw the Worldwide Drunkskull photo album.
Whew!

Underground
So, a few fun bits I’ve done for our local underground rag here in Albuquerque, The Weekly Alibi.
Having lots of fun writing about stuff I enjoy! Like:
Beer, books, & food trucks...
and
Soccer.

Lost Weekend...
Let there be BEER! For those who don’t know, Albuquerque is cranking out some pretty darn good beers these days. I drank my way through a grip of them and wrote about it HERE. You’re welcome!

10% of AUDIO Precincts Reporting...
...and already the A Deep & Gorgeous Thirst Audio Book is in great voice! With 30+ readers from Oregon to Spain, kids to septuagenarians, it’s shaping up to be a damn fine listen!
And for those of you with eReading devices, we are also hard at work making an eBook...though we have no official release date for either.
Otherwise, work continues on the first novella, Chinese Gucci. Though much remains to be done, with any luck, I’ll have a draft I’m happy with by the end of this year.
Happy Mother’s Day, all you lovely moms!

Précis of Genius
The Talented Mr. Lally at Pig Ear Press was kind enough to solicit something for his fantastic Suitcase Library Project, part of the “Making Connections” exhibition held at the ONCA Gallery last summer in Brighton, UK.
I wrote poems about artists, and specific pieces they made. I have a desperate few copies of the 26 letterpress, numbered copies made. If you’re interested in and you’re in North America, e-mail me HERE. If you’re in Europe, get hold of Mr. Lally himself HERE.

We can Paypal or ever run a card via Square! So if you’ve given away your tattered copy, of A Deep & Gorgeous Thirst to a sweet ol’ rumpot, or lost your copy of Marching Unabashed Into The Weeping, Searing Sun on a ferry to Vancouver Island...well, you’re in luck!
