Rusty Truck
The Rusty Truck has a POEM from A BATTLE CRY FROM THE TRENCHES OF THE AMERICAN DREAM -- a small chapbook I hand made 10 copies of years ago. Perhaps we'll see a few more published from it there.

Blather. Nattering On. The Occasional Insight.
The CONTACT section now has a smattering of INTERVIEWS I've done over the years (which are probably excellent for anyone looking to waste time at work).

MJP's This Is Not A Test
Michael Phillips (MJP) says a few kind things about my writing in the latest episode of his podcast This Is Not A Test.
The podcast itself is MJP (who also built the internet's biggest and best source for information about writer Charles Bukowski) walking you through some of his favorites things -- books, music, guitars, playing in punk or reggae bands -- in an enjoyable, free-form kind of sermon. Give them a listen. I've enjoyed the chance to learn more about a guy I've personally never met, yet still shared a number of different orbits with, and chances are good you (whoever you are reading this) will have something in common with him too. He's just that kind of guy.

Staying Power
Amid the hubbub of retooling the website (and within Zeitgeist-y days of each other!) WRETCHED popped up on two lists of solid Indy offerings. The book apparently has some staying power.
Edward J Rathke's BEST INDIE BOOKS I'VE EVER READ
And in a stack of CHAPBOOKS owned by Hagridden writer, Sam Snoek-Brown. Sam also once used lines from the book as chapter titles for a NaNoWriMo project he tried a couple years back. Hopefully we'll see that book someday.
Another aside: Molly Gaudry once used the book in a class she taught...and her students asked me all about it in THIS Q&A over at Big Other.
So thank you to all the fine folks who were kind enough to buy it over the years, and thanks to these talented folks who continue to brag up the book's virtues.

New Website
A wise man recently told me no one looks at websites anymore. Or, rather, they don't look at websites with their computers -- they use their tablets, smart phones, etc. So, as much as I loved the old website...the fact that it didn't work on many devices meant it had to be retooled.
And now it has. It's a little spartan now -- I'm still getting used to the new stomping grounds. But I think it looks good, so maybe less is truly more.
So this, then, is the new official site. Tell your friends and family, or, short of that, anyone that may care!
Cheers,
Hosh
