Six Sentence Sunday: The Spirit of Love #10
It's Six Sentence Sunday and This is the 10th snippet from The Spirit of Love.
If this is your first SSS, here's a quick update: Brynna and Travis lost their son (Jake) due to a tragic bicycle accident. Instead of turning to each other they drifted apart. However, they own a Ghost Hunting business and they were scheduled for a night at the Queen Mary. This is the first time they have seen each other in months. In this scene: It takes place a few paragraphs after Snippet 9 left off. Here's Snippet 7 And Snippet 8.
In this scene: Brynna tells Travis that she knew he was slipping away but she didn't have the energy to change the destructive path they were on. She missed Jake so much and the weight of the grief was drowning her. It hurt to relive the horror of their loss.
Travis then asks her if she blamed him for Jake's death since he bought their son the bike. She tells him no and wonders if he blames her for giving Jake permission to ride it that day. Travis is speaking first and reveals he does not blame her for Jake's death either.
*****************************************************************************************************
Now for the six:
He looked at her now. “I wanted to hold you and tell you everything would be all right, but in my heart I knew nothing would ever be all right again. I couldn’t fix this. I couldn’t bring our little boy back.”
Brynna blinked back tears. “What happened to us, Travis? When Jake was hit by the car, what we had as a family died with him.”

Six Sentence Sunday: The Spirit of Love #9
It's Six Sentence Sunday and This is the 9th snippet from The Spirit of Love.
If this is your first SSS, here's a quick update: Brynna and Travis lost their son (Jake) due to a tragic accident. Instead of turning to each other they drifted apart. However, they own a Ghost Hunting business and they were scheduled for a night at the Queen Mary. This is the first time they have seen each other in months. In this scene: It takes place a few paragraphs after Snippet 8 left off. Here's Snippet 7 too.
Brynna just asked Travis if he loved her so much how could he have cheated on her?
******************************************************************************************************
Now for the six: (Travis is speaking.)
“You shut me out, but I take full responsibility for my stupidity. That night I drank myself into oblivion thinking it would ease my pain, but in the light of day, it had only escalated the problem. It doesn’t change anything, I know, but I don’t remember being with Tanya. I never wanted her.” He shifted the camera to his other arm, sliding the strap high on his shoulder. “I wanted you, Brynna.”
******************************************************************************************************
The sincerity of his words breaks Brynna's heart. She knows what he says is true. For months, she pushed him away, but hearing the facts doesn't make the reality of his betrayal hurt any less. Unfortunately, love does not solve everything. You can love someone and still disappoint them.
Have you ever been in a relationship where you both disappointed the other in some way? Were you able to work out your problems and forgive each other or did the relationship end?
****************************************************************************************************

Six Sentence Sunday: The Spirit of Love #8
It's Six Sentence Sunday and This is the 8th snippet from The Spirit of Love.
In this scene: It takes place a few paragraphs after Snippet 7 left off.
**************************************************************************************************
(A ghost exploding light bulbs isn't going to stop Travis from talking and confronting their problems. Brynna and Travis couldn't be together without being reminded their son was no longer with them. They both did things to hurt each other. Brynna feels cornered and figures if Travis wants to talk. She'll do the talking first.)
Now for the six:
“You had an affair and you broke my heart. End of story.”
“I know.”
She hadn’t expected him to say that. She thought he would deny it, make excuses. “Then why did you do it?”
